This location is very easy to find as it's off the main drag of Carnaby street just off to the side. The black paint and signage make it easy to spot. The inside was clean and not overdone so you can really focus on the pieces there. I've always wanted a piece from here but was apprehensive because of the prices (I'm just cheap, the pieces are quality and reasonable for the craftsmanship) but mainly because since all of the pieces are custom made to your size, the items need to be shipped. Told myself for years I'd just go to their Los Angeles store but never did. It's so much more special getting a piece here though as the Great Frog originated here. Staff member named Jaws helped me out and was a lovely human being. Approachable and helpful, not pushy but made me feel good about my purchase. Walked me through sizing me for a ring and talked prices and shipping. Also was friendly that we got off topic talking about life and overall just a nice person who made the experience A+. I'm so happy with my rock n roll ring purchase that I'll be a fan going forward. If you love badass jewelry with a rock n roll edge and history, this shop is the one for you.

My heart sank when I saw the original shop front in Ganton Street boarded up on a post-lockdown visit to Central London. Turns out, they just moved to a new location around the corner in Newburgh Street - phew! With quite a queue outside as well, so the future seems secure. This is the original rock'n'roll jeweller and famous for its collection of skull rings.

The till is in an awkward place in the centre of the shop.. making it hard to queue, they could do with taking note on who was next in the queue though/

They tend to stock more unusual clothes, with skull-patterned dresses, brightly coloured jumpers and unusual t-shirts. I bought one of my favourite t-shirts here, which depicts two giraffes kissing. Aaah. They also seem to have a constant sale rail, which does often include a lot of duff items, but occassional gems can be found here - I bought a couple of lovely £5 dresses here over the summer.

The general stock is always quite 'light' and not gaudy. Certainly not a store to frequent should you require some Bling! Whilst the majority of the stock is the kind of thing you would be buying for your girlfriend, there are also enough bracelets and necklaces of jade and citrine etc. for the more bohemian gentleman. I have bought myself a very nice amber bracelet from here before and more importantly received the thumbs up for presents to girlfriends. There is not always quite as much stock as some of the larger jewlers, but as the saying goes sometimes 'less is more'. The staff have always been helpful and will box up your purchase nicely, so that those who are lazy or inept at wrapping would be able to get away with giving the gift as it comes from the shop. The price is kind of wide ranging with nice pieces available for those on a budget, but also some fine items for shoppers wanting to spend out of something that will draw compliments at relevant functions. The shop is packed with vibrant, youthful clothing and many of the same bags and accessories you'll find at Yoma. This store is much larger than Yoma and can get quite crowded with teenagers at the weekend. The selection of stock is impressive- it doesn't particularly wow me, but I'm probably 10 years older than their average customer! (wow, that's depressing...) The bag selection is great and very up-to-the minute with lots of tote bags and holdalls. I distinctly remember Lulu Rose being one of the first places I saw metallic bags and purses (before they were everywhere), so it's probably a good place to go if you want to jump on board with the latest fashion and accessory trends. In the past I have always thought the clothing was kind off the mark, but lately I've seen a couple of good old body-con dresses (who isn't selling them, seriously, they're everywhere?!) and some pretty cardigans in the window. After much searching elsewhere, Lulu Rose was among my last options. Thankfully I managed to source a bag that was in the sale, reduced for £35 down to £16. There were perhaps half a dozen items that I considered buying, which is certainly better than the previous shops I had tried. Some of the clothes were a bit average, looking like Top Shop inspired items from 3 months previous. Still, I was able to find a good quality bag for a cheaper price than I would have expected.

I love this shop!…read more It's full of weird, random and quirky bits and bobs, and it is usually my first port of call when I am looking to buy a gift or present for someone. If you're a cat lover you are in for a treat, as there are plenty of cat related items in the shop, from lamps, to nail stickers and mugs! I spend a good ten minutes laughing out loud at a book of pigeons that was in there (who knew some pigeons could look so bizarre!? I probably should have bought the book; I'm laughing to myself about the pigeons now). There really is so much stuff in there, that you would have to spend an age in there to see everything. There are bits and pieces crammed into every corner of the store! My only qualm is that because everything is piled everywhere, there is not a lot of room to move! If there are more than 3 people in the shop or you are carrying a few shopping bags, you aren't going to last long in there.
