We order take out due to the strange vibe we were getting. The service was slow, our meals (sandwich and quiche) were presented on plastic plates covered in al-foil. On inspection of our food we decided that we would not eat them. Both had a strange amount of blackness to them. The crust of the quiche was black and grey however did not appear burnt, while the filling of the quiche was 99% diced ham/bacon and crumbed when pressed. The sandwich was riddled with black avocado. Neither seemed edible. This meal was not cheap.... the two items cost over $20 together and they charged me 20cents to use my card as I didn't have enough cash due to the high prices. I have never seen a cafe serve salada crackers with a slice of tomato and cucumber for $5. I would not recommend eating here.

We had a birthday there recently and they held onto the cake and when we were ready the cake was bought out with candles lit and a knife to cut. The staff member that bought it out also hung around to sing happy bday which, which was fun. We had the banquet which was great and reasonably priced. Only criticism I would have is that one of the group did not partake in the banquet so had their own meal, however this one plate cost just as much on its own as the banquet. All in all I would recommend this place if you love Indian food.

We asked for carry-out and was told 15 minutes but it probably took all of 10 if that. The food was packaged well and we got it home hot and fresh. The samosas were roaring hot and fresh, with good spice and a nice balance of the filling vs. the exterior. The naan was absolutely as fresh as could be and was warm and soft and lovely. Both dishes had succulent, tender meats that fell apart and there was plentiful sauce. The spice level was medium vs. any other Indian I've had (not hot enough for me, plenty of hot for my wife!) and was complex. The butter chicken had that smooth, buttery flavor, and the gulab jamun was tender and sweet. Not only was the food great, but the staff (I presume the owners) were quick, friendly, and extremely grateful for our patronage. It's a small, unassuming place, but the perfect hole in the wall/mom & pop business that I love to find and support. It's a place I'll be certain to visit again when we need good Indian in Whyalla!
