The T&T in Lynnwood doesn't disappoint at all. While it is smaller than the Factoria location, we do not personally have any complaints. The place is not always packed like the Factoria location and that is a a relief. We primarily use the food & bakery sections, live fish, and frozen food sections. One can say they are a bit pricier in comparison to places like Ranch Market who have similar options but we T&T is closer to us than Ranch Market and so we prefer to go here as it is more convenient. They are special items during Boat Festival every year and we absolutely love the bun station during this time. This is also a great place to experiment with a lot of not usually found Asian alcohol in main stream supermarkets unless you are specially going to a specialty shop.

Pro tip: Don't be intimidated by the stoic, standoffish staff at the deli counter or the register. Enjoy the culinary experience wandering their grocery aisles and remember your shopping bag(s) to package up your purchases. Because I had also stocked up at the other market in Tacoma, I noticed similarities in the product availability. However, I was able to find other things of interest especially in the smoked meats, condiments, chocolates, and biscuits areas. I enjoyed looking closely at their wine and spirits section...unique labels I would not find at my usual Ravenna wine shop in Seattle. Every time I visit, I pick up a fruit or vegetable that I haven't tried before. Today it was a small Korean melon with bright yellow skin. The guys who work the fish counter are personable and knowledgeable. The man who helped us made a good suggestion for the type of fish to use in a soup, and didn't grumble when, near closing, he had to start up the equipment to cut it for us. The parking lot can be busy but I just choose to park farther away from the door. Also, try to go during an off hour--the veggie section (and the store in general) can get crowded. I suggest stopping by the deli section at the front of the store to see what treats are available. Last time I tried a tasty steamed cake wrapped in banana leaf. Another tip is to jump on specials as soon as you see them. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up an entire pack of oxtails for 1.99 a pound. I went back a few days later and they were gone. I still bought oxtails, for up to $2.00 less a pound than other stores. Lastly, double check the expiration dates on prepackaged foods. Every once and a while you'll find one that is past it's prime.

The parking lot was accessible westbound on 196th Street Southwest and had spots available when I arrived midday/early afternoon. A worker at the front counter greeted me when I entered the store and food items were straightforward to find and browse. I love mango and was pleased to find a variety of mango offerings both in terms of brand offerings for a particular item (such as mango fruit drink) and in terms of different items. I went with a Shezan mango fruit drink and a Mezban mango cupcakes frozen item. The total came in at less than five dollars and my cash payment method was accepted. Both items were delicious. I had an all around enjoyable experience.
