My two younger ones really liked the small roller rink to start out. This was their first time ever skating. There is a lot of steps to go up to the roller rink from the parking lot. They have both roller blades and skates. We loved that they have a practice rink and the regular adult rink. For the entire first hour of the public skate we were the only ones there. We had an absolute blast. Everything looks like it's straight out of the 80s. Staff were so friendly and its family run. I will definitely be back!

I understand "policies" but maybe there could be further consideration for the parents that are required to be there. Skate Castle doesn't charge adult spectators. - Skate floor can get a bit overcrowded - Adults of children/adults skating with their younger children skating around extremely fast at times and others getting run into/knocked down - Concessions are a bit on the higher side ($3.50 for a small slushie) My kids ended up having a blast which offset the higher prices of all the things, but I'm not so sure that we'll be going back here too often.

I decided not to tempt the fates, especially since the last time I roller skated, I crack my one bone from my knee to my ankle...yeah, wasn't going down that route again. Like most skating rinks in this area the building looks a bit unassuming. In fact it looks like either an industrial building or an oversized garage. I think it's a bit confusing at this area as well since they have self-storage units for rent as well. Inside, instantly taken back to the 90s. You have to be buzzed into the place, but only after you either purchase an entrance, or are there for a party. A little extra safety precaution that doesn't allow for anyone in that shouldn't be there. The rink is your typical setup, right in the middle of the floor with a walkway around it for the most part. There is a party room, an arcade, a concession stand, and the place where you get your skates/trade in arcade tickets to get your prize. The party room is not all that great. When you book a party you are given a section of the room and you will share it with at least one other group, and it can be up to four other groups sharing the room with you. A missed opportunity here is the blocked connection to the arcade. As for the food, I did not try it. It looked like premade everything, thrown together pizza. Speaking of the arcade, it was where I spent most of my time with my nephew and niece. Typical arcade games that you can earn tickets through. Skeeball, basketball, skill games, etc. Those seem to be provided my Slinky Action Zone, at least that is what the slip says when you trade them in. Overall, great experience, but odd hours.

They are IMO somewhat lacking in covid enforcement, as the adult indoor hockey group getting ready as my son's soccer group was wrapping up were all unmasked on the sidelines while donning gear and waiting their turn, forcing people walking by to be exposed. So, if that's their typical level of covid awareness and enforcement, one should factor that into consideration. Otherwise, a decent location for active fun.

Today is a sunny winter day, no rain or snow, so there were not many families enjoying indoor skating, but it was great for our young girls to practice on. Fun afternoon.
