I have been going to this Inglewood Drive In since the 60's,70's,80's,90's,2000s. What shall I say this burger joint has been here awhile. Across the bridge is the Calgary Zoo, and 9th Avenue shopping. This is one of the oldest community here when Calgary was called Fort Calgary lots of history. They have cleaned up the area to become a very trendy community. Use to be very run down with a very high population of homeless. It's all cleaned up now. Tore down old buildings. Replaced them with new and refurbished ones that were getting run down. The Inglewood burger joint hasn't changed to much over the years, it's no longer a drive thru not sure when that changed. It's very small from the parking lot to the inside seating area. The outside has been spruced up from what I can remember. We had a couple of burgers a mushroom, a deluxe with onion ring and a 2 bumble berry milkshakes to go. This wonderful friendly lady delivered our order where we were waiting. Deluxe burger came with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, bacon and cheese with this yummy sauce. The burger was huge. I could barely finish it. The burger bun home made! Not the store bought junk! Patty was juicy the onion ring just as I remember as a kid! The burgers have changed for the better. Everything on the burger was well balanced and the fresh bun held together very well. -Will definitely be returning!! -Very clean and taken care of inside considering the age of the building. -Staff very friendly -Parking lot can fit 5 vehicles.

Classic burger joint, great food and selection. They offer all the classics plus malts, floats, and great shakes. Although the menu looks complicated , it's simple. Every burger style has the option of single, double, or combo. Fries are really good but you can also get rings or poutine. I had the Singlewood combo, burger was classic with ketchup, mustard, pickles, mayo, lettuce, tomato, bacon and cheese. With a small pop and fries it's a big meal and reasonably priced. There is no dine-in service but you can order online in advance or at the window. Since it was -25C I ordered online from the parking lot, ready in 5 minutes. I think this could be my new go-to burger joint. I look forward to sitting on one of the picnic tables in the Calgary summer heat, enjoying a float and a burger. Today the car will do.

It's an OK place. Get the double patty because I had a single burger and the patty is very thin so you are eating mostly a mouthful of bun. If I had known! Guy next to me knew to order the double patty. . Fries are good and prices for combos are cheap. Nice windows. Some on-site parking.

We like to try different burger joints, and the menu at this one was just too intriguing to pass up. Long story short, we're glad we stopped by. I had their mushroom Swiss burger, with well-seasoned crinkle-cut fries that didn't need any ketchup, plus a milkshake that oozed chocolatey goodness to the very last slurp.

Purposefully made dinner reservations for an earlier time so I could try Inglewood Drive Inn's take on Dole Whip (only $1 too!) Well, $1.57 to be exact, for a Large cone!! Unbelievable value. Didn't expect too much due to the price tag but I would say it trumps Stampede's take on dole whip by far and even the pineapple ice cream at popular ice cream places in Calgary as well! Definitely comparable to Disneyland! I hope they have it year round and not just in the summer. I will definitely return for more!!

There's something romantic about the setting of the Inglewood Drive Inn on 12th, perhaps it is the view of a sweet little steel bridge that leads you to the zoo across the river? Or perhaps the nostalgic feeling of the building itself, like an ice cream shop out of a 50s movie. There is nothing romantic about the interior of this place however, it is like a Chinese restaurant in a very small prairie town gone bad; Paint peeling off the walls, tacky decor and a very dirty floor. With some love and a new paint job I am sure the owners could bring back some of it's charm and character, but for now it remains depressing and void of ambiance. The menu features breakfast and lunch; there are omelettes, pancakes, wonton soup, hot and cold sandwiches, chicken wraps and burgers. The burgers range from 2.50 to 6 dollars depending on how many patties you want, but are made of processed meat. The burger lives up to its 2.50 price tag, it didn't blow me away and is what I expected for $2 and odd change but I don't really think that says much about the food quality in this joint. The only redeeming factor I see about the Inglewood Drive Inn is its potential and the sliding window that acts as a takeout order option outside.

Pickles and mustard were on one side and cheese was melted into the squished patty. It was not tasty nor did it look good. I took one bite and decided it wasn't worth any of my daily calories... I would rather have a big gulp of air than subject myself to this so called "cheeseburger." It was a huge disappointment. The bun was soft, warm, and sweet but the burger patty was a poor excuse for a patty. It's like the beef patty was on a diet.... a hunger strike more like it.... Instead of paying $8 for this lil cheeseburger you can go buy 2 packages of sweet buns and have a gluten hangover instead. That would be more enjoyable than this diet burger. Their margarita is not made fresh, it comes in a can and It's not good. Their cider is a failure as well. The positive part to this place is the staff. The server who took the order was friendly, sweet, and funny. The outside patio was nice to sit at and you could pour your own free water. Oh la la... Skip this burger joint if you're looking for a thick juicy burger. If you are on a diet and want a non-burger. This would be the place to get it. This place is on my banned list.

Dim Sum After Landing -- A Very Sad Story…read more We came straight from the airport to this Chinese restaurant because the Google reviews looked amazing. My boyfriend picked it, and honestly, walking in, the place looked clean enough. Service was fine too. So far, hope was alive. Then the food arrived. The BBQ Pork Rice Crepe was very average. The BBQ pork was loose and messy, the sauce leaned too sweet, and the rice noodle wrapper was so soft it basically gave up the moment my chopsticks touched it. The green vegetable on the side had no flavor at all. 2/5 The Steamed BBQ Pork Buns were a true disappointment. There was barely any BBQ pork inside, and the bun itself looked fluffy but somehow became super sticky in the mouth. Even my boyfriend, who is usually the least picky human alive, took two bites and pushed the bun skin aside. His review: "This is really bad." 1/5 The Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings tasted exactly like frozen supermarket dumplings. The $2.99 bag kind. And somehow they were not even crispy. Tragic. 1/5 The Har Gow and Steamed Spareribs were also forgettable. No personality, no flavor, no joy. But the most depressing dish was the Chicken Clay Pot Rice. I saw vegetables. I saw mushrooms. I saw chicken. I saw three sad slices of Chinese sausage. What I did not see was flavor. Not even salt showed up to work today. It honestly made me wonder: did the head chef call in sick? Or was the chef just having a very bad day and decided to cook food that matched the mood? Overall: 1/5 A deeply disappointing meal. By the end, I was seriously questioning whether the Google reviews were written by real customers or hired by the restaurant's emotional support team. Absolutely terrible.

The ranch burger and milkshake would of been more than enough for me (as that was a very hefty burger!) but also tried their smash browns (big potato chunks crisped up and super delicious enough to take home the remainder). I really liked the layout and lighting in the restaurant but as an added bonus, there is also a patio out back (I think you still need to go inside to order at the counter though) and free 3 hr parking for those eating there. I didn't realize about the parking until after I was done my appointment (that would of saved me from struggling with paying for parking on an old iphone that doesn't like indigo QR links...). So now I know for next trip to Calgary this is the spot to stop. Also, just an extra nod to the the two working (I believe they both were owners). Super friendly, will chat or leave you to enjoy your meal and really went the extra step with bringing out the good hot sauce and ketchup even before the meal was ready.

It did not come with fish sauce and I had to ask the staff for it. This is weird because typically when I go to Vietnam restaurants, they usually provide this automatically. Overall the portions were pretty big, the Thai tai fries were really good. I couldn't finish the ultimate bowl (maybe 40% of it). Flavour was pretty strong and I think there's MSG in it. Btw I was a class clown love the name of this burger joint from entry to exit the hollistic about experience is engaging and stimulating. From the bright neon lights of the out door signage to the double entry passage, this 70's blue collar kitchy decor and mood lighting and just overall chill vibe had me telling myself I haven't been to a cooler burger joint than today! Drink selection is screaming "you will not be found wanting" they had sodas, juices, liquor, beer, mutha effing wine! Wine!!! I saw the little fridge with all the wines and I knew right then and there this place was special as Class Clowns customers came from all walks of life. Sitting there I noticed I wasn't the only solo missionary to satisfy our hunger. I also saw two tables of young collage aged friends, a small table with two pairs of couples, and two mature couples. I wasn't fortunate enough to witness anyone order a glass of wine wine with their meal. But none the less We all gathered in union under the class clown roof to fill our bellies. I ordered a lager pointed into a frosted mug. Pounded that early and just enjoyed water cuz DUI's aren't ever coo. By the time I was half way done with my beer the burger and fries were arrived and my eyes couldn't believe how beautiful it all looked together. the fries were barely able to fit in the bowl topped with this sweet and savory meaty meat sauce giving a sloppy Joe type vibe, for some reason I was expecting a Detroit style chili with some heat on it but that's okay cuz I'm in Calgary Canada and when in Calgary... the fries were the old skool crinkle with amazing crispy and snap even with the meat sauce it didn't get soggy. The fries despite not aligning with my anticipated flavor it was amazing and a must get side order when coming here! The dounke burger looked too sexy to mess with, from the toasted sesame bun, the melted gooey sliced American cheese, grilled sliced onions, shredded lettuce, and the main event the smashed burger but not paper thin was still able to have an amazing crispy edge and texture all the while maintaining juiciness.
