My coworkers and I have been coming her me almost weekly for year for their lunch buffet. At first, we weren't too impressed but we slowly got hooked. They have a pretty good selection of items. Pretty much what you'll see at other places. Some dishes to definitely try (but since it's a buffet, it's pretty safe to try everything) are a tofu scramble, chili chicken, potato cakes, and their bhature-fry bread. I like how when they have fresh naan they bring it around to the tables first before they deposit it on the buffet. For the most part, their customer service is spot on, keeping drinks filled. If you order tea, it does take a bit of time. Minor quips- I wish they would list what items they have each day, we tried to find a pattern but doesn't seem like there is one. India Palace is one of our favorite Indian restaurants to go to. I especially love their lunch buffet. They have a good variety of foods to try. My favorite dishes there are the Vegetable Coconut Korma and the Chicken Tikka Masala. They have exceptionally good garlic naan too. At their lunch buffet they serve a Carrot Halwa that is scrumptious. Their mango and strawberry lassi are both delicious as well. I love Indian Palace I have been coming here over the course of 2 years. It has such a beautiful and inviting atmosphere. The staff is incredible always so kind and polite. Now the food! OML I love it so much their Chicken Saag always hits the spot after a long day. They have the perfect blend of seasonings and spices it is completely herbaceous. The garlic naan is out of this world as well I highly recommend. I have gone to plenty of Indian restaurants none can compete with the Indian Palace garlic naan. Me and my family went here for lunch. Most of us got the buffet, while my nephew got a dish since he is allergic to poultry and all they have at the buffet was chicken. Everyone enjoyed the buffet. I don't think it's the best out there, but it was good. I miss other types of meat and the dessert, a type of rice thing was interesting and different. They also had a soup that had a coconut milk taste which was my favorite thing about the whole thing. Wish I had it right now. Might have to go back just for that. read more

It makes me cringe a little to write this review. I think I must have been to India Palace over 30 times and never ordered anything different. Always share a meal with my wife. 3 garlic naans and medium spicy chicken tikka masala. I'm sorry I can't speak to more dishes, but they really caught me with that first one. I've never tried anything since. Also, I don't know if you other India Palace-goers have noticed, but the servers are 100% on top of filling water glasses. They're always full! The BEST Indian food I have ever had! The curry has perfect flavor and consistency. The rice is incredible - it isn't bland (has seasoning) and is delicious to eat on its own. The naan is fantastic! It is better than Bombay House. The naan is HUGE, well seasoned, and leaves you wanting more. The curry is about $12-$15 depending on what you get. Definitely try this place out!! read more

I have been dining at India Palace in provo religiously for over 10 years. I'm a trans woman and I starting dinning there before I transitioned. The owner always treated me with the upmost respect. I really do love their food and so this rating is NOT about the food. This week I took my girlfriend (also trans) to dinner there for her birthday. The new host (not the owner) was rude and rushed us to order and then rushed us to pay and leave. He also sat a right-wing nutter that was open carrying right next to us. Finally, I left my sunglasses there and the host insisted that I didn't (which I know is not true). I know when people are acting on their transphobia around me and he was definitely doing so. India Palace has lost a loyal customer. It's not a LGBTQ+ friendly establishment. From now on, it's Bombay House for me. read more

Finally found great Indian food in Utah. By far the best example we have found yet. Offered our usual Chicken Tika and Chicken Tika Masala with garlic naan and mango lassi. Everything was perfect. Exactly what I hope for when visiting a new Indian restaurant. Service was very attentive. Portions were large allowing for leftovers. Parking is not awesome but there's a lot nearby. Apparently this place is really known for the lunch buffet, but that's not something I've been too. I've always liked the space and was hoping a new place so close to it's competition around the corner would be stepping things up a notch. However, I find everything to be just a hair weaker. No wine, just beer. The fried items seem a bit more greasy. The standard fare is well done. I hope there's enough people dining in the area to support both places. It is a welcome additional to so much mediocre fare in the area. I had a lot of Indian co-workers when working at clients over the years. That included places around Europe and all of the US. We ate on a Wednesday at about 6pm. There were what looked like two large tables being served in back and then us. We were sat immediately. The good: the rice was awesome. The okay: the food was...fine, though my chicken curry wasn't great and my wife's vegetable coconut korma seemed heavy on coconut oil, the chicken tikka masala and chicken pineapple something were fine. The bad: I feel like we maybe caught them on an off day. The hostess was our server. She didn't really know what to do. Had no idea what Raita was and wasn't sure how to check us out. The cost was shocking: almost $20 for entrees that weren't generous in portion nor really tasty. The drinks were over $3 each and had almost no carbonation. The music was loud. We had our three small children with us. We were grateful when the manager said the chicken Tikka was spicy. But we wished someone would've told us the appetizer we got was too. And strangely our paneer naan also had some kind of spice in it. I was a bit incredulous about that. And to top it all off, the mens room was nasty. It reeked of urine. It looked as if someone had gone in there and just let it rip all over the floor and wall. I had my son use the womens room. It was my wife's birthday too. Ugh. Very unprofessional service. We showed up and they pulled out some plastic table that was filthy from the back for us to sit around. When they were taking our orders one of there employees came up frustrated and quit there job, they were not very pleasant with us at all or appreciative and it took them over an hour to bring out our food. We ordered the Chicken Vandaloo and Pineapple Chicken and regular naan. The naan was DELICIOUS it was a bit greasy but other than that it was super good! Our main entrees were not as good as I hoped it would be, my entree was spicy enough to only really taste the spice, and I only ordered the medium heat. My partner got the pineapple chicken which she enjoyed! but my overall experience was definitely not what I was hoping for. Wow. The service was't great. The server plopped the food on the table and didn't hand it out to the right side. Which meant we were carrying a piping hot pail of sauce from one side of the 8 person table to the other. They managed to spill the food as the plopped it on the table. Nobody ever asked how things were or if we needed more of anything. We had to chase the waiter down to ask for more rice. The naan bread was brought out a lot sooner than the actual meal was and was cold by the time we got our meal. The waiter stood right by us as we were still eating and mumbled a few words to try to get us to swipe our card and pay right there. Watching us as we gave a tip. Bombay House is down the street, quality of food is better and customer service is much better too. I have been to both to order to go and this place messes up the orders. When I called after getting home the guy on the phone didn't know how to help me and kept asking if it was my fault that I didn't get my order. I told him I'm just calling to ask what happened to the rest of my order I'm not looking for whose fault it is but alright.
