The best food ever. Did DoorDash and the food quality was not compromised. Will come again weekly

I have tried Indian cuisine maybe a couple of times in my life, but my husband is a huge fan. So of course when we decided we wanted to eat Indian food, I let my husband choose the restaurant. Man, this place is good! We came to their lunch buffet this afternoon. For the both of us, the total came out under $40 total. What a great deal, especially for the quality of their food. I enjoyed all the dishes I got to try. Their curry, chicken masala, and naan were my favorites. Their food tasted so fresh, tender, and flavorful. But of course, I had to ask my hubbie what he thought. He said it was legit good. We both agreed we would return. Sooner than later. The place is clean. All the food was warm and always filled. Overall, a very quick, convenient, and affordable yet very tasty treat for lunch (they offer buffet during lunch time only).

Visited this place for the lunch buffet and at 18$ per person, it's definitely worth it! The staff does an excellent job keeping the place clean and the decor is lovely. They have a wide selection of dishes and a memorable dessert menu. I loved the samosa and vegetable fritters. The chicken tikka masala, navratan korma, and palak paneer were a standout and I could not get enough of the mango pudding! Great experience overall!

I brought my friend here for her first Indian lunch buffet experience. She absolutely loved it! She is planning to bring her family here, most definitely. We were one of the first groups on this lunch outing. It never got too busy like most of the many times previously. They had all the entrees I've seen before. One thing I noticed was that many of the foods were not piping hot. Maybe the warmers were just getting started. My friend enjoyed many of the creamy vegetables. The servers continued to provide attentive and quick service with removing our plates and refilling our water. They offer fresh naan bread right out of the oven. It doesn't get any better than this. Until next time, India Kitchen! Thank you!

I have been to this restaurant before but never for the lunch buffet. For $18 it is so amazing. It is great Indian food, and the variety that you get to eat at a buffet as opposed to ordering a single curry is so much more fun! Quality not sacrificed. They had goat curry, butter chicken, chicken curry, palak paneer, lots of vegetarian options, lentil soup, samosas, chicken tandoori, and so much more. The complementary garlic naan was the best because it's always at least $5 add on anywhere else. We were obsessed with the Mango Pudding as well. It had a variety of fruits inside - mango, grape, pear etc. A fruity surprise. The servers are quick to clear finished plates and are pleasant. The inside of this restaurant feels like you are underground in a cozy way. There seems to be several different dining areas here, each with very different atmospheres. My coworkers and I have tried so many Indian restaurants in Tustin/Irvine and we will most likely only be coming back here for lunch!

Solid Indian food buffet spot in Tustin and always super consistent. The staff is especially attentive to make sure that you always have naan and water on the table and the food is yummy! This place is located in a shopping plaza with a lot of parking so I never have any issues there. Definitely a great spot to go to during your lunch break.

Can't check out an Indian place without trying their lunch buffet! It was very good and flavorful. And surprisingly it didn't feel as heavy as other Indian restaurants that are cooked with a bunch of butter and cream. There's plenty of variety here, including vegetarian dishes. I made my own pani puri too, yum!

We come here at least once a month. Great selection of Indian food, although they should vary it every week to keep it more interesting. My favorite was the lamb stew. Topped the mango custard dessert with a gulab jamun ball for a sweet finish! The service was great. The staff took our plates as soon as we stood up for seconds. Clean white linen tablecloths and fresh cloth napkins are a mainstay. Better than paper napkins!

Monday, July 21, 2025 This place is a gem of a restaurant, hidden in Tustin, CA. I have eaten Indian food all over the world, including Bangalore, India, NYC & Tokyo, and I can say that the food here is delicious and covers all the traditional bases of Indian cuisine, served buffet style, ALL UNDER $20.00! The servings of complementary Naan is also plentiful and tasty. The Gulab Jamun is also sweet, syrupy and decadent. If you're driving from North Irvine, it's only about 8 minutes or less from the Costco near Tustin Ranch Road... my point being is that this is a better alternative to those Indian restaurants in Irvine, which tend to be small and crowded. My only suggestion to management is to add more heating canisters under the entrees in the serving bay to keep the food warmer.

I have been ordering from India Kitchen for many years now, for home and work, as they have consistent excellent quality. Favorites: Chana Paneer Korma: The paneer is so fresh Butter Chicken: Good portion of chicken Aloo Gobi: The only way I like to eat vegetables Vegetable Samosa: Big and delicious Vegetable Pakora: Veggie fritters I'd eat every day if I could Chicken Tikka Masala: Also a good portion of chicken Garlic Naan: Real garlic! And their chutneys are delicious and the perfect consistency. Takeout or ordering delivery is just as good as dining in - they still give you plenty of food and the quality isn't compromised at all. I always get great service, whether I order ahead of time or at the restaurant. It is a big and vibrant restaurant, yet they always serve quickly. I've tried plenty of good Indian restaurants, but this one is hard to beat! This one is a staple for me.

I have been a regular here for more than 1 year. I always get the lunch buffet. And I come here at least twice a month. Food is always fresh, flavorful, warm if not hot. Environment is always nice and clean. Staffs are always attentive and welcoming. Lunch buffet price is stress free, I don't have to debate with myself over the price to decide if I should come when I want to come. Sometime I come here two days in the roll. My fav is their goat curry. The nanh, And the mango dessert. This is THE to-go spot whenever I crave Indian food. Highly recommend!

    Is meat hand slaughtered?

I do not have an answer to your question and neither does the seemingly illiterate gentleman who somehow thought the question was "Do you slaughter animals in the back of your shop" instead of whether it is slaughtered by hand or not.

Thank you for inquiry. Below 6 is half price

Do you have banquet space for a party?

Do the dishes, specifically curries, come with rice or does it need to be ordered in addition to the curries and main dishes? This is a question for online delivery orders. I'm reading mixed things that some people are saying it's not included.

Any curry orders will come with complementary white rice but not with dry item. Thank you

Is the buffet available??? I really really miss it

We already started( reopened)lunch buffet in India kitchen. Enjoy with all you can eat buffet.

Would you consider making your menu more clear on which dishes contain dairy? Me and my partner would like to order from here, but we are lactose intolerant and it is too difficult to determine which meat dishes have dairy and which do not have it.

Many Indian dishes use curd or yogurt so stay away from creamy type dishes. Roasted meats with no sauces are safe. Of course naan breads and other breads. Daal, Vindaloo, Sag Aloo, Chana Masala, Egg Burji, or Chicken Jalfrezi. Ask for PURE VEG… Read more

Do the currys come with rice and nann or do you need to order them separately?

The chicken tikka masala was not anything spectacular as I have had better elsewhere. But it definitely hit the spot. The samosa and the paneer were stars as each bite produced additional flavors which continued to build on each other. I could just eat these two dishes forever. We tried the dosa and the goat. The dosa was perfectly crispy when it was hot. I personally didn't enjoy eating it as leftovers the next day. But I couldn't stop eating it and dipping it in all the curries and sauces when it was piping hot. The goat surprised me as I'm not a huge fan of lamb or goat. But the flavor profile and the spices made this a dish that was more flavorful than our usual go to tikka masala. Will definitely come here again and again.

The pricing is very reasonable--$18.99 on weekdays and $21.99 on weekends. The spread was decent with a nice variety. The appetizers were a highlight; both the samosas and kachoris were crisp and flavorful. I loved that they bring fresh garlic naan directly to your table instead of letting it sit out under a heat lamp. For drinks, the hot tea and mango lassi were both spot on. My only minor critique was the biryani, which tasted a little on the salty side. However, they made up for it with a solid dessert station featuring 2 to 4 options, including gulab jamun, custard, and bread pudding. Bonus points for plenty of free parking in the lot. Definitely a solid option if you're craving a buffet!

They can't even spare a container for the Murtabak, it came wrapped in foil LOL. Like not even inside a container, it was just swished around the bag wrapped in foil. On top of it, it was soggy as F. Typically, restaurants will poke holes in the container to let it "breathe" in order to keep roti crisp even if you line it with foil and if they don't know about this, idk why they're even a restaurant. The lack of knowledge on this makes it questionable. Moving onto the Roti with curry, curry was meh. Usually you get hit with an aroma of inviting spices but this one just taste like what I find in frozen aisles or prepackaged cube curry. Nothing stands out. What a let down.. on top of that, roti seems like it was frozen, not fresh and soggy. It tasted like a scallion pancake without flavor, non of that puff pastry crusty, buttery and flakey texture you'd get from real authentic places. Food quality is definitely lacking here. In addition, the portion is so small, so laughable. (Refer to pic) The chicken satay came wrapped in a white paper bag which should have been foil so that it doesn't create moisture and then dry out the chicken. Idk what's with their packaging but again, you can't even spare a container? Instead you just opt to use a ton of plastic to wrap everything. It took such a long time to unwrap everything because they wrap every single sauce container, plastic container, paper container in Saran Wrap. A bit unenvironmental. The peanut sauce that came with the satay wasn't at all delicious nor authentic. Usually I'd want a refill of that sauce, but I end up just skipping it in the end because it wasn't even all that great. Lastly the laksa was decent but nothing to write home about. I've also never really had a laksa without prawns before, this version came with weird types of tofu (one that had a purple filling which had no taste) and fried tofu wedges (which is fine). There were two fish balls. Honestly this laksa tastes just decent, definitely not a signature item in any realm. I've had better laksa in Irvine from a place not specializing in laksa. I guess as long as you don't expect it to be like Ipoh Kopitiam quality then it's OK.

Last night, I stopped by to grab takeout for my girlfriend and myself. I ordered an Aloo Gobi bowl for her, and for myself, I ordered the chili chicken. Anyone who frequents Orange Curry knows that their chili chicken on Fridays and Saturdays is usually one of the most popular items on the menu. When I arrived, I was told they had run out and needed to make another batch, which would take about 15 minutes. No problem at all--I waited patiently in my car, picked up my order, and headed home. The food tasted fine, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary while I was eating. However, less than an hour later, I started feeling extremely sick. The nausea hit first, followed by sweating, stomach pain, and repeated trips to the bathroom. I couldn't keep anything down for the rest of the night. I became so pale that my girlfriend was genuinely concerned, and I spent hours trying to recover. I didn't start feeling remotely normal again until around 4:30 or 5:00 the next morning. To be clear, I can't say with certainty what caused it, but I can say that this was my experience after eating the meal I purchased that evening. Given how severe the symptoms were and how quickly they came on, I felt it was important to share what happened. It genuinely pains me to leave a one-star review because this has been one of my go-to spots for years. I've had many positive experiences here, which makes this situation even more surprising. My hope is that management takes this feedback seriously and looks into whether there may have been an issue with that particular batch of food. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I would feel guilty staying silent after an experience like this. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what I went through that night.
