They claim that "the customer comes first", but allowed my new neighbors to loose their beloved dogs:2 died the 3rd ALSO relinquished to shelter to try and save its life. All because their landlord did not pay his bill. They are in 115+ degree heat, a week...she is also disabled. I called the company to ask how to get help to them and was told they have THE RIGHT to refuse service to the NEW TENNANT due to a LANDLORD not paying HIS previous bill. This is barbaric and INHUMANE. I will NOT stand by and just be silent. If it had been her child(human) SHE would go to jail! Where are we anyway? I THOUGHT this was the UNITED STATES?? California? I am happy with Imperial Irrigation Dist....except for one part. While trying to go paperless I was told I needed to give them my social security number or I couldn't go paperless.....REALLY !!! Why do the rest of the utility companies not need that number......As a huge company you should know better. Way too much fraud out there....How about catching up with the rest of the utilities and maybe use a driver lisc or last 4 numbers of your SS number. You would think being a Utility Company you would want to save energy....How many trees are wasted because you are still working in the dark ages..... Guess for now you can keep sending me a monthly bill and waste more money on stamps !!!! read more

I am very disappointed with the customer service from IID. I tried to deal with an issue via email, but ended up having to call in. I found out that I had entered one digit incorrectly when signing up for auto pay (my fault entirely). Instead of sending me an email or calling me to let me know my payment had been rejected by the bank I instead received a delinquency notice and a threat of shut off. They also would not reduce the bank rejection fee. This is a very impersonal entity to deal with that shows they only care about taking your money and tacking on fees. read more
