I strained my lower back while doing deadlifts 2 weeks ago, and my back has been in the process of recovery and feeling better until yesterday after I tried doing yoga first time after my injury. My lower back pain and stiffness returned and this time ice/hot therapy did not help anymore. I yelp'd local chiropractors and found this place. I called in this afternoon to make an appointment and hoped I could be seen as soon as possible, Dr. Bannett was able to fit me in the very same day. I came in with my stiff and sore lower back with a little bit of numbness on and off in my legs. Dr. Bennett assessed my condition, did a little adjustment, and said my core, hip, and quad muscles were very tight. (My knotty muscles!) He was able to loosen the muscles and yes it does hurt a bit in the process, but boy, when I stood up again, I felt normal and the pain was gone! Dr. Bennett also educated me of my pain (stay hydrated and stop unnecessary nutritional supplements) and taught me a stretching move that I can do at home to help relax the hip muscles. He not only showed me the moves but also watched me do it twice to make sure I really got it and could do it correctly by myself. At the end, he offered to give me more homework to do at home if the stiffness is not gone in 2 weeks with stretching and foam rolling. Dr. Bennett is phenomenal. I started going to him a few months ago for pain in my shoulders and upper back that had me popping Advil all day just to get some modicum of relief. Keep in mind I'm only 21. Although there is still pain, since I've started seeing him bi-monthly, I have actually been able to sleep and sit still without constant flashes of pain. I have a 2 month old little girl who was not able to turn her head to the left very easily which was causing a flat spot on her head. I tried to work with getting her to turn her head but it was like she had a spring in her neck and would go back to the right almost instantly. You could tell it was very uncomfortable for her maybe even a little painful. We took her to see Dave and he was so gentle with her and did some magical finger work (yes even little baby's need to be adjusted sometimes) and ever since she has been turning her head freely and looking all over the place as an infant should be. Dr. Bennett is the man! I've played rugby for 13 years and my playing days would have been over long ago were it not for his care. He has helped me with back, knee, and leg problems. He does a great job listening and assessing, and I always leave feeling much better. Under his care I have never had an issue linger more than a few visits. In addition to his treatments, he gives great advice on stretching, taping, etc. to help you heal faster and prevent recurrences. Also, he has a great bed side (table side?) manner. I had injured the bottom of my feet last September. I had seen numerous doctors and physical therapist and nothing really worked in the long term. My podiatrist think it was plantar fasciitis and prescribed me to sonic wave treatments and told me a bunch of stretching exercises for my feet, including the rolling bottle of icy water under my feet, and wearing special insoles and rest. There was very little improvement. Finally the solution came as I read about A.R.T.(Active Release Technique) and that it solves about 90% of soft tissue, ligament related injuries. I went online and found that Dr. Bennett knows A.R.T. and booked an appointment with him. The whole appointment took about half an hour. Dr. Bennett found the muscle underneath the Tibias(Shin bone) to be too tight and was the cause to my feet pain. He massaged that muscle for a couple of minutes for both of my feet, which was super painful, but after the massage, I was able to walk bare feet with no pain. Then He showed me the technique so I can massage the muscle at home. I had only seen Dr. Bennett twice for my feet and they are so much better now. On Saturdays Dr. Bennet is the trainer for my rugby club, which is where I met him a couple months ago. Around the same time, during the first game of the season, I sprained my ankle while playing on turf. Having never had any kind of experience with that sort of injury I didn't take proper care of it at first and was slow to heal. Meanwhile I was getting it locked down with tape by Dr. Bennet for games on Saturdays, hearing about how I needed to stop by and see him for a real appointment. Well, I'm glad I did! Let me start off by saying that Dr Bennett is the BOMB!!! I found Dr. Bennett by going to the A.R.P. Website looking or a Dr. that would take my insurance. A.R.P. was The technique that was used on my when I slipped and fell in 06' and although the I would live with some kind of pain for the rest of my life, A.R.P helped me to live a better quality of life. So, when my arm, neck and hand started killing me, I went to a regular chiropractor. After six visits one would think there would be a treatment plan in place, but a last there was not. So I went in search of a new Dr. I saw another Dr. For six visits and still I was in so much pain that it was draining. I tell you all this to tell you that in one visit Dr. Bennett was able to accomplish more relief then the other two chiropractors did in 12 visits between them. I should have known better...but we live and we learn. I was so impressed with his ability to zone in of the pain and work it out that I knew the day after my visit that I had found my new Chiropractor! I would wake up in the middle of the night in excruciating pain when I would turn in my sleep. And this pain was a 10 on the pain scale. But after my first visit the pain was at 5. Dr. Bennett is fantastic! I have had a tennis-elbow for more than two months, could not straighten my injured arm, tried some exercises I found on you-tube, went to get acupuncture (which already helped), but still was not able to use my arm. Then I finally decided to see a chiropractor for the first time in my life. A health professional friend of mine suggested ART (Active Release Technique) and I found Dr. Bennett's name on the official ART website. I cross-checked with reviews on yelp (which are excellent) and made my appointment (very easy to do). The first encounter was excellent. After about five minutes I could finally straighten my arm again after two months. Seems to be magic, but the truth is that Dr. Bennett is very knowledgeable. After two additional sessions I was fine and started to use my arm again for work-out as well as for golfing. Since this was already a great success story, my teenage daughter wanted to go as well. I've been going to Dr. Bennett for around 4 years. I've alway had a lot of neck and back problems and hence have always been a big believer in chiropractors. I went to three other chiropractors who would have me come in once a week for months to try to fix my problems, and their adjustments only seemed to last a day or two. When I first came to Dr. Bennett, he had me come in twice a week for two weeks. Just from those 4 appointments, problems that I had for years completely disappeared. Yes, I have to come back in for a major tuneup every now and then after a stressful business trip or from sleeping weird on a camping trip (or, let's be honest...bad posture at work), but I know that Dr. Bennett will fix me up in one appointment or as few as he possibly can.
