They are very knowledgeable about the area and always had a smile on their face. The room itself was very clean. I stayed on the second floor (which is the third floor to Americans) in a room with 4 beds. Inside the room there was a sink and lockers. With the lockers and a key card to get into the room, I felt pretty secure and my belongings were pretty secure. The toilets and showers are on the same floor. The shower area also had a bank of hair dryers- which was convenient. They had a big area to lounge around, a bar/restaurant area, and a laundry/kitchen area. Washers and dryers are available for a small fee. They only have two of each, so you have get to them early. They'll give you a map upon check-in which gives some suggestions on walking trails. The location is just a short walk into town. The area was very safe and quiet. I thought this was a very nice hostel to stay at and highly recommend YOHO to anyone staying in Salzburg. Very affordable also- especially if you book in advance online.

When we dropped off our bags early, we checked in to find they had already been brought to our room. This was my first hint that this wasn't your average hotel. The room was huge and comfortable and homey (the bowl of walnuts was a nice touch). The heated bathroom floors were perfect for the chilly winter evenings. The rain shower was luxurious. Oh and did I mention they had an expresso machine in the room? I also loved the old radio and little library of books in the room. My boyfriend and I turned on some Christmas music, drank some beer we brought from Brussels and it was perfect. On Christmas Eve they had a little reception for the guests and gave personalized gifts to every family staying at the hotel. The morning breakfast had a huge variety of organic items. There were cheese plates galore, fresh squeeze juices, breads, cakes, you name it. I felt like royalty. Our stay here was the best hotel experience I have ever had, and I was sad to leave. If I have any complaint, it's that the hotel was so comfortable I probably spent more time in it and less time exploring the City than I should have! If I ever find myself back in Salzburg, there is no doubt I will find myself here again.
