If you have any flooring needs, please DO NOT give your business to Eagleson Flooring. We have been…read morebooked to have carpet installed since early March. I advised the rep (Joel) on April 6 that we have someone immuno-compromised in our household and we require that everyone wear masks at all times after workers showed up to install our hardwood and didn't wear masks. This immuno-compromised person was hospitalized for 6 days since then, and just got out of the hospital this weekend. I therefore reminded the rep that all workers need to wear masks when in our home again two days ago. Our carpet installation was booked for tomorrow, Thursday April 21 (and had been since early March). I get a call from the rep yesterday stating that he would do his very best to get an installation crew that would be WILLING to wear masks because " they don't like it because it makes it hard to breathe " and our installation may have to be postoned. I am so livid, I could not even explain how hard it is for me to comprehend putting employees' PREFERENCES ahead of customer safety. Now we're told someone will come to " evaluate " the job tomorrow and that it will very likely be a three-day job (funny how when I was paying, it was a one-day job!). And this " evaluator " wasn't even made aware that he needed to wear a mask in our home by the rep - we had to inform him ourselves when he called to confirm the appointment. So again we're being penalized and will now have people in our home for three days, thus further augmenting the risk to an immuno-suppressed person who was hospitalized but a few days ago. Eagleson Flooring, absolutely unacceptable and inexcusable! So, please, everyone, give your business to other florring businesses who are more willing to respect their clients' safety requirements. I really don't think we're asking for the moon here.

Ray was extremely pleasant and professional and did an excellent job of estimating the job. Peter -- the installer -- was the hardest working installer we have ever dealt with. In addition he was friendly, upbeat, efficient, and a perfectionist. Everything was done beautifully at every stage and he cleaned up at the end of every day. I would have no hesitation doing another job with Alexanian. Thank you Ray and Peter.

Overall satisfied with the installation of carpets but would not return as a customer to this…read morelocation and likely any other location due to poor customer service. Installed product was done as I expected, and the install team was very professional and met my expectations. To note but was not an issue for me, the installers arrived a ¾ of an hour into the installation window and install took marginally longer than expected window, but were clearly working to their capacity, just the estimation was likely off. Customer service was below an expected level. During measurement, Chris Foley (Manager) did not take any Covid 19 precautions, and closed into within 2 meters from myself, resulting in me having to take precautions from him vice him from me in my residence. Managed to not touch much but did help himself to sit at a table. Not satisfactory in todays world and resulted in the customer having to do work to sanitize after his departure. Manager attempted to up sell me to resurface more than was requested, using the safety of my kids and the dangers of hardwood floors as the rational to resurface more of the desired spaces. This is an incredibly low tactic which in retrospect should have made me reconsider conducting business. I was only provided an invoice once I demanded on the day of installation, with the manager suggesting that the carbon copy previously provided was sufficient. My insistence of a line by line invoice seemed to be a large inconvenience for the manager but he indicated that he thought it had been previously sent. When questioned about lack of clarity of the invoice, the manager became curt and aggressive towards my wife, and did not want her to transfer to me, assessed as my wife as an attempt to bully her. When transferred to me, his first statement being that he would pull the team off the project immediately and how dare I question someone who has 35 plus years of experience. This is a bully tactic and should not be in tolerated in the current world. The manage refused to listen to me, cutting me off by saying that he would answer my questions, despite me not yet finishing my sentence. I never actually was able to ask my question and ultimately did not receive satisfaction to my questions. Of concern, the manager had a series of answers to provide prior to being asked which indicates that he often receives questions signalling that there may be a pattern of the business not be providing information until asked for it. Despite the understanding that the customer was to remove the existing carpet "lift the carpet on the Invoice", on the day of the install I was informed that I was to coordinate the disposal of the old carpet. Minor inconvenience but something that could have been done prior had the expectations been better laid out. The manager accepted that he did didn't articulate this nor that he put it on the carbon copy invoice, suggesting that disposal costs the major portion of the $0.50 per sq ft that they charged vice labour to remove the carpet, underlay, and staples. An efficient business may have offered to do amend the contract and add the disposal at $0.50 per sq ft to make profit, but it was not offered possibly not possible due to final payment was processed prior to start of the job. Overall more of an annoyance but very much encapsulates the customer service provided. Recommend anyone using this business avoid dealing with the manager, or conversely go to the other location on Merivale Rd, as it is 20 minutes away and has much better reviews.

I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT recommend this company. Homeowners beware! I had a flood last year and went out…read morehired someone professional to order white oak (which is super pricey, it cost me $6k to buy enough wood to fix the damaged area in the kitchen). We then searched around and found Stittsville Flooring who quoted a reasonable cost which we thought was great... or so we thought. Well, first off, I came home to find my front door wide open while I have indoor cats, not one of them could be found so I'm panicking trying to find them, meanwhile the contractor that was there couldn't care any less nor did he apologize. Then the agreement was for them to lay down the wood, sand and seal it. He did not sand nor seal it, when I asked about sealing the wood, he just said, " oh I don't know, I'm just here to put the wood down" and then he walked away leaving me at a lost on if someone was returning to finish or not. Instead, he ruined my floors! Ruined my cabinetry and nailed in my floor right in the middle of the boards! He left unsightly and uneven gaps every, gouges and saw marks everywhere! His saw blade was so dull instead of straight cuts, he shredded all the edges on my boards! When we called back to complain, the owner lied and said to my husband that he told me the wood was no good (false, he never said anything to me, barely even said hi actually) then he proceeds to tell us it's our fault, that the wood is no good. I'm sorry but white oak is not cheap wood! I refuse to pay for this, now I have to go and spend another 6K on wood when they should be refunding me for the royal f-up they just did! How they think this is ok or acceptable for a home owner to think this is good work is beyond me. Stay away at all cost from these people, they will cost you more in the end. Shame on you guys for robbing people of their hard earned dollars for sub par customer service and shitty "craftsmanship". Update: The owner called us back the next day and said he was more upset from what the contractor did than what we were and asked us to remove the bad review as to not kill his business. We had agreed as long as he replaced the $6K worth of wood they destroyed and fixed our floors as they should be. Well, it's been 2 full weeks now and NO update, NO communication from them, NO repaired floors and NO replacement of the cost for the wood destroyed. Clearly, they don't care about customer service either.
