I booked an appointment with Impact Orthodontics to find out if I was a candidate. I was greeted on entry by receptionist Brittney, who instantly made me feel welcome and comfortable. I was taken to my meeting with Patricia, on time. She was professional, yet patient and personable. She made certain I understood all the information. Amazing technology to produce a 3-D picture. Dr Jenn Smith gave me confidence in her ability to personalize a program best for me. What I loved was that there was no "hard sell". Ultimately I was not a good candidate, but I was never made to feel like I wasted anyone's time. This introductory program was an hour, and no charge. We moved from the U.S. to Calgary and had a previous orthodontist that started our daughter on Invisalign. I can say that without a doubt this practice is far superior to the orthodontist that we started with in the States. The office is clean and bright, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the actual orthodontists here are fantastic. The continued monitoring of my daughter's progress was great. I find this orthodontist and office very unprofessional. My son had braces for 2 years and when they were removed he was given a retainer. he told the orthodontist that he would like a wire so his teeth would not move. as he had some health problems it was difficult to wear his retainer. they said no! his teeth moved back to where they were previously and we went to another orthodontist for a second option and the other orthodontist asked how much the braces cost and we told him $7000.00 plus. he said that was too bad because our sons teeth were the same as before he had his braces on. when I contacted the clinic I was told it did not matter as we did not pay for it in the first place because insurance paid for it. The orthodontist said she would put his braces back on for $1200.00 we never did go back because our son was very upset over the whole thing!!! read more

So you or your kids need braces? The choices of where to go and what treatment to get often seem completely overwhelming. You ask friends and family for referrals, you check out different places, you agonize over which office will be best for your family. At least, if you're like me, you do. With 2 children needing orthodontic work, I knew I needed to do my homework. I went to EIGHT different offices to ask for opinions. Impact was my ninth place -- and by the time I walked into that cheery purple office, I was exhausted by the search and ready to sign with the office that was geographically closest to me. Dr. Jen blew me away. She was the ONLY doctor to speak directly to my child and to not patronize her. She was the only one to make it completely clear about the treatment plan, and to cover all the bases -- like what the next course of treatment was, etc. The plan covered my daughter for LIFE -- with no massive down payment needed and low monthly payments that wouldn't mean we'd be surviving on baked beans while my daughter's teeth improved. Anna's teeth straightened so quickly with just braces -- though we'd been told by a few doctors that we needed to be very aggressive with treatment -- and she NEVER complained, even at 9 years old, about going to the office for check ups. She looked forward to going. Not for the iPads or the treats or the hot chocolate machine. For the people there. The staff genuinely love each other -- the atmosphere is always cheerful and fun. Anna is done treatment now and still asks to visit when we go for our appointments! My son, who's my stubborn one, started his treatments midway through Anna's - and even HE looks forward to his visits. His teeth have progressed so well and the 2 kids in braces didn't make a huge dent in our budget. Then I decided to touch up my orthodontic work from my teens -- my teeth had shifted over the years. So now we had 3 of us in orthodontic work -- and yet we aren't in the poor house. Impact's easy, amazing payment plan (with no interest, by the way) that covers us for LIFE, made a huge difference in our decision about where to go. But what clinched it? Knowing that this is Dr. Jen and Dr. Dena's passion. That this is their life mission. I know they'd fix teeth for free if they could and I know they genuinely care about us more than about the money (which I cannot say about some of the places I checked out). If you're looking for somewhere that's fast, fun, friendly, and financially easy, this is the place for you. I cannot emphasize enough how much this office has changed our faces and our lives. Dr. Jen and Dr. Dena are the nicest and most welcoming orthodontist's in Calgary! They are super friendly and work well with individual's of all age groups. I have been thinking about getting Invisalign for a while but was unsure of where to go. However, I am beyond happy that I ended up coming to Impact Orthodontics. I cannot wait for my new smile! The rest of the staff is also extremely friendly and welcoming and the office space is very well renovated. Highly recommend! read more

I never write reviews but... I was looking for a slight fix for my teeth for my wedding and I was sold on their inexpensive offering that is similar to invisaline. They created a first retainer for me and then simply notched it in to move my one tooth back. These retainers cost nothing and I received 2 out of the process. I wanted to have a wire installed in the end to maintain the movement but was convinced to just use the retainers to sustain, Well the maintenance retainer was like paper and it disintegrated in a few months...leaving me with only the ones from my movement process. They called me to come in for a checkup and I asked how much its going to cost for me to replace my retainer...it was $200. Well I cannot sustain a $200 fee every 6months to a year, so I asked if I could have the wire installed as it was my original choice...of course I could but my old quote which was a year ago wasnt valid so it went from $150 to $500. What a joke! They would not honor it either. read more
