I have had several meals at the Four Regions, and have enjoyed every single one. Located on Kew…read moreRoad, the restaurant itself is beautifully done, with contemporary decor, comfortable leather chairs, and white tablecloths on the table. I agree with the reviewers who describe it as upmarket, and would add that it is the kind of restaurant you might go to for an intimate meal with friends or family, though I have certainly seen small groups of coworkers here as well. The food is wonderful. I thoroughly recommend the sesame prawn toast, which is nicely done, and the pan fried dumplings as starters. My partner and I always order the crispy Peking duck as a second course. The Four Regions cooks its duck to perfection, leaving the meat moist, the skin crisp. Of course, it is served with thin pancakes and hoisin sauce, which help round out this classic dish. I am rarely hungry by the third course, as the first two are so satisfying, but I occasionally order one of the Four Regions' chicken entrees, including the chicken with asparagus, or the green chicken curry. My mother-in-law and I often share an order of the broccoli in garlic sauce, which is very tasty as well. In fact, I do not think you can go wrong with most of the dishes on the menu! Service at the Four Regions is impeccable. The staff is very attentive and happy to oblige. Overall, I have found the experience at the Four Regions to be nothing but pleasant, and will happily return.

After a long difficult day, we decided to order a delivery from Tasty Garden Twickenham. We have…read morehad a delivery from the restaurant before and we like the food. This is not a complaint about the food. The company have a handy timer on their website to show when to show estimated time of delivery. With 15 minutes before the delivery time, we sat at the end of the garden talking about our day. I heard a knock, but by the time we got to the door the delivery man was getting back on to his moped. The conversation highlights are as follows: * "I called you. Why didn't you answer the door?" * "I called you twice and knocked on the door. Where were you?" * "But I have been ringing and knocking on the door? Where were you?" We apologised but explained he was 15-minutes early and we did not have the phone in the garden. * "I'm busy. It's Friday. Where were you?" * We took food paid with cash and gave a tip to the driver * He continued to be aggressive and unpleasant, shouted at my husband and he threw tip at us. We called Tasty Garden to explain what had happened. The man who answered the phone said the delivery man was busy as it was a Friday night, the timer is only an estimate and we were wrong to rely on it as a delivery time and what did we want him to do about it. When I said an apology would be the first step, he said sorry, he would speak to the delivery man but there was nothing he could do about it. I asked to speak to the manager, and he claimed to be the manager and he hung up. The food was good, but we would not recommend delivery unless you want to be abused on your doorstep and have your tip thrown back at you.
