I just ... don't understand what the hype is about? In this age of social media, I feel like people feel they have to say something is good because it's trendy. This was in a small Utah town, but it was still absolutely mobbed with people. Everyone who works there seemed very polite and friendly. When it came to the food, I was disappointed. The bun was like biting into styrofoam, the burger was kind of tasteless, and the fries were just sad, pale sticks of potato.

Double Double + 4 X 4 + French Fries (Well Done!) = The Order

Did you know In-N-Out still slings the best fast food burgers? Of course, you did! You're not an alien from another planet. Truthfully, even aliens would find it hard to pass up a Double Double or 4X4 w/ extra grilled onions and Fries (well-done... it's the way... just trust) up! Photos for evidence below. Going Back? You bet! Anytime, I zip through Utah!

Perfectly done Double Double cheeseburger! The tomatoes, lettuce and onions taste very fresh. The fries are amazing, and I am saying this because in Las Vegas we can't get this quality fries from In-n-Out anymore! St George, Utah can do it better than Las Vegas for sure! Cashier was great, she took the order in less than 10 seconds. She didn't struggle with my accent! OMG! That's new too! Thanks In-n-Out!

Double double animal style and Cheeseburger

First time going to an in n out! The ambience is similar to a 60s diner aesthetic and it was pretty busy! The animal style burger is incredibly delicious with very mustard infused into the beef patty. The fries are disappointing and pretty dry but the animal style saves it because of its cheese. Cheeseburgers were good and as expected. The vanilla shake was really thick so lots of people eat it with a fork. Highly recommend getting the double double animal style with animal style fries.

Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Price: $ $6-11 I was driving back to Las Vegas from Salt Lake City. It was 11PM and this place was packed with people! I have to say that I'm surprised this location open until 1AM in the morning. But I'm glad they did because we were starving after a long drive. I ordered my usual order, which includes animal fries style, double double protein style, strawberry shake, and double double. I did found that the shakes happened to be thicker than usual, which made it hard for me to drink it with the straw they gave me. However, I would say In-n-out is pretty consistent with their service, the quality and the flavors of the food.

First time trying and WOW! What an experience!! The cashier, Hunter, was absolutely fabulous. Super kind and helpful. Top notch employee. The restaurant has plenty of seating. We chose to sit outside, which was lovely. The burgers were DELISH. We got #1's and made one "animal style". Holy cow. Insanely good.

It's usually really good but sometimes they add way too much salt to the burgers and the fries for this location.

Our only complaint, and the reason I didn't give 5 stars was the service was SO SLOW. We waited about 20 minutes to get seated, totally understandable, but once we were seated it was about 15 minutes before we saw our waitress, then another 20 minutes before they brought our drinks(we ordered food the same time we ordered drinks). Once food came we saw her one time in the middle and then didn't see her again for another 30 minutes. We ordered desserts, waited about 15 minutes for those and didn't get one of our desserts delivered. So it was a rough service experience. The food was really good and the outside patio was great seating! We will come back but hopefully have better service!

My husband thinks the steak (locally raised) is one of the best steaks he's ever had. He also enjoyed their burgers. The tamarind glazed salmon and risotto dish, salads and mashed potatoes were my favorite, but truly, everything brought to the table was high-quality and delicious. Including the dessert (key lime pie and crème brûlée). Our server, Whitney, was wonderful. She is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu and potential adjustments (made recommendations that accommodated my gluten-free diet). She was a real joy and made the dining experience all the more special. We will definitely be back!

When we arrived we waited for the host and informed him we had a 10:15 reservation. Despite there being multiple empty tables, he informed us we would not be able to be seated until closer to our reservation which threw me off. We were seated around our reservation time and given some time to look at the menu. Our server was very helpful and kept checking in on us to see if we had any questions or if we were ready to order. She did take the time to inform us that we should order before a big party as our meal would take longer if we waited. We ordered buttermilk biscuits to share and I ordered the arrival of the sun (two eggs your way, bacon or sausage, potatoes, and country bread). The buttermilk biscuits were brought to us first and were 2 large fluffy biscuits served with butter and jam. The butter was good quality and jam was made in house, but was slightly runny, but overall a delicious combo. The arrival of the sun arrived shortly after and was a large portion. The potatoes were my personal favorite, seasoned and crispy! Wood ash rye is in a hotel in downtown St. George. The hotel itself has valet parking that is $22. However, if you arrive early enough you are able to find parking on the street, just make sure you look out for any parking signs. The inside of wood ash rye is small, but they offer an outside bar, several large tables in the center, and booths off to the side. In addition, they have a bar just outside the restaurant. They did have a sign posted that dogs are welcome on the patio which is a plus! -1 star for service for reservation time and empty tables

There are places you go... and then there are places that feel like you've finally come home…read more The Painted Pony is the latter. We adore slipping away for lunch and settling onto the patio, where the world softens--shade drapes gently overhead, birds sing as if they've been hired just for the occasion, and time... well, time slows down enough to breathe. The service is nothing short of immaculate--attentive in that quiet, effortless way that makes you feel seen without ever being interrupted. And the food... oh, the food. The bacon-wrapped dates must have been crafted in heaven... or perhaps meant for the gods and somehow gifted to us. The tuna melt was so transcendent I found myself wondering if I had ever truly tasted tuna before... or if I had just been living a lesser version of the experience all along. And the beef bourguignon... my heavens. It was as if your grandmother--if she were also a five-star chef--had been waiting for you, simmering something rich and soulful to welcome you back after a long journey. Even the tea felt royal... and the mocktails were so delightful, so thoughtfully made, that not once did we miss the alcohol. The Painted Pony isn't just a meal... it's a return.

Tucked into the Tower Building, this New American restaurant nails the Southwestern-meets-fine-dining vibe: intimate indoor seating with contemporary regional art, fresh flowers, and soft lighting, plus a charming patio for when the weather cooperates. It feels romantic and relaxed without being stuffy--perfect for date night or a special occasion while visiting southern Utah.c91b9be2267e Service was attentive and friendly without hovering. Our server knew the menu well and made solid wine recommendations (they've got a nice list, and no-corkage Mondays are a nice touch if you BYO from a Utah store). Portions are generous for the price point--definitely not the tiny-plate nonsense you sometimes get at fine-dining spots. We started with the carrot jalapeño soup (bright, flavorful, and a nice kick) and the baked brie, which was rich and perfectly paired with the seasonal chutney and crostini. For mains, the bone-in pork chop and the hanger steak were highlights--well-cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor from the fresh ingredients and thoughtful sauces. The sides (mac & cheese and haricot verts) were solid too. We finished with the key lime pie, which was a bright, creamy winner. One note, though: pass on the crab cakes. They're a menu staple (around $16, served with something like pomegranate salsa or poblano aioli depending on the season), but ours were mostly filler with a noticeably fishy taste. Not worth the spot on the table when there are so many stronger starters and entrées.781e4d Overall, we'd happily return to The Painted Pony. It's one of the better fine-dining options in St. George--great atmosphere, strong service, and mostly excellent food at reasonable prices for what you get. Just skip the crab cakes and you'll have a winner of a meal. 4/5 stars. Recommended for visitors and locals alike. Reservations advised, especially on weekends.

The restaurant sits in a beautiful location overlooking the area, making it easy to see why it's one of the most popular dining destinations in St. George. Reservations are highly recommended. The standout dish for our group was the Chilean sea bass. All four of us agreed it was exceptional--perfectly cooked, flaky, buttery, and incredibly juicy. It was served over a mushroom risotto that was packed with flavor and complemented the fish beautifully. The chicken fried chicken was another surprise favorite. It was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and not greasy at all, which can be hard to find with fried chicken. My friend ordered the filet with shrimp as a surf-and-turf option and couldn't stop talking about how incredible it was. Save room for dessert! The carrot cake was one of the best I've ever had.
