I remember when this famously California burger chain opened locations in Texas. This was back around 2011 and it was a big deal. It's still a big deal to find modestly priced high-quality burgers served super fast. This isn't your Mickey D's or those five dudes or even that burger royalty. In-N-Out is simply awesome and they now have some 40 locations across Texas. Mrs. K. and I stopped in because I saw the big neon sign tower from the highway and could not resist. After parking (because the Sprinter won't fit in their drive through), I ordered at the counter. it was busy at 6:30pm on a weekday so it did take about ten minutes before my number was called. That gave Mrs. K. enough time to drain a first cup of sweet tea and send me for a refill. I picked up my burger and brought it back to the table. A "double double" which comes with two burger patties and two slices of cheese plus the other great stuff, along with a small basket of fries. Mrs. K. isn't eating meat these days so while I enjoyed the heck out of this hot and delicious burger, she consumed about half of the fries. A couple of things to keep in mind, that I had forgotten. In-N-Out has a great secret menu. You can order our burger "animal style" which adds mustard grilled beef, extra pickles, extra grilled onions and extra sauce (it's like Thousand-Island dressing). Delicious. What I love about In-N-Out is everything is fresh. They do not have freezers. Nothing is frozen. I've never been a bread person so I do love the protein burger. I get the double double protein burger, which is 2 patties and 2 slices of American cheese, sliced tomato, pickles and their special sauce wrapped in lettuce - totally awesome. My hubby gets a double double and fries. I'm waiting for In-N-Out to come to Oklahoma City. Meanwhile, I'll make the Texas Drive. Excellent customer service reasonable prices. read more

I've never seen a burger so thin, is it possible on Saturday nights they make them skinnier so as to move the line along faster? In N Out is a must when passing through Texas. The staff is always hard at work, super friendly and fast. This place is so clean even with how busy they are. I have also been to the one in Las Vegas smack dab in the middle of plenty of other casinos and guess what? The prices abd service is the same. They don't inflate the prices even though they could if they wanted, but we appreciate that they don't take advantage of their guests. This place was clean, the workers were nice. We got here right before the lunch rush thank goodness, because these burgers do take a few minutes to receive. This a cut and dry basic type of place. No thrills or anything fancy. You can remove items from the bread, cheese, meat, onions, tomato, lettuce and speciality sauce, but can't add anything else, which I already knew. This place is the best! I honestly love the simple menu that serves such delicious flavorful burgers. Anyhow, my first visit to this location was way after it had already opened because this place always has a huge line in the drive thru, which is obviously a good sign. I came here with my mom and brother after a long day Six Flags and we decided we really wanted some In-N-Out. We came and it was prob 11:30 pm and ordered our food and the staff was just so friendly as we ordered our food, and they actually brought our food to us prob since it wasn't crazy busy like it is during the day. Their bathrooms were super clean even after a long day, the floors and tables were spotless, the drink station was also well kept. I was very impressed with everything. When our food was brought out to us it was all super fresh and pipping hot, just like I like it. Burger was cooked to perfection and fries were on point. Ok, so as a Texan I'm not supposed to like In-N-Out Burger, and I do in fact feel like a traitor to Whataburger when I say this...but I love In-N-Out burgers! (Don't 'get a rope' me!) The little burgers are so fresh, hot, seasoned and yummy and are great munchy food when you have a craving for a good burger. If you're hungry, make sure to get a double or triple as the burgers are a little small...but I really like the big flavor they have! I don't have a lot to say about the fries...I would give them a so-so rating and Whataburger definitely has the edge on them in this category as well as the menu items available. When I was planning my trip to OKC from Houston, I made sure to find an In-N-Out in the way there. This one happens to be conveniently located right off i35. Me and my family customized our orders great deal and the cashier took our order with 100% accuracy (protein style, grilled cheese, cheeseburger, double-double, animal style with chopped chilies, mustard grilled, one regular order of fries, one with animal style, one with animal style well done, and a chocolate shake, phew. This West Coast chain introduced me to the concept of the "Secret Menu," and for that, I am highly grateful. This particular location of the chain moved everyone out of their drive thru line very quickly by having an actual person manually taking orders. When the food came out, it was easy to tell that it was freshly made. I give this place an extra star because you can not find this franchise in too many places in Texas. The worst experience ever. Line wrapped around building so decided to go inside. Waited over 45 minutes for order and it apparently got "lost." Only started order when I brought it to their attention. Spoke to manager who did absolutely nothing to resolve issue. In short, told me "tough luck."
