Must try: Double Double Animal Style! Why: Consistently hits the spot every time I come home! This is always one of my first meals coming home to OC from NYC. I crave In-N-Out and this location is convenient near home and the freeway. My typical order is a Double Double Animal Style with Fries and extra Spread. Same great taste and still more affordable than many burger joints especially compared to NYC. For a family of 3 it cost us $21 (3 burgers and shared fries). Notes: We came around 11:40am before the lunch crowd. There was only one person in front of us. By noon the line was nearly to the door but they had 3-4 cashiers so the line moved fast. I was also impressed by the staff: one cashier explained the secret menu to a guest, another worker walking around cleaning tables was making sure the guests were enjoying their meals, and another worker was making friendly conversations with other guests and they were laughing it up. All the workers were friendly, attentive, and professional. The restaurant continues to look clean even with the high foot traffic. Many tables indoors and some outdoors. Bathrooms too. I'm not the biggest In-N-Out Burger Stan, and I can admit I've bashed on them in the past a bit--but this location, the night I went, it was really great! I should probably say that I arrived at about midnight, so there were only a handful of patrons inside. No need to deal with rush hour crowds. I also was coming from the Irvine train station, where the Amtrak train I was on had broken down. So, I was also very hungry. I ordered a double double with cold cheese, both raw and grilled onions, mustard-fried patties, and chopped chilis, plus a fry light-well, and got a pink lemonade and 7UP mixed soda. Everything came out exactly to a T, was super flavorful, and also really affordable at $12.07 total. The place was a bit dirty, but it was also midnight on a Sunday, so they'd probably been slammed for hours. Nothing crazy though--I still enjoyed it. The place is also really large, one of the bigger In-N-Out interiors I've seen recently, which kind of reminded me of the store in Apple Valley. Overall, really good In-N-Out location. P.S. Always amazing after my son's 7on7 .... Games at El Toro High School We stayed traditional and went with the double cheeseburger , animal fries, and root a beer float along with additional waters to keep the kiddos hydrated. Staff is proactive, the duds were clean, the patrons friendly and minding their own beezwax and a floating well rounded drive through went relatively unnoticed ! Not a big fan of the ownership but dollar for dollar and the burger is delightfully delicious for the the price so it's in the top ire and top all around three burgers in SoCal period ! read more

This location is always so busy. The staff is busy restocking and cleaning as many the customers turnover is constant. With all the customer traffic, the store is usually loud with all the chatter around the different tables. The quality of the food is consistent with all other in-n-out stores. Staff: This is a major place of praise. The team was nice but the all star was Harlie. His customer service and commitment to his job is something you very rarely see. Also and when I left, Luca was very friendly when I asked him for a couple of hats and stickers. He very happily provided this to me. I never saw a purpose in reviewing an In-N-Out, but here I am. I was organizing a staff lunch for about 25. A few weeks before, I had dined here so I asked how to best coordinate a group lunch. They told me just to come the day before. Truth be told, this made my type A personality a little nervous. I went the day before the event and I gave Katie a list of all orders that my staff wanted to place. Katie efficiently punched them into the register and even offered to have individual bags labeled with their corresponding names. The next day when I arrived, they were finishing up on the orders -- right on time, as promised. They had a few questions about some of the orders, and they kindly remade the ones that weren't correct. A nice gentleman carried these out to the car for me. My favorite non drive thru In-N-Out. Phenomenal customer service, especially the rate at which they process all of the food orders. I haven't seen anything like it in fast food service. The restaurant is spacious being able to seat 118 guests on the inside and I would guess probably 30 or so additional on the outside. The parking lot is large because it used to be shared with a large mall so even if you can't get a close spot - you can get a spot regardless of how busy they are. The double double and regular cheeseburger were cooked to order animal style with whole grilled onion and packaged separately as requested. The restaurant was clean and there was a gentleman kind enough to pass around hats to kids for them to keep which were the same ones the crew used. This In-N-Out location has been here for years. Next to King's Fish House. Expect it to be busy because it has no drive-thru. Lots of parking because the Laguna Hills mall was leveled. Great idea to put in a rope to define the ordering line for the 3 crammed registers; lines used to be out the door. The food was perfect as always. Since this is a very popular joint, food will take some time; very fun to watch everyone checking their receipt when a number is called and see surprised looks upon the realization that it's going to be a while. A few tables outside which are sometimes available but during busy times the tables/stools inside are going to be occupied; sometimes standing room only. The drink and condiment stations can be hard to navigate when it's crowded...and might need some clean up from staff. One of the ketchup dispensers was broken. (Tip: the paper cup to hold ketchup can be opened up further to add more. You're welcome.) Bathrooms could be cleaned more frequently. Thankfully, the always kind In-N-Out staff were on the move with clearing tables and will even take your tray/trash for you. read more

We come eat here at least once a month, love how there is so much seating inside and out. The burgers and fries never steer us wrong. And what really made tonight extra special was one of their brightest employee, Kay. I had the perfect view of the whole restaurant observing her walking from table to table that had kids in it and asking if they wanted an inn n out hat. She came up to our table and gave some to my kids, even opened it up ready to be placed on their little noggins. I had to photograph her because she just was adding magic throughout the room, and I wanted to remember her and you should too. I experienced a very unpleasant moment while dining at this location. Cassandra one of the employee there was very rude and disrespectful and screamed at another employee in front of several customers. I believe in team work and respecting each other as women. Totally hits my in-n-out cravings. The service here is so great. Always met with a smile and great energy. The wait can get long but that's the case for any in-n-out. The staff also do the best they can with cleaning and wiping down tables. For the first time at my latest visit I got my fur nephew a patty without salt. He LOVED it! Though the store is streamlined in a way that has more ordering counters active than I've seen, it doesn't seem to be efficient at doling out orders, and the order numbering system is done in a way that isn't all that intuitive in terms of when to expect your order. Sure I imagine the wait is just about the same for everyone, though they do seem to miss things here and there where it's noticeable enough to the customers. Again I empathize with fast food workers in a hectic environment, but given the chain's reputation for service, I was honestly a bit shocked here. It's similar to the Vegas one which I guess can account for the added traffic. Honestly if you're not in a rush, there's no reason not to go to the nearby Foothill Ranch location. Okay, so I had heard alllll the hype about In-n-out for years. After multiple failed attempts to try it in the past, I was finally able to try it while out in Cali for a recent trip. I must say.... I am a fan of the reasonably priced menu, but I think it was wayyyy overrated. I ordered the burger (animal style) and the fries (also animal style). I don't understand why they call it animal style. But aside from that the burger wasn't anything special and the fries were okay at best, even with the toppings. I also had a shake, again good but nothing special. Time for a famous number one at the In n Out Burger.in Lagunawoods It had been long enough, at least 5 weeks since my last visit. The wait was worth it. Easy front door parking, a short time in line before I placed my order with a friendly Anthony. The clean dining area is always a happy place to wait for your number, everyone enjoying their meal or anxiously waiting. Our order was ready in about 10 minutes.
