My partner and I really wanted to find a good sit down Indian restaurant and turned to yelp like most do. We have a couple of places we like, but they are either take out only or don't have a vibe inside that makes dining in seem like a good option. Wow am I glad we tried Indian Flavors! Not only was the service fantastic and dining experience wonderful, but the food! Wow! I had only had Korma at these other places, thinking I loved it. Well I did love those places, but I don't think I will be able to go back. The amount of love put into the dish really showed me how little I knew about how good it could be. It really was something special. Paired with their garlic naan (one of many Indian bread options I plan to try) it was seriously spectacular. This alone earns a 5 out of 5. They also brought out this dessert cheese dish for us that was so packed with flavor we both had to do a double take. They apparently have a lunch buffet with a super reasonable price that I will surely be trying. I have gone basically my whole life eating the staple butter chicken, but this restaurant helped me fortify how much I love Korma while inspiring me to expand my taste and try new Indian dishes. I hope Lodi, Galt, and the surrounding cities can help support this restaurant. What I tried was special. The Mexican restaurant that used to be here was a favorite of many locals but didn't make it. We were traveling south from Sacramento and decided to stop. The garlic naan was the star of the show for us! It was some of the best I've ever had. We started with samosa chaat. The samosa was crispy and the chick pea curry was fantastic!! Unfortunately the tamarind sauce was ketchup. I was disappointed, but the other amazing components almost made up for it. We ordered chicken makhni and saag paneer for our entrees. Neither was what we have come to expect for these dishes, but both were tasty, so maybe it's just a regional flavor? The chicken was a little sweet and the paneer dish much less creamy than I'm used to. Tasty, but different! The young lady who waited on us was a delight! Attentive and helpful. One area for improvement is maybe clearing the empty dishes off of the table as we finish. She's young and learning, so I can't fault her much. The dining room is clean and orderly - cloth napkins on the tables. The chilled water bottle for each table earns major points in my book! I wish them much success! read more

$14 lunch buffet is a steal! We dropped in close to noontime on a Sunday and it was empty except for one table. I think dinner buffet is $16. We saw a sign outside on the street. Located in a not so nice area but at least the food was good. I'm surprised it wasn't busy at all. Plain naan was good. I think it cost extra for garlic naan. We tried a bunch of different items. They got fruits , dessert, sauces, salads, pakora, tandoori chicken, curries. Some curries were spicy and some weren't. Great place to fill up on food before going to the wineries. read more

Tried this place for the first time. Don't eat Indian food very often. Makhni (Butter) chicken is good, as is the chicken Korma. We got mild spice on both. They gave us Papadum, a very flat bread cracker or chip like. Came with dome dipping sauces that had great flavor. They also gave us Rasmalai, a spongy cheese with milk and almonds. I totally applaud the effort that Indian Flavors has done. Painted fresh a lovely color in red and white, ivy/green on some of the walls, TV's, a buffet table, and signature signs -- gives it a really nice look, and it feels very clean. The staff is incredibly sweet. In fact, our waitress Garima deserves a special call out. So sweet, so young, and so caring. My gf and I loved her. We ordered our usual Indian fare (and how we judge all new places): Chicken Tikka Masala (perhaps the best I've ever had), Vegetable Biryani (really good, not great), and Baigan bharta (fresh taste, but overly spiced). A really down to earth spot here in Lodi! I'm always on the lookout for new Indian restaurants/buffets to try out and stumbled upon Indian Flavors Cuisine on Yelp. We had the lunch buffet and their pricing is really good for buffet standards ($13.99 on Saturday), the food was laid out nicely, lots of variety to choose from such as chicken curry, yellow rice, chicken makhani, vegetable samosas, etc. Naan and water was provided. Such a beautiful little gem of a restaurant, and the food even more amazing. I've tried Indian restaurants in the Bay Area, and this beats all of them. Other restaurants pride themselves in how spicy their food is, or regional cuisine, but this one beats all of them not just in value but taste as well! Best goat curry and chicken curry I have tried. Some of the food had a not so pleasant smell, We ordered Chicken tikka masala 3/5 Chilly chicken 4/5 Seekh Kebob 2/5 Lamb tikka 1/5 Garlic naan 3/5 Pakora 5/5 Samboosa 3/5 Everything was decent but the lamb tikka had a bad smell not sure if it was over seasoned or something. The new owners of this space has done an amazing job remodeling the place! It is nice and can even qualify as a place for date night. Clean, neat, organized with real silverware, ceramic dishes, water goblets and chilled water served in glass bottles. The place alone is five star quality - just like the food. The real star of this new Lodi restaurant is the food. We love Indian Buffets and this is our new favorite! Definitely MY new favorite because the food is not all hot pepper spicy. You can actually taste the spices and savor the lamb, chicked and vegetables. Best of all, they bring the naan in baskets to your table so it is always hot and fresh. This location was the former home of El Rinconcito Mexican Restaurant. We were fans of El Rinconcito and sorry to see it go, but Indian Flavors Cuisine is a welcome addition to our local restaurant selection. The old restaurant's rather stark interior has been elevated with newly painted walls, better tables and chairs, and banquettes. Colorful Bollywood music videos play on tv at a tasteful volume, adding to the Indian atmosphere, all contributing to improved comfort and ambiance. For our first visit we tried the $15.99 lunch buffet, quite a bargain as it offered a variety of vegetarian dishes (spinach, eggplant, lentil/dal, and at least two others), meat entrees including tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and lamb curry, green salads, chutneys, raita yogurt sauce, Indian pickles, papadum cracker bread, rice, and desserts! Indian milk tea (not sure if it was chai) was available in an urn. Service was warm and attentive. The gentleman who had greeted us, perhaps the manager or owner, brought a basket of fresh hot naan straight from the oven to our table. And a smiling server visited frequently to take dirty plates and check on us. The food all seemed fresh and wholesome and was appetizing, if a bit too lightly seasoned for my taste, both in savory herbs and in heat. This extended to the green chutney which typically would pack more of a punch and the rice pudding where the cardamom flavor that we love was lacking. As for the entrees, perhaps when one orders from the menu one can specify the spice level? We'll see about that next time. One thing that sets Indian Flavors above the take-out-only Indian & Pakistani competition in Lodi is that diners can actually -dine in- here and have a relaxed sit-down Indian meal in a pleasant setting. The service here is top notch. The tables are beautiful as well. It's an elegant, yet relaxing atmosphere. But the real star is the absolutely mouth-watering food. Everything I tried was delicious, and the flavors kept building with every bite. The spice level is not so high that you can't enjoy your meal, but it is anything but bland. Every dish is bursting with flavor. The lamb curry was tender and mildly sweet, and the butter chicken was delightful.
