If you are looking to start a new career in home inspections or want your staff to brush up on construction and residential systems - take this class. During the two week program you are given all the information you need to build a house from the foundation up! All systems such as electric, plumbing, HVAC are presented as they relate to home inspecting. As you are learning all the components of the home you are learning how to identify defects and safety issues. The program is presented live online and recorded for later review, as needed. There is a lot of information to cover in two weeks but each topic is thoroughly covered. The only change I would have liked is if there were more time to have more interactive opportunities throughout the class especially during discussions on electric and HVAC systems. You do have the opportunity to ask questions but I think some of us could have benefitted from further discussion. The presenters are awesome...looking at you Bob and Eddie! This course provides a lot of information and you will use it all to successfully pass the final exam and you will feel like you accomplished something! It also prepares you to pass the InterNachi and/or state licensing exam. The online version of the academy leaves nothing behind. I had concerns taking the home inspector course during the covid 19 pandemic, as I thought some things just couldn't be accurately demonstrated over zoom- WRONG! The curriculum and materials along with the expert level instructors were more than enough to build the foundation required for entry into this career. Leading into ride along with home inspectors, the whole process is shown to and experienced by the student. Really thorough. More over, the entire academy has been great. I've not had to wait long for response on anything along the way, the platform is user friendly and you can tell it's really the goal of staff at IGo to ensure students are ready to be in the top 10% of inspectors, right out of the gate. I've already recommended 2 friends to the academy and will continue to do so! The resources they make available here pretty much guarantee that you'll be successful if you are willing to work hard- and you will. My learning experience with I Go Academy was great! The instructors of the virtual classes are all experienced and current in their fields. They care about their students and want them to succeed. The numerous inspection videos were very helpful. Also, having an opportunity to accompany inspectors during the four ride-alongs was very beneficial.
