I started going to her a few years ago when I was suffering from chronic back and neck pain. Nothing seemed to help my back pain. I went to a chiropractor, accupuncture, other massage therapists, physical therapy, you name it. I would feel better for an evening or two, and then the specter would return. But the thing that finally made the muscles in my neck and back calm down, and let me live a little, was a series of massages from Julia Taylor. I went through six sessions over a couple months. Julia was able to teach my muscles, that it was going to be alright, and they could just relax, and get strong and healthy again. She's everything anyone could ever want in a massage therapist: kind, gentle-hearted, professional, intuitive. Perhaps my favorite thing about Julia is how quick she is to respond to email requests, often squeezing me in the next day. (I've emailed her more than once when I've tweaked something in my neck or back and sent her a desperate "Help! I know you're busy, but I need you!" email.) She's been able to "read" my body like no one I've ever met, and she always comes into a session knowing what we'd worked on the past few times. I've recommended her to friends, and they've all gone back to her repeatedly. Her prices are quite reasonable - $85 for a 75 minute session; $100 for 90 minutes. She also frequently runs package specials - get on her email list to find out about these. Be warned - she usually runs a little long with her sessions. It might wreak a little havoc on your schedule, but who can complain about a few extra minutes of massage? Honestly, she's good enough that, should I ever move out of Philly, I'd come back just to see her.

Wife was taken to a different room and she was given pregnancy pillows. Many pillows. I saw her after her massage and she said she enjoyed the massage very much. My massage was very relaxing. Pressure was perfectly adjusted to my liking. Mellow music. In fact I went off to sleep in the end. Judy was kind to not wake me up. She always seems to know what is wrong before I open my mouth, but she always holds space for me within her loving glow. I have broken down into tears before getting on the table, had massive physical releases, and healed in ways I thought weren't possible. She has guided me through deep emotional trauma as well as physical trauma (I had abdominal surgery to remove 15 tumors in 2016). I will say it's not all glitter and romance, there are often hard lessons to be learned and dealt with, and they can be difficult (but always necessary) and she guides you through it with light and love.
