First time visiting Inca chicken. This is the location in Essex. The first thing that I noticed was how clean the place was. Then I was greeted by the person who took my order and made my food... he was very friendly. I've been to several Peruvian places and I enjoy their rotisserie chicken. The chicken was season well and the string beans had just enough taste that they weren't too bland. I was very shocked by the rice which was a bit over cooked and had zero flavor. This time it worked in my behalf because I'm not supposed to be eating carbs anyway! Lol I will give this place another try and try something different on the menu.

Great rotisserie chicken. Juicy, tender for a good price. It is your typical inner-city neighborhood restaurant. You come here because the food is good, and affordable. Not for the atmosphere or ambiance. Service is simple you order on one side and pay at the other side. Get a table and enjoy some pretty good chicken.

#2. Half Chicken and 2 Sides Green Beans Yuca

I decided to try this place after hearing about it and driving past it for months. I placed my order online and went to pick it up. When I arrived there was an issue with my order not being in the system, but the manager handled it and my order was put together very fast. As I headed home I could smell the spices through the bag. Everything was delicious! The chicken and green beans were seasoned perfectly and this was my first time having yuca and I really liked it with the sauces. I definitely gotta go back to try other things on the menu.

Solid food. My go to is a half chicken with Yucca and plantains. Behind the counter you can see the massive rotisserie cooking away. It's always a cool sight. The people here are friendly and the portions are good. It's a value meal for the money.

I've always loved good rotisserie chicken and this Peruvian place is one of the ones I keep coming back to. They don't try to do a million different sides, so the ones they have are all excellent and fresh. I love the plantains, the string beans are phenomenal and their black beans and rice are a great staple. Black beans and rice are two separate sides, but if you ask they will put a little black bean on top of your rice. The chicken is seasoned really well moist and delicious. I never leave here hungry and I'm always happy with the food.

Second day in a row here at this joint for lunch. I love the way the chicken is seasoned and is cooked over crackling charcoal. The sides to choose from are flavorful and very filling for the portion size they give you is large. The guy working could tell it was my first time there and he added a few extra sides with sauces for me to try. The potato wedges were incredible. Also, the place is very clean. A big thing I take into account when eating at places.

I was in the area for work, so I got on yelp to see what was near me for lunch. I'm glad I gave them a chance. The chicken was great! The green beans and rice were good. I don't have any complaints. I live closer to a Lima's Chicken and this place gets 10 stars compared to them. If I was in the area and wanted Peruvian food, I would definitely come back.

Inca Chicken Catered for a large group event!!! People loved it very much! Great choice!!!

You have to be buzzed in and the dining room is literally the size of my living room. Very intimate. The food was superb. Stellar. Outstanding. Truly, each course was delicious, with layers of flavor and unexpected combinations. The ceviche in an intensely limey coconut broth started off the meal and I thought that if everything else sucked I would still be happy. But the dishes kept getting better. I did not anticipate enjoying veal heart skewers, but they were smoky and very reminiscent of good carne asada. The purple corn tamale was a very interesting mix of heavier corn with light ahi tuna. And even the little bowl of plantain chips they bring out first was excellent. This is a set menu, 5 courses on the weekdays and 6 on the weekends, and is a bring your own alcohol set up. As a result, there is almost no interaction with the waitress, and the food just arrives, but it is timed very well, with reasonable periods between courses.

I did not feel rushed until the desert course was served with the check. The variety of the dishes was fun to experience; each course was very different. Puerto 511 does really well with seafood. My favorites courses were the Ceviche Amazonico and the Tamalito Verde. The flavors were incredible. The Pulpo en su Causa was also a very interesting dish. The combination of ingredients and the inclusion of a cold mashed potato component were both innovative. I was disappointed with the other courses, though. The veal was tough, the lamp chop was tough, and the desert was not very flavorful. The quinoa flan and the passionfruit ice cream did not match very well in flavor or texture. The restaurant building itself was ok. The ambiance did not indicate fine dining to me. The service was not very personable. I would like to come back sometime in a different season, when there is a new menu. But overall, I would say Puerto 511 is definitely a dining experience worth trying.

We ordered a salad, lomo empanada, and 1/2 chicken meal with brussels sprouts & carrots and black beans. To drink we got a chica morada. The lomo empanada had a great flavor and texture which was great to split as an opener. The 1/2 chicken was flavorful with both the light and the dark meat worth trying. The chicken was halved right in from of us with a large cleaver and the freshness was notable. The brussel sprouts were plentiful, crispy if a pinch oily, and with a slight sweetness that went well with the chicken. The beans were fine; likely the only thing we would not get again. Both the mild (white) and medium (green) sauces went very well with both the empanadas and the chicken. The chicha morada tasted of corn, cloves and cinnamon and was a nice sweet treat. Overall, a wonderfully quick spot with great flavor in the inner harbor.

The chicken was super flavorful, moist, and fell right off the bone. It was sooo good! The brussels had a surprising kick to them and were nice and tender. The yucca fries took an extra few minutes to come out since they were frying them up fresh for us and it was worth the wait! It was also very acid forward and lacked layers/balance to the flavor. Lastly, we tried two desserts: the flan (I believe it was called quesillo) and the chocolate one. I LOVED the flan with the foam on top, and the chocolate one was towards the bitter side (which was pretty good) but I wouldn't get it again. The desserts were very overpriced for the size of it.
