They do a good job being the local counterweight to the endless right-wing drivel from Rush, Bill O, and the horrible music that seems to be off of the same playlist from 2003 including the endless Nickelback songs! KYRS is very eclectic as it is informative. My favorite shows are Democracy Now! and Sonic Trash. The Edge is also a good show too. So if you are ever in the Lilac City and you are struggling to find a halfway decent station, look no further than 92.3 or 88.1 on your FM dial. It's as great as it gets!

Great Local Radio Station With Diversified Format…read more SITREP KOFE (1240 AM) is a great little radio station that sits in the same interior strip mall as the Grub Box. SETUP KOFE broadcasts mainly a "Classic Hits" format, but also features some talk shows as well as news programming from ABC Radio. Run by owner Philip J. Plank and office manager Sherry Janda, it's a sweet little operation that at least gets SOMETHING out on the airwaves in St. Maries if you are not blessed wtih Sirius Radio or a decent CD player. ;^D During lunch/dinner breaks from Fountain Bay Ranch, it's fun to come in, grab a bite to eat and chat with the radio-crew. THE LOWDOWN A good little radio station that does it's thing.
