Title: Poor Communication, Lack of Responsiveness, and Unprofessional Experience…read more I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at South Lake Counseling, particularly regarding communications with therapist Alexia Manning and office manager Jessica Alvarez. I have been requesting a copy of my therapy session notes, which I am legally entitled to receive as part of my medical record. Despite multiple emails and calls explaining that the request was TIME SENSITIVE, I received no clear follow-up, no timeline, and no sense of urgency. I also reached out to the office manager, Jessica Alvarez, and received no response at all, which was very frustrating. To be clear, I was not asking for forms to be completed or changes to diagnoses -- only for my existing records. As a patient, delays in accessing my own medical documentation are extremely stressful and concerning. It also made me feel ignored and unimportant as a client. While my in-session interactions with Alexia were polite, the lack of follow-through has been unacceptable. South Lake Counseling has shown poor responsiveness, poor communication, and a lack of professionalism in handling a very basic and reasonable request. I hope the practice improves its administrative processes and communication, so future clients do not have to go through this.

After 15+ years of being a patient, I can't recommend this practice. Doctor L is a rude,…read morecondescending, demeaning Doctor. I can't get into my health issues but I NEVER met a more rude woman. She should have never been brought back to this practice after she quit. She became even more rude, not only to the staff but now the patients. Dr.C is not much better either. They need to do better, but with such bad attitudes, maybe they'll lose the practice. There are so many Doctors in the Charlotte area, please find someone else that will care.

She was also working with her nurse, and training her on how to do things that need to be done in a very professional manner. Corrective criticism is a good learning tool for anyone and they should be very appreciative when they have a doctor that will work with them in that manner. Any of the nurses should be honored to have someone like Dr Lomboy mentoring them. I will continue using Dr Lomboy as my doctor from here on out.
