Adam and Leon were great assisting us with our move. They were able to make it out earlier than planned and were extremely thorough. They were able to help us drop old furniture at Goodwill and were able to get the whole move done in 4 hours. In or Out Movers easily beat every other company in price by $100-200. I hired In or Out Movers to transfer my furniture and approximately 20 medium sized boxes from my one bedroom apartment to a condo less than one mile away. All of my furniture was bare, the boxes were packed and labelled, and everything was stacked neatly in the living room. I even had the boxes in order by room. My move was scheduled for noon on November 29th. They arrived around 12:30 and the horror began. First of all, they didn't bring tools with them, though I had explicitly informed Terry that I had several pieces of furniture that needed to be dismantled before they could be moved and he assured me that they would have a drill and any other tools needed. I even confirmed two days before the move that they would have the appropriate tools for the job and still they arrived unprepared. Luckily, I had my own set and I was able to dismantle my own furniture while Terry and his counterpart did who-knows-what elsewhere. Every direction I gave was questioned, questioned again, and then ignored. I was asked repeatedly to move my own items (i.e. "don't you have a backseat that you can put this in?" regarding my television and lamps), and treated to a condescending attitude about some of my less expensive furniture (i.e.: "Do you really want that moved?" in regard to a storage cabinet from my bathroom). To top it all off they damaged several pieces of my furniture, including completely dropping the drawers out of one of my nightstands on to the asphalt. I watched as they hurriedly shoved the drawers back in and then argued about it. In the middle of their arguing and breaking things, they did manage to move my stuff. Though I did all the breakdown and reassembly, it still took them nearly three hours to move my furniture and handful of boxes! They each disappeared for up to 20 minutes at a time and several times returned empty handed from trips to the truck. Instead of stacking several boxes on the dolly and moving them all at once, they moved one at a time. Considering that I packed and stacked each box myself, and I am a 5' tall female, they could not possibly have been so heavy or cumbersome as to require individual trips on a heavy duty dolly. The truck was poorly loaded and disorganized, and several random things (like a 2-step ladder) went missing. Just believe me that it was the worst moving experience I have ever endured. Find another company, or hell, find some college students and pay them in beer. They couldn't do any worse. read more

I reached out for a quote and Terry reached out in a timely manner. He walked me through the charges and the process and made sure I knew what to expect. We settled for a date and time but as we approached the scheduled date I had came across a delayed move in for our apartment. I reached out to terry and he kindly helped with a new date. They told me that they would not "waste" more than two people on our apt. I would never speak to a potential client like that, especially one willing to pay for the service. If he would've done a survey to asses the furniture he would understand why two people was not going to cut it, if a customer asks for something you should be able to provide the service regardless of what your opinion is. Hopefully he works on his customer service skills. Price was 75 hour + 90 for van, two hour minimum. OMG!!!! This was my first time using movers and I was skeptical because I thought they would take their time and boy was I wrong. Terry was the best and very helpful, my two movers did not waste no time loading the truck and unloading at the new place. I found Terry from In Or Out Movers on the internet, since I live in Los Angeles, and was helping my daughter move in the Scottsdale area. Terry sounded completely professional and made me quite comfortable in a matter of a few minutes. The outcome was incredible. I had one of the greatest crews of three men, all of whom were professional, and incredibly hard workers with a great attitude. This was a large home that took two trips. and they never ever slowed down until it was completed. They even had their lunch in the truck while driving to the second load. I have only good things to say about these guys. I called them the day before I needed movers and they were the most affordable out of any competitor. I needed my furniture moved from a storage unit into a townhome near by. They showed up on time, gave me a 10-15 minute heads up for me to get to the storage unit, and they were fast!!! Holy cow. I would highly recommend terry and his crew! They did an outstanding job and were very meticulous in how they placed the items on the truck. My move was not easy. It required moving furniture from two homes and then moving some furniture into storage. Worst ever. They new ahead of time the size of my home and they came with a rental truck that was too small. Had to make 2 trips and charged me for the extra time. My only request was that they wrap my bed so it would not get damaged as it was new and expensive. When it arrived it was not protected at all and had been banging up against the rivets on the inside of the truck wall!! I complained and the lead man told the guys to be more careful....great... it was already damaged! Since that time, as I looked over my other belongings and there was additional damage as well! It's a tough business, but in and apples to apples comparison to other companies I have used in the past, this company was by far the worst. read more

Let me first start off by saying, any correspondence I have ever had with Terry has been very polite, and he is always very helpful. I am not quite sure why the people below me were saying that he wouldn't schedule small moves for them. All I needed was to have my Uhaul loaded because I was moving out of state, which is probably the smallest move there is, and he scheduled me right away and even gave me advice on adding moving pads to my Uhaul order because he thought it would help. He even called me back after we had hung up to give me that advice. I found this to be great customer service, and I did take his advice! Although I was only moving a few miles, I had a lot to move, buy.Leonard and Adam made the move easier. They showed up right on time, and went right to work. These guys were very reasonably priced, and were spot on all the way. I called them asking to have them help move a fridge, washer and dryer. When they arrived (on time), I had them also move a table, a dressers, two beds (only one of which had a protective cover), a full sectional with ottoman, and about 3 dozen boxes. They took care of it all without a break in their smile, helped disconnect and set everything up, and even successfully navigated the large fridge through a narrow entryway. Their demeanor was pleasant, and I can't recommend them enough. When I need to have something moved again in the future, or if I have family that does, they will be my first call. read more

My husband called to schedule a move weeks before our moving date. We were quoted a price and hired the company. Once this was completed we never received a conformation email, message, or phone call that they were going to show up. We called the day before move in to ask for a confirmation on both price and arrival and this guy Terry that most people on here are so fond of was insulted, rather then understanding in the matter and BAILED on our move. Now I'm forced to scatter and move things around that I've had planned for weeks. This company needs to get in with the times and do business accordingly. To be insulted by a simple email request business to consumer is absolutely ridiculous. Grow up. This obviously is the type of owner who is content where he is as a business owner and has to strive to make every customer happy. Writing a five star review for movers seems weird - people are always complaining about bad attitude, time wasting, breaking stuff, extortion, etc. When the top yelp reviewed businesses had no openings to move us on our chosen day, and In or Out readily agreed, I was a bit skeptical. But their rates were awesome, the three guys who showed up were polite and cheerful and importantly, efficient and did a fantastic job. We moved a three bedroom house in three hours (just furniture and some appliances and miscellaneous garage and patio stuff, no boxes). We did go five minutes over and we were wondering if we'd be charged for an extra hour, but they nicely rounded down. It was a short move within the a few miles, so we weren't wanting any packing or special handling. They did come prepared with furniture and appliance dollies, padded covering and blankets and tapes to tie up loose doors, drawers and cables. read more
