For a few years, I had been doing a ton of research on many tattoo removal locations. With many recommendations, I was lead to Inkfree, MD. I have been going to Inkfree for a little over a year now. Within the year, I have had a variety of treatments starting with the Hollywood Laser Peel. Let's just say, wow! You get immediate results and your face is not only youthful looking but it's glowing. I have gone on to have another one of those months later, and I highly recommend! In a gift raffle, I won a free session with the SculpSure, a non-invasive laser body contouring. I had some stubborn belly jelly (lol) that I could not get rid of. I decided to focus on that area. Now, I've only done one treatment, but It sure helped me get the ball rolling into losing inches and fat! It's for sure a must try! I decided that I wanted to get some tattoos removed. One big, really dark one my arm; medium size on my stomach; and a small one on my foot. The Pico Plus laser is amazing!! It is pretty painful. But, Inkfree does a great job prepping you with numbing cream, ice, and cool air to make the session as comfortable as possible. Honestly, it's super quick! My foot tattoo is completely gone after 2 sessions and stomach almost after 3! The Pico does the job! And lastly, laser hair removal on my face and bikini. Painless! 3 sessions so far and no hair! I purchased a package for laser hair removal and Donna has done an amazing job. Every time I visit Donna and Jonathan are so personable and make me feel very comfortable. During the procedure, Donna talks with you to keep your anxiety low, from prepping the area to be treated to the last laser zap, Donna is a true professional. I live in Humble and have to drive 40-45 minutes to their location, but it is worth it. The Cynosure Elite laser hair removal has a blast of cold air that accompanies the laser, and there is absolutely no down time. I've had laser hair removal before and I had to go in and have them apply a numbing cream at least 40 minutes prior to treatment. The Cynosure Elite laser doesn't require any pre-numbing cream so the entire visit is very short. I highly recommend Inkfree, MD for laser hair removal. read more

Laser tattoo removal without a doubt is excruciating. I can't even sift through my mind to find the right words to describe how painful the process is. It's like nothing I've ever experienced and unfortunately, something that I'll have to experience until my tattoo is gone. The domain of my tattoo is the size of three bills placed beside one another, so that's a whole lot of surface area to cover. In one session I endured and allowed for the entire tattoo to be lasered instead of small increments, and I need at least twelve sessions. Have you ever been bitten by an army of fire ants and felt the sting of their venom spread like wildfire? Essentially, you're getting zapped with a laser in the attempts to eradicate the ink particles that have been injected into your dermis. Your lymphatic system will help clear up the ink debris, and you'll begin to see the tattoo fade as each session passes. There is a numbing cream that you can apply thirty minutes prior to the procedure (which doesn't really work), as well as a machine that blasts cold air onto the surface of your skin during the laser removal (highly recommended because it slightly helps take the sting away). I always mentally prep and brace for the pain. Fortunately, I have been able to drive myself home, but I highly advise that you bring a person along for support and to take you home. This facility does offer a customized payment plan. Laser tattoo removal is agonizing, so I suggest you think about the long-term effects of why you got that tattoo and the latter of why you want it removed because it's an exhausting and pricey process. Ms. Donna works with me, and she is very comforting and genuine. She helped me through this unpleasant process by making it more tolerable. read more

Below you will find their revised and more professional comment. I wish I would have screenshot their initial comment to post on here for all yelpers to read. Therefore, some things may not make sense because the original comment from them is deleted. I still can't believe the business violated HIPPA and disclosed my FULL NAME and part of my confidential records in their initial comment. Original review on February 4: If only I could give a negative for this one! So I went back to talk to the owning doctor February 3 for her to take a look at my underarm. She said there is hyper pigmentation for the areas where the scabs were. She recommended a cream to decrease it and said over time that it will fade. She never said that it will completely go away. She didn't offer a refund. I had to REQUEST it after seeing how my underarm healed. While she is refunding my money, she asks me if I could take down my review because it is damaging to her business. Only one day later after I requested my refund, I see this funny comment on my review. Why is it funny? Because a lot of it is untrue. If you want to go there, go ahead but I would NEVER ever return and would not recommend anyone to go there ever. Why? Because of the way they handled this situation. I wish I would have requested a copy of my records and I would have posted it on here myself. When I called a few days after my last session, I was concerned about how my underarm was looking. The staff just told me "sounds like you have first degree burns. you need to put aloe on it". And that was the end of it. No return call to check up on me or any of that nature. Until the moment I post a review and ask for a refund, then they want to reach out to me. And when I went to the clinic, which was almost THREE FULL WEEKS post treatment, of course my underarms didn't look like the photo I posted. If you read the caption, it says 5 days post treatment. I wish I would have recorded the conversation that I had with the doctor. She told me that the tech was at fault and she addressed the problem with her. But she goes on yelp to say it is my own fault? I didn't do anything different from the 20+ sessions of laser hair removal I have had in the past. It's really embarrassing to have scarring/hyper pigmentation in your underarm area. I'm paying money to make my underarm look better not worse. And Yelp is a way for consumers to decide if they want to go there or not. I just wanted the general public to be aware of what happened to me. That's all. My experience with Inkfree, MD started out great. I purchased a laser hair removal package for my underarms and bikini area and went through the 6 sessions without many complaints. The results were OK and I was pretty satisfied with the outcome. Becca was the technician I had had for all of my 6 sessions and she was great. My trouble with this place started when I went for a touch up appointment after my 6 sessions were over. Becca was not available that day so a different technician was there for my appointment. I told her that I still had some stubborn hair and she informed me that it can take a few more sessions to see better results. During the appointment I could feel that the laser hurt way more than it usually does and I informed her of that. She told me that the pain would go away soon and I should not worry. I told her again after a couple of minutes that the pain does not feel normal and I asked if she had changed the settings. She informed me that she had kept the setting that was there on my chart. After my appointment as I was checking out I felt intense burning pain in both my underarm and bikini areas and told them about it. I was told to just put aloe on it and that they did not see any redness. It hurt to even sit in my car and drive myself home. By the time I got home and checked the areas there were big red bumps and both areas were burning really bad. I had to put more aloe, ice the areas and finally take a pain killer to make the pain tolerable. It took about 4-5 hours for me to be able to get off the couch and walk around without pain. I called them and they said that they would give me the next session for free. This is after I asked for a refund which they declined. I don't even think I will go back for another session. I now have bad scabs on my bikini area and am hoping that there won't be any scarring. It has been 2 whole days and my bikini area still burns. I was asked to go back to the location so they could "inspect" the area. I was in a lot of pain so I asked if they would be able to do anything about the pain if I did go in and was informed that they would only be able to put more aloe on it. They only wanted me to come in so they could inspect and since my private parts are not really for show and tell and I was in a lot of pain I did not go. I am very disappointed by their response and utter disregard for the customer experience. They did not try to fix the situation or offer me any solution to me problem. I am not sure if the technician that performed the service was qualified for it at all. I would recommend this place only if you can get Becca as your technician. Do not even risk having an appointment with anyone else. read more

Update: I went for a consultation with Donna. The clinic is easy to find and has ample parking. The front desk greeted me immediately and explained the whole process. I saw Donna within minutes. This place is super clean and super quiet. There is never a wait if you set an appointment. Their schedules are really on point. They is never a double book. Donna and Jacky always help me out at my appointments. They are genuinely sweet and listens and treat your concern! I come here for hair removal! Each session is super short (5-15 mins) and it stings a little bit but they apply aloe Vera right after the treatment. The pain goes away about 10 mins after for me. The treatment lasts as well! I've been getting a series of laser hair removal treatments here over the last several months. The people are professional and friendly. It's easy and hassle free to get appointments and they provide an email reminder just before the appointment which is convenient. The machine they use is a bit more painful than what I've experienced at other places but they don't use cooling gel. The machine blows cold air instead but that doesn't seem as effective as the gel or ice pads. But overall still a good experience and I would do more treatments with them. read more

I started off here by getting hair removal on my legs (full legs). I had heard such get things about hair removal from friends, and family so I decided to give it a shot. I purchased 3 sessions for my legs, to test it out. It did absolutely nothing to my hair growth. I spoke to my cousin which gets lasered somewhere else, and she told me that its wonderful, so she suggested that I purchase 3 more sessions. I purchased 3 more, and still nothing. After that I didn't purchase anymore legs sessions. Finally, I saw a groupon so I bought it for my underarms. It was a different staff member treating me this time. I told her what happened with my legs, and so put the setting a bit higher, and it worked wonderfully! I am really disappointed that I wasted so much money on my legs. I called to explain the situation to the doctor, but the phone is rarely answered. I also left a message for the doctor, but she never called back. I wasted a lot of money, so definitely do your homework before you go. read more

hair? gone! tattoo? gone! i had hair removed in the male nether regions as well as face and neck. apparently i'm more gun shy about the upper lip than women, but finally did that too. anticipation was much worse than actual removal. i couldn't be happier with results down below and up above. they took detailed notes about size/strength/frequency settings upon each treatment to make sure everything was done correctly and could be modified as needed - based on my own unique hair/skin conditions. i had 1 of my 4 tattoos removed (the other 3 are never going anywhere - i love 'em). same as with the separate hair laser machine, they did an initial treatment and adjusted settings each time afterward, slowly and appropriately. it's gone. never burned or scarred. and they let me come back for a tiny little touchup (i can be picky) for no charge. i met with the doctor initially for each type of treatment, and she did it herself the first time, but all other treatments were done by the very professional staff and i felt comfortable always. and the staff obviously did a fantastic job because my unwanted stuff is gone, and my wanted stuff is still there (hairline on face had to be precise so as not to remove areas i want to keep) i would highly recommend inkfree md to anyone who has compared those big impersonal chains who don't know half as much as these people do. or to anyone who has any trepidation at all (like i did), and don't wait - just do it - you'll be very happy you did. i wish i had done this a long time ago before some of my hair turned gray. ha. oh well. i love everything. and oh by the way, they didn't make me pay for stuff up front. you can pay as you go. read more
