Being there on a Thursday early afternoon provided for a relaxed atmosphere and great sun-bathing spot on the couches of The Spot restaurant. I would not, however, count on this spaciousness on a weekend when all of Amsterdam and the rest of the Randstad seeks asylum from the city heat-terror on the beaches of the North Sea. Foodwise, my experience was quite good. The berry smoothie is delicious. And in case you missed breakfast in the rush of getting to the beach, the breakfast offer sounds great and healthy. I was a little bit disappointed that they had ran out of the salad I wanted to order, but my alternative was quite nice as well. The vibe and style is very surfer chic, which is my favorite seaside style. After your lunch or breakfast, within reasonable digestion time, you can rent a SUP or take a surfing lesson, or simply go to the beach.
