ENERGETIC! but not overwhelming. It has that small church vibe with two services at 9AM and 11AM…read more People who go to church regularly and even those who do not would feel comfortable. The music is good, not real long but be ready for some serious teaching. The teaching is conversational and not preachy and right out of the Bible. There is something for children in both services. Kids are everywhere! Some are even in the service.

So, I'm giving Northbridge a 4. ...but I think it's good that the church, as a whole, doesn't go around trying to look perfect either. They're about living in and living out the grace displayed through the Gospel, and holding to the truth of the Gospel...being the "good news" of Jesus Christ. The first time my husband and I went to Northbridge we saw a couple people who obviously struggled to fit in socially...yet they were out there...one seemed to be pleasantly waiting and enjoying the atmosphere, the other smiling and talking with people. On our way out, we discussed the thought that if this church didn't try to 'hide' these people, then we just might fit in ourselves! It's close to 10 years later, and while no church is perfect, we definitely found "home". --My husband adds that he really likes that "without ignoring the reality of sin, the pastor preaches/teaches the importance of the grace Christ extends to us...and extending that grace to others."

Before then, we just couldn't find a church to go to, and I am so grateful and thankful that my sister told us about this one! Ada bible offers a safe place for everyone, and everyone from the greeters to the attendees are super friendly and caring. Areas for younger age groups are available while service is in session, and cookies, coffee, and tea is complimentary. I myself have made an unexpected friend here, someone who noticed my love for tea and introduced me to a brand that I truly adore to this day! Anyway, I'm getting off topic. Ada Bible Church is great! Each service starts with three or four popular and trending christian songs that are played live from a band, where everyone is free to sing along if they wished. There are three main rooms where you can attend service: the main auditorium, and two areas on the second floor, where the service is relayed from the auditorium to a projector for each room. The auditorium and one of the rooms upstairs each have their own live bands. What's even more wonderful is that each service is recorded and accessible (even live) on their website, which is perfect for me as I am currently away and out of state doing a temporary internship. This allows me to stay up to date in the lessons and to jump right back on in when I return. Pastor Jeff offers a themed lessons that extend over a period, highlighting stories within the scripture to describe and teach each learning point within the lesson. His charming and often humorous character highlights his ability to express a sense of ease and comfort, while his genuine and often emotional demeanor portrays his caring and love for others. The church often participates in fundraisers for various causes, and food and supply donations for care organizations (homeless shelters, schools, etc.) have been consistently organized throughout each given year. Honestly, I miss attending in person, and I cannot wait to come back and rejoin my family in learning God's word together.

We can't take an offering for food and not have food to offer…read more... White washed tombs. Starbucks, Disney and Chick-fil-A are all models they use and suggest you also use. "Mission" They have a T-shirt for it, and a good photo op, with a sprinkle of service. But a struggling family needing groceries or a widow about to be evicted; no food, no help available. Send them to the government, we don't have it. 8 faithful years, on fire, a true ambassador. I thought for the kingdom, but what I found out was that it was for a different kind of kingdom. I waited almost a year to write this because it's just so heartbreaking and I wanted to make sure I wasn't responding out of anger. We met a lot of great people and there are still a lot of really great people that are members, I think that's why most people just leave quietly. It's messy. It's like cleaning up glitter poured over something you really love, but have to admit there's a mess after it falls. There's so many little things that we overlooked and that we sadly participated in and perpetuated. Some will frame this as "going against God" but James is not God. This is a direct reflection of the cult-ure he's established (very well might I emphasize) You can "do good things" and still be completely wrong. He's completely impersonal, he couldn't tell you our children's names, probably not even age range but he did know we owned a business. Most of our exchanges included asking about business and having a "prosperous" week. It was flattering at first. But when things in life came crashing in on us, this church was quite literally not there. We "knew" many people but didn't do any actual real life with them, and as soon as we realized that and tried to start making these relationships, it was clear that was not the kind of community they were looking for. Everything is exclusive. They allow staff to use the kids area for birthdays or have weddings but not tithing members... They hold "freedom" events but starve them spiritually every Sunday, no more than 2 lines of the Bible are ever read from the pulpit and he is quoted saying "I don't know how I'm going to do this, I'm a 20 minute Jesus loves you pastor" and that said everything. He's not a pastor, he's an evangelist , and that's perfectly fine, but do not claim the name of Pastor when your flock is continually abandoned by you. A terrible shepherd. Books sales, numbers, score cards, appearance, clout, self congratulations and promotion are all very important to James. He has a fan club like David Koresh, this is partly why no one speaks out. I'm embarrassed I ate steak and screamed victory, while others starved. I've repented and so glad to be out from the shadow of such a terrible organization. I have many, many more occurrences of misconduct and many people have reached out privately with their stories of this organization but are quite literally too scared to speak up. Oh, a 2.5 million dollar payroll will easily start your journey into compromise, who pays a full time salary with full benefits to a made up corporate position? They do. We gave sacrificially, putting off things we needed, and they go and buy 20k signage and take unnecessary trips to africa so he can impart his white savior mentality abroad. Honestly that's enough, I have more. It is all so bizarre and corrupted. So when you see them soon patting themselves on the back for serving Fulton, know they denied a WIDOW from that very campus help from being evicted because she didn't tithe regularly but DID serve faithfully, for years. I have also recorded this entry and our experience with a local attorney because they will try to have it removed. To the fake elder board: Woah to you. God sees every compromise.
