Ich muß auf English schreiben (tut's mir so lied) weil mein Deutsch immer noch schlecht ist. I went to college from 1998-2001 at the UMUC campus in Schwäbisch Gmünd that closed in 2002. When the Yilmaz brothers opened this shop on Buchstraße, it was the closest place to campus and became a fast favorite for many students. My roommate and I used to order the börek pizza with Spinat, Knoblauch und Zwiebeln and it was to die for. It was also affordable for a college student, and always arrived fresh and hot (and fast since it was close by). The brothers' greetings over the intercom at the dorms were always so cheerful and I loved walking to the Imbiss to pick up an order from them for the same reason. There was always an enthusiastic welcome and a lot of laughs to be had. It's more than 20 years since I've eaten there and I'm sure things have changed but I haven't been able to find anything even close to those magical börek creations. I miss this spot so much. Glad to see it's still open. read more
