I love that I can show her a picture and she will be honest with me about what will work and what won't work with my hair. Well, I can say after I visit this hair salon that it's officially the best salon in Los Angeles, California. The place's decoration is stunning; I even took a video of the site to my friend to encourage them to come to this beautiful salon. When I entered the salon, I was offered A choice of multiple drinks such as wine, beer, water...etc.; to me; I have considered this offer a welcoming drink for my visit. My appointment was with Jaiden. She does not just give you a great vibe that you are in good hands based on her knowledge of hairstyling, but she is also so lovely and skillful. Moreover, my appointment was for a haircut; she talked about the products that suit my hair types, such as shampoo and a leave-in conditioner. I was concerned that she would cut more than I wanted of my hair, but she exactly heard what I wanted and how much I needed my hair to be trimmed. Her hand is blessed. They were gentle on my hair. So I have to say that this place is the cutest salon ever! It's design is more of a boho chic and the stylists there are super sweet. My stylist was Mimi! I called to see if she is available and she made herself available in a short amount of time! My hair needed this rejuvenation badly. I had tons of whites growing in and my previous balayage was grown out significantly! Mimi and her assistant were so patient. Super nice and helped time pass! I've been going to this salon (before they revamped their name recently) for about 3 years or so. I've had multiple people work on my hair such as Mariel and Jen. Both are awesome, no joke. Entire staff is extremely friendly too! I don't trust anyone with my hair and I'm terrible at explaining what I want, but when it comes to Jen, she always does a kick ass job every time. She's fast, efficient and quite frankly, she's legit, the real deal. At Ink Salon, you're definitely paying for quality and for excellent service. Sorry this is long ...I hate to give bad reviews but...they didn't even give me a chance :/ I called this salon cause my daughter recommended her stylist from there. Unfortunately she's not there so the receptionist said that Jen could take care of me since I wanted a short, layered style. Two days before my appointment Jen text to confirm with me. Great this is good. Then she text back to say that she's sorry but she can't help me cause she doesn't do short styles:( so I ask her if someone else could help me. She recommended Amelia. So the next day I call and Vicky answers and I explain what happened with Jen and I ask for an appointment with Amelia (who I think is the owner). She says that Amelia is off for two weeks due to a surgery she had. ‍doesn't Jen know this since she works there?? Vicky then says that jaiden can help me. I say ok making sure she can handle a short hair cut. Vicky says yes that she's amelia's assistant. Ok great! Mind you it's been 15 months from my last haircut due to Covid and I'm very anxious to get it cut. I show up for my appointment to find the doors locked. Ok I see people in there so I think I need to call to let them know I'm there. Amelia answers the phone and I proceed to tell her that I'm there for my appointment with jaiden and she tells me no it's with Jen. I go through everything with her and she's very apologetic but ends up saying that jaiden can't help me and that she can cut my hair next week if I would like since she's not going into the salon she is just helping with the phones. That she would text me her number if I hadn't gotten it cut with someone else by then. It's not easy trusting just anyone with your hair, but Vicki is hands down one of the most amazing hair stylist I have ever got a hair cut with. I followed her from a previous salon and will follow her again if she ever moves.
