By this time, I was very happy with my experience but it got even better when I saw Dr. Jancelewicz. He is very kind and knowledgeable. He explained everything very thoroughly, wrote down notes for me on information sheets about my allergies and answered all of my questions. I cannot stress how much of a pleasure it was going to his office! I highly recommend getting a referral here if you need to see an allergist :)

I can not recommend that anyone with sexual or medical trauma go to this clinic. However, you might be like me and consider the fact that you might actually get pregnant at the end of all of this to be worth the re-traumatizing vaginal torture. I guess it just depends on how desperate you are. Like many people living with trauma, I feel like I am a bad person for speaking out against people who hurt me, in this case the examination team at this clinic. However, at the same time, I believe like potential patients must know about previous patient experiences so they can make informed choices. My first experience was easy, painless and felt safe. 5/5 My second experience was horrible, painful and traumatizing. 0/5 2.5 overall... so far. --------- UPDATE: I am going to formally complain about my horrible experience with the clinic and then with CPSO because this treatment is not acceptable. UPDATE#2: We really like our actual doctor at this clinic, and after talking with her about my horrible experience and her explaining to us how the clinic is responding to my complaint, we are going to continue going to this clinic. I love my Doctor SO much, if she were to leave, I would follow her. Everytime I go to West Oak, the staff treat me so kindly and are extremely friendly. I never feel uncomfortable or like I don't matter. Dr. Dawood is the nicest Doctor I have ever had, and believe me, I have had some real jerks. They have a TV that is USUALLY showing Beauty and the Beast, though I have seen Toy Story on there before (can you tell I see my Doctor a lot?), and they have a play area for kids, so a great place for families. I would recommend West Oak to anyone who needs a Doctor!

I was so nervous and afraid and they listened to me and explained the entire process without making it sound completely terrifying. I felt totally taken care of and listened to! You are assigned a counsellor who is with you the whole time. My counsellor was caring, funny and put me completely at ease. She held my hand through the procedure and helped me with breathing and relaxing. The Doctor & nurses were very good and made sure I was comfortable. I was surprised at how gentle the doctor was and how little the procedure hurt! For what it was, I couldn't recommend a better place to go. These women are ANGELS and I am so so so thankful for them and for what they do every day!!!!
