We checked with a few different companies for a quote for relocation and replacement of our furnace and AC unit. I had the pleasure of dealing with Roy throughout the process and of all the companies we contacted he provided the most information down to earth explanation of what he would be doing. He inspected our current system and advised on what could be replaced and what could be saved in order to reduce the cost. We decided to go with a more efficient system with the view to saving more money in the long run. The entire relocation took about five days from start to finish, including installing a new AC condenser and the building of the furnace platform in the attic. Roy and his team were always respectful of my house and I felt that he was trustworthy. In addition to the relocation Roy added attic lighting and a particle board laid out in the attic to form a path to access the furance. The communication throughout the entire process was second to none and Roy was helpful in providing updates. The relocation of the furnace from our garage cupboard into the attic was handled extremely well, and included a number of redundancies in case of leakage. This was all explained thoroughly by Roy after installation. I will definitely be keeping this company in my list of preffered contractors and use them whenever I need any further furnace issues resolving. read more

Furnace wasn't working as we had into these brutal San Diego winters. I knew of ICE from my work. They were the hvac guys for the complex I had a retail store at. Called old landlord got the number and called Roy. The next day he was here and got my furnace working prefect and safely in no time. Despite me making a last minute call on a Friday (right before a weekend heatwave), he answered and actually came to inspect my A/C unit that same evening (!) He went right to work identifying and resolving the issue, and took the time to thoughtfully answer all of my follow up questions at the end of his long day. New AC inside and out. Roy was our guy to give us an estimate and oversee the project. OUTSTANDING - read further on why! I'll tell you the story and to the money ($$) down below. So, Friday night in the sea of summer in between heat waves. The compressor went down with the damn three prong plug failing! Compressor was brunt - dead. We had about five people come out and tell us the same thing, you need a new compressor and your furnace (might be the wrong thing but that's what I'm calling it today - my story ;)_ inside is going to need to be replaced now or soon. Also - it's going to be two to three weeks before we can do the job! And another heat wave was coming in July of 2022 up in Ramona, CA. Roy was the only who thought outside the box. He called back within minutes of leaving and said he could replace the compressor outside and then come back in 3 weeks and replace the unit in the attic. He could complete the compressor portion of the job in three days. His thoughts was to replace the compressor and then we would at least have AC as long as the furnace held out. Low and behold, he worked miracles and we had AC for the next 3 weeks until they came back! The main thing in all this. This was the only place to think outside the box and get things back to operating quickly. This is huge I'd think in this business - thinking outside the box. The other thing, we replaced all the ducting, setup the house right for airflow. There were things in the attic that had to be fixed like framing for the vents and the filter. They completed those tasks without issues even though it wasn't really part of the job. Recently they came back and switched a "dip" out due to some noise while we were running the heater. He came out and looked at it, knew exactly what might be the problem and fixed in two days - lot less noise now and the home is heated. $$ What most people want to know. We've lived in the house for 3 yers (winters) and have only used the fireplace to heat the house. This year I started fires early and have no more wood for the fireplace :(. So I turned on the heater knowing that SDGE raised the rates and was fearful of my bill - very fearful! I've never ran the heater except to make sure it works. My electric bill, SOLAR and SDGE are similar from what the last years were, if only raised by $10. They way I'm looking at this - I've used the heater (A LOT) and it only raised the electric bill $10. He said it was energy efficient - just didn't realize how the old TRANE that was 15 years old sucked all the electricity! Can't wait for summer!!!! So in the end, you can TRUST Indoor Climate Experts (ICE). They're dependable, great customer service, nice/polite, explain stuff - but bottom line - TRUST Worthy! Thank you Roy! read more

My central AC at my home in Chula Vista was turning itself off & on. I had service techs from 2 large companies come & look at it. One told me I needed a new AC, furnace & ducts for $19,000 & that I had gas leaks. One told me they could fix it for $4,300 but said that I shouldn't get it repaired but should replace it because it's 15 years old.
