She made sure we were comfortable before the tour, answered every question my husband had (and there were a lot), and was extremely patient and knowledgeable. UPDATE: I moved out. I had problems with 2 neighbors above me who were 2 loud. The leasing office acted as if it was no big deal. They made me fight my own housing court battle with one of the people who lived above me... which I lost. Luckily, after all that, they finally let me out of the lease early. That apartment complex was the Circle of Hell. I've never dealt with a more check out, defense leasing company. Never have I spent more money coming back from a horrible situation. Never have a had more of a collection of loser neighbors.... Home all day, loud music, drunk, Airbnb lessors. The owners looked the other way. Updated Post: 10.28.2019 I will be seeing them in Court. The crime addendum states nothing about an accident on the property. Again, an accident is civil not criminal. Especially an accident where my insurance covered 100% the damages of the other parties vehicle. I've had several run ins with him where he has always turned around and told her xyz and her she comes with a notice on my door. He also has all neighbor kids outside his apartment every time I come out..I had to ban my kids from interacting with him. Cant play my music, kids cant play outside or sit on stairs cant have company from out of town stay the night, cant have mail delivered in my kids name because she assumes it's for someone else instead of checking the lease. Too much, its like staying with strict parents. People have 5+ people staying in an apartment every day but will have something to say about my company (which i rarely have) I'm from Michigan and have 0 family out here outside of the friends I've made. I come from a family where my granny had over 22 kids so my family is always out here visiting but here the manager is stating it's the same person from before, I just decided not to keep telling her 1 week it's someone and the next week it's someone else because my company isn't her business The final straw was a parking lot accident where i moved one car from my parking spot to put another car there due to it overheating, in the midst there was an incident where a car was side swiped against. I didn't even notice due to a) being in the ER for over 12 hours the night before with kids and off no sleep. When police came out and walked me around both vehicles insurance information was exchanged and a claim filed. She decides that a civil incident is criminal and starts an eviction process because of the crime addendum that was signed, again although the police stated IT IS CIVIL. Additionally, SHE LIED stating an unoccupied resident hit and fled the scene OH and hid the vehicle on their property but yet the pictures police took clearly shows it was located in my parking spot & I was out there while the pictures were took. Insurance claim clearly said I was driving..and the time she said it happens was a lie She is a joke and pretty sure racist. She tried to say that sage was marijuana, I burn sage twice a week to keep evil spirits like hers away and here she is at my door talking about it reeks of marijuana, everyone knows when you burn sage you open all the windows to let the smoke out. Like lady i will take a drug test today and pass with flying colors, i have never smoked in my life. I pay rent with money i worked hard for. I am not on disability or section 8. If you value your money DONT COME HERE. you can be $10 short and they will say they cant accept your partial payment. Although there are pros and cons to any multi-family living, having a staff member address and work hard to rectify the issue is important. I LOVE MY APARTMENT! I have lived in 11 different apartment complexes. This is the best because the agents (Laine super cool) and manager Kelly are so nice and helpful. The property is always looking great and laundry rooms are clean. They have 4 pools, club house, basketball court and soccer play area, that's turned into a cricket field, nightly. The people in my section are friendly. We all know each other and actually have conversation with each other. Great location, ASU next door, Safeway down the street. Transit is literally on right in front of the complex. If your looking for a place to live, this is the place to checkout. read more

This has been by far my worst living experience. My bathrooms have over flooded 3X in the last 3 weeks, my AC has gone out 5X, I've had a ceiling leak and then mold growing from the ceiling and my shower has erosion from all of the plumbing issues. In addition to all of this I've had to have my stove, my refrigerator, and my dishwasher replaced because NONE of the appliances worked . To make matters worse, my neighbors constantly throw their disgusting cigarettes all over the front of our walkway where my two year old attempts to pick up those cancer sticks and when I asked the front office to ask that they please stop doing that, my request was ignored ---specifically by the front office rep named Thomas . I've also advised the complex of a sink whole in the parking area on several different occasions for several months and that has yet to be corrected --I drive over this daily and every day my car sinks into this hole ---it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt and the complex seems to not care. The exterior of apartment looks awful due to water damage and that's causing sink holes in the walls . I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone . It's overly priced and a constant fixer upper that nobody is willing to fix . read more

Desert Palms is probably the cheapest apartment you can get near ASU. $795 a month + utilities I do agree with Gary, there's plenty of sketch people around but if you tend to mind your own business and pray that the people in the units around you are quiet Desert Palms is actually not that bad. Pros: Pretty timely when it comes to maintenance requests. Didn't overcharge on the move-out inspection. (Only a $18 fee for oven cleaning) Their office offers free printing and they have a pretty decent sized gym. Place was good for a cheap year of slumming it but after that you may get a little tired of this place. *Pray to the heavens your neighbors are the more orderly Chinese students and not the welfare druggies.~ read more

She was very efficient and prompt and super friendly. Even though there were a lot of people she was friendly and helpful. The other guy returned shortly and they got the place cleared out. Both were super friendly and it's good to know that the front office is so extremely helpful. We also walked over to my sons apartment. I lived there from 2016 to 2018 and I loved every single minute of it. There were no major issues at home, every issue was looked at within 24 hours, maintenance was good, safety was good (they have a guard scouting the place at night), leasing team were the best in business and the stay was enjoyable. I interacted with Courtney when I first decided to stay in DPV and she was great! She walked me through the whole process and spent some extra time answering all my questions as I was in India, planning on come here for my masters and getting all this done over the phone and email. I reserved my apartment and she told me exactly what I needed to do and was there to receive me on the day of move-in. I'd say this was better than hotel-like service. Top notch. Here's a quick summary of the pros and cons: PROS + Great location: close to Safeway and Starbucks + Fantastic leasing and maintenance team + Big, spacious houses + Multiple pools and BBQ areas spread across the community CONS - No in-unit washer and dryer I was so happy with my stay in DPV that when my sister was coming to ASU this Spring, I wanted her to stay at DPV. The community manager, Kelly was ever so helpful in handling all the administrative details with my sister and her roommates. Since they're all new to this process and they were all in different cities, it took a lot of effort to get all their applications in and reserve the unit. There were some delays and Kelley was so understanding of the situation every single time. She was the reason why the move-in for my sister and her roommates was so easy and welcoming. Last but not the least, I have to talk about the fantastic leasing and maintenance team at DPV. They're the primary reason why we residents feel so comfortable and enjoy living there. It's not just Courtney and Kelley, everyone there is like family. Thomas, for instance, always welcomes you with a smile and is always ready to help you. He would get all my requests looked at in a jiffy when I was staying there and for my sister, he ensured that all their minor move-in fixes were taken care of within 2 hours. It always brightens up my day when I meet someone full of energy and Thomas is that guy. Lane is another person that I've worked personally interacted with. She's sweet and always willing to help you out. There are a couple of new people that have come in, but I'm pretty sure they're all great. I mean with such awesome people around you, how can you not be awesome! I loved staying in DPV and now I'm used to expecting that level of performance and commitment from every other leasing team that I interact with. My son attends the university nearby and lives in the complex and it is very important to me that he is in a safe environment while still having the convenience of being able to walk to school. I have been very happy with the complex and the apartment manager's diligence in resolving issues. We have not had many issues come up but those that have occurred (i.e., hit and run in the parking lot by another tenant) have been immediately addressed by the complex. The apartment manager, Kelly, has been very responsive to any questions or concerns we have and I find her to be very professional. Cons: so many bugs outside with all the grass, annoying 7AM loud ass grass cutters every damn morning, inconvenient wash/dry machines, sketchy neighbors, dirty exterior of the apartments. I should have posted this review a long time ago. I lived there for 3 and half years with my girlfriend. This was the first time I was getting an apartment by myself. They made my first experience amazing. The staff is always friendly and so is the maintenance staff. They respond quickly to your requests and always professional. It's really close to Arizona State University. It's literally a 10 minute bike ride to the SDFC. You got a gas station (QT) less than a 1 minute drive. Safeway, Frys and Walmart close by too. He evaluated what needed to happen and got the old plaster down and fresh material up quickly. A long overdue review of my first apartment in Arizona, Desert Palm Village. I toured this place in February 2017; Thomas was my tour guide, and he expertly sold the place. Without hesitation I signed a lease for a reasonable cost, and I lived at this complex from August 2017-June 2018. My apartment faced a walkway and the community center on the north side. Personally I don't care for the wood exterior, versus the much more attractive south properties, but the interiors are the same, which counts considerably more to me. There are community laundry rooms, which, though not my personal preference, still worked out fine. I didn't have a single complaint about bugs, mold, mildew, or any of the sort of nightmares people recount about their apartment experiences. For matters that required the intervention of the Maintenance staff, I was always impressed by how quick and thorough they worked. Be assured, future renters: Desert Palm Village Maintenance is the best in the business. By far my favorite aspect of the community is the abundance of avian wildlife. At any point throughout the day, you will encounter a great many finches, mourning doves, a species of crow/raven I have yet to figure out, and -- my personal favorite -- pigeons. My patio was, for a time, a subject of interest for several of the same pigeons, who visited me on a regular basis. My daily interactions and caring for these birds became a delight for passersby, the majority of my neighbors, and even a few kind staff members. I noticed that these particular birds had made a nest in the infrastructure of my building, and that of course is not conducive for a long-term, healthy exterior. The Maintenance staff were pointedly aware of this, and they justifiably plugged up the building where these pigeons had lived. However, they did not do so until right after I moved out of my apartment. Coincidence or not, I reiterate how great these people are. I have many anecdotes about Desert Palm Village, mostly involving pigeons, so I believe this is a sufficient place to conclude my review. The staff is enthusiastic about their work, the floor plans, prices, and surrounding areas fit any lifestyle; I recommend Desert Palm Village for first-time residents and lifelong Arizonians alike. This is the go-to place. I'm an ASU student that's lived here for an entire year and not had a single issue! Some bullet points: -Neighbors are no louder than anywhere else. Sometimes you hear them going up or down the stairs, but that's about it. -People are friendly enough that I can take night walks completely comfortably (I'm a small dude, but it's 90% A.S.U. students and families here). -Haven't seen a single bug and I've never been sprayed. I'm second story, so take that with a grain of salt, but they offer free extermination if you want it. -This probably seems like a payed review so I'll throw in something negative just to be realistic-the outside of the apartment buildings is yellow and sort of ugly, but the trees and greenery are beautiful, and like any Disney movie will tell you, it's what's on the inside that matters. Also the "gym" is small (4 or 5 lifting machines, a few treadmills), but it's free, and growing! -Management is super friendly too. Everyone says Thomas is the man to talk to, and he IS awesome, but so is everyone else there! -The few negative reviews I see on here are completely out of left field. I understand people have different experiences, but they seem to be more spiteful than anything else. Don't take them too seriously. All in all, an affordable, quiet, friendly apartment complex. Originally chose this place because they accepted our large dogs, staff seemed friendly and welcoming at first but shortly thereafter have proven to be aggressively rude. I relocated from another state. The office staff here made my transition nearly seamless. I arrived and found everything in order, my apartment was brand spanking new and located perfectly for my family. I could not have asked for anything more. upon getting situated we had a few issues due to the newness of the space, contacted the office and the awesome maintenance team showed up immediately, making everything perfect. I wish that I could remember the names of the maintenance team members who came out to satisfy the order. Hopefully you have a record.They not only arrived quickly, they were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to explain things to us as well as service whatever we needed. been here for two years just signed a new lease. I have a two bedroom very spacious master bedroom and living room. I have 3 younger children and they enjoy the pool and basketball court. There is a lot of young families here I would really LOVE to see a playground go up. The staff is great! When something comes up or needs attention they will get a hold of you quickly. Same goes for the maintenance staff. At first I wasn't too excited because the apartments are a little out dated but rent was reasonable. Even thought there aren't any washer and dryers in the units they do have convenient laundry facilities near. All in all my experience has been good. I would recommend it. i very recently became a resident of the desert palm village apartment complex. my apartment is damn near spotless, but my boyfriend has to keep killing cockroaches. because my apartment is kept so clean means that those pesky little spawns of satan can't be here because of filth or whatever it is that attracts them. i will be putting in a notice with the front office and with the maintenance crew about this issue bright and early in the morning in hopes that this gets resolved very quickly. i will post an update of my experience after having maintenance take care of a serious problem, i'm sure that this will all blow over smoothly because i've talked to the maintenance men and they seem like they're always happy to help out with any problems. other than the cockroach issue, i love my apartment. read more

Juan the maintenance man was awesome. I don't sugar coat anything EVER IN LIFE, besides my Cheerios. I went down to the office to tell someone I had a problem. I had leaky pipe in my ac unit and it was dripping onto the ceiling tile above causing the tile to warp and it was like really wet. I take a few pictures to show. And spoke with Dillon and Lane they helped me without reservation. So within I say 20 minutes or less the maintenance man Juan shows up. He says hi I'm here to help. I'm shocked he came that fast. He literally came and was waiting while I was still in office talking to Lane. I run home he's already ready. He evaluates my problem and get to fixing the problem. He even took my trash out due to the fact the tile was wet and he didn't want the floor getting wet. He also changed out my leaky garbage disposal like within 15 minutes he had both jobs done and was great. I trusted him in my home like he's a great dude. Only one I want fixing my stuff lol. He has great work ethic. I'm a Gm and I know a great worker when I see one. read more

I took a chance and moved when my old lease was up, and was happy to have found Desert Palm Village. It's a decent location near many businesses, has the ORBIT shuttle if you need it, and is situated in the middle of many freeways. It's a major complex but I hardly see anyone else around. What really sold me was the management. Work orders were taken care of quickly, there was always someone in the leasing office to help, my rent checks were not getting lost, etc. However, four months into my new lease, the honeymoon phase started to end. Work orders required follow-up. I realized how sloppy and lazy my neighbors are, leaving trash outside as well as their dog poop. DPV also changed their office hours to close at 5:30 on weekdays instead of 6:00 (and didn't announce it, of course, so imagine my surprise when I showed up at 5:40 and it was closed). If you work until 5 and want to pay rent or pick up a package -- you're most likely SOL and have to wait until the weekend. This loses major points for me because it's unfair to those of us who work full-time to pay our rent. I can say I was probably 80% happy with my living situation up until now, but these last things are the real kicker and I'll be considering carefully whether I will renew my lease with Desert Palm Village. read more
