    Buffets food

The lunch buffet here is pretty good, especially for the price. There aren't tons of dishes to pick from, but what they do have tastes really authentic and flavorful. I like the butter chicken and the naan was fresh. The place is pretty basic and self serve. If you want a solid Indian food without spending a lot, this spot is worth checking out.

First time here, the place was super busy for weekday lunch! We did the buffet but saw you can also do takeout. They had carrot halwa, paneer, tikka masala, vegetable pakora, naan, and some sauces on the side. The tikka masala sauce was pretty good, and I also liked the sauces they had on the side. The naan was pretty good too! They had free hot chai and water bottles for you to grab on the side as well. Everything is self service, and you pay when you leave. Things inside were clean! Pretty good place for good Indian food at a great price, especially for a quick lunch break!

Small selection but mighty flavors in this lunch buffet. It was perfect for me because my faves were there in the line up. Chicken 65, paneer tikka masala, dal, butter chicken... I was going for a carbless lunch so I didn't get any naan or biriyani (I'll have to come back when I'm carb loading.) One plate was so filling for me. I like how they have water bottles available. Small shop but I was able to social distance and find a quiet corner to enjoy my meal.. I'll definitely be back in the area and stop by to grab a quick lunch here. You can grab a plate and then pay on your way out. Staff super friendly and nice.

Very good Indian food. This place has pretty good buffet and their take out is very reasonable as well. Their butter chicken, Sambar and samosas are really good.

Wow! Absolutely blown away by the food here. It doesn't look like much when you pull up to the strip mall location, but there is so much more inside. They have a lunch buffet and I have attached a picture of their menu for that. But I came for takeout on a Sunday night. Quick and friendly service. Also it only took like 5 minutes for my order to be ready after I ordered at the counter. Food was fresh and hot. Tandoori chicken was moist and spicy, and the Chana Masala was spicy and delicious. My only wish would be for more rice. Very little amount of rice for the amount of entrees ordered. Can't wait to come back and try out other items. Also can't wait to come back and try their lunch buffet.

one of 4 sides given with dinner entree (not sure of the proper name), yum yum!!

yum!! Don't judge this book by it's cover. Decided to try something new as our other "go-to" Indian place dropped the ball with quality (felt like recession induced stretching sauces by watering down - no one likes a water down tikka masala) This place NAILED IT, seriously delicious! Great amount of food for the price. I got 2 dinner entrees, for 2 people, and will easily have leftovers for lunch. A+ @ curry point, keep it up!

I'll start by saying this, I'm not casually into Indian food. I'm an Indian food aficionado. My…read morebusiness partner is Indian, and we are constantly trying new Indian restaurants. If you really know Indian food, you know there are levels to this. Most places serve what I lovingly call Campbell's Soup Tikka Masala. Super sweet, neon red, one note, wrong color, wrong consistency. Basically tomato soup with sugar and turmeric pretending to be a masala. It fills you up, but it doesn't make you pause and savor anything. Spice Grove Indian Cuisine is not that place. This is the real deal. The flavors are layered, balanced, and clearly cooked with intention. Not overly sweet, not dumbed down, just full of garlic, spice, depth, and that unmistakable "this was done right" feeling you get when Indian food is executed properly. We ordered a spread, saag, tikka masala, butter chicken, korma, vindaloo, garlic naan, and honestly there wasn't a weak dish on the table. Everything had the right color, the right texture, and the right punch of flavor. This is food you slow down for. I won't say this is the single best Indian food I've ever had, I reserve that for a few heavy hitters like Dishoom and Brigadiers in London and Chola in New York City. But if those are 10s, this is a very solid 8.5, and that is high praise. They're busy for a reason. You cannot go wrong here. If you love Indian food, or want to understand why people love Indian food, just go. You'll leave happy and probably already planning your next visit.

We got seated but no one was there to seat us but we were able to seat ourself. The food was so delicious and filled with flavors. The butter chicken with the garlic naan was so good and had a little kick to it. We also got their chicken biriyani which was good and spicy, you can see the masala within the rice. On the side we got their pani puri which was good and perfect for sharing and as an appetizer. The last dish we got was their szheuan noodles with chicken and it was spicy if you can handle the level of spice but filled with so much flavors or Indian and Chinese flavors. Definitely will be back to try more thing son the menu:

The curry was creamy and flavorful without being too heavy, which is perfect when you still have the rest of the workday ahead of you. And the naan? It's definitely more satisfying than the typical quick-grab options around the area. And the dining area is clean, casual, and comfortable enough to actually enjoy your break instead of rushing through a meal. Plano has a lot of Desi food options, but for a weekday lunch that delivers real taste and isn't rushed or sloppy, O'Desi Aroma stands out.

The chicken seemed to be dark meat, but it was high quality. The sauce was flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Basmati rice was perfectly cooked. The naan was thinner than most and just a bit crispy, but good. My mango lassi was enjoyable as well. Also of note - portions were generous. Counter service was professional and knowledgeable when I ordered, and they checked in during my meal to make sure everything was good. The atmosphere was pleasant - modern and clean. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a modern, casual Indian restaurant.

We celebrated our friends' engagement and they were so sweet when we provided our names. They went out of their way to encourage our friends to get photos and they took multiple pictures of the newly engaged couple. Upon being seated, they immediately sprung into action. It was timed well and love that we got to enjoy a bit of each region. We will definitely come back with family and then would also love to try the à la carte menu. The lamb dish was my absolute fave. Service was good BUT, this deducted one star. We ordered a bottle of champagne and it was kept away from us so we couldn't reach it. Normally that's not an issue however every time we needed it refilled no one was available to refill it and we had to flag someone down. The other option was getting up and getting it myself but that would've been awkward and probably disruptive. When the total is coming out to a total of $600, I do expect the service to be exceptional, not just good. Also - while it's so clear that the chef has a genuine love for this restaurant and his vision, having him speak in between each course was a bit disruptive to the dining experience. Every time my husband and I would be having a conversation the chef would stand up and give a speech about the inspiration behind the dish and how to eat it. Again, appreciate the passion but this was too much. I would recommend one speech at the beginning and then giving a menu upon being seated and including 1-2 lines as a description with each dish that would capture this information. Overall none of this would make me not come back, but definitely some things that would've made the experience better.

I appreciated how generous the breakfast combos are each one comes with a good amount of food. We ordered a breakfast combo with all of our favorites: dosa, upma, idli, sambar, and vada. The dosa was well-fermented, crisp, and flavorful. The upma was soft and comforting, with a moist, fluffy texture and was well seasoning. The idli was light and fluffy, and the sambar had just the right of flavor to complement it. The vada was crisp on the outside, tender inside, and paired especially well with the sambar.
