They were professional, personable, and competent. The communication with the office beforehand and with the plumbers during the work was excellent. The estimate was detailed and easy to understand. No surprises during or after the repair. They did an excellent job preventing damage of the lawn during the excavation and repaired it afterwards better than I could have hoped. I would recommend Modern Plumbing to anyone, and they've certainly earned my business for any future needs.

I've used Robert Mack of A and D Plumbing before this incident, which I will post. He responded in…read morea timely way. And was nice face to face and back then did his work ok. However while installing a new faucet, he broke a piece of tile around the sink. I let it go as I knew him personally. Now I've moved into a new place and asked him to give me an estimate on our Bosch Instant hot water heater.... he described what he could do...and quoted an astronucal price along with what he had to do. He was wrong, as after I spoke with the company directly, I was told NO. I would need a much bigger tank. It would have paid for something that would not work. We ended up removing the system as it was too small and was not enough to handle our size house. We installed a regular hot water heater by someone else and things are perfect now. He also gave me an estimate on fixing a leak, which was not fixed and still has a slight leak, as before. Much more but too much to go into. He overcharged me for parts and time and I addressed this with him and he became VERY nasty. I spoke with his office assistance and she said he'd fix the overcharge but not deal with the overcharge on the time his workers were there. Bottom line now, because of his mistakes and not sending me corrected bills till now, Robert Mack is trying to slander my good name thru his text messages to me and say things about others working in my house that same day. He lies and belittles others. It's a sad situation. I would never consider referring him to anyone. He overcharged by sending his journeyman and an apprentice and having me pay for 2 people, when the job took only one. Threats by a so called professional don't do well when you are doing business. Think twice about using Rober Mack and A and D Plumbing. His work is ok but not the others he employs.

Mr rooter came out and snaked my sewer line for almost 600 bucks and the floor drain backed up…read moreagain within 10 days. they refused to stand by thier " nieghborly done right " policy which states on thier website that drains are gauranteed for 30 days. they make you sign off on everything before any work is done so that you basically have no recourse. mr rooter is a total scam. call roto rooter instead. they get the job done right the first time for 200 bucks less. the photos are of what roto rooter pulled out less than 2 weeks after Mr. rooter screwed me. they send out 2 guys for a 1 man job. stay as far away as possible from Mr. rooter and pass it on to everyone you know who is looking for a plumber.

Had company come over to my business due to a plugged sewer line that I thought might be frozen…read more Before any service they had me sign a contract to pay almost $600. The guy ran a snake down the line and could not get it through the blockage. He then charged me the fee with no results. He spent less than 20 minutes setting up, snaking and storing his equipment. He then said for an additional $900 he could run a jet through it. And an additional $125 to scope the line. Wanted me to sign another contract! I said no. Looked around and found a competitor who came over. Scoped the line to see the blockage, hit it with a minute of hot water, and it was cleared. He also scoped the rest of the line to make sure it was cleared. Mr. Rooter got almost $600 out of me and gave me ZERO value, then wanted another $1,000 to jet and scope the line ($1,500+ Total). Competitor did the whole job for less than $400. I'll never do business with Mr. Rooter again.
