They are noticeably more HIPPA compliant as of earlier this month when I came for my yearly checkup. My information was safeguarded while checking in. After years of seeing the same Dr, she retired so I am now seeing someone different. I first saw Dr Eckert after I came home after a vacation in Mexico. I had developed a weird patch of redness down my arm. No discomfort or anything but color change. Turns out tequila and lime juice (okay just the lime juice) can turn your skin a different color when UV is introduced into the mix! He got a kick outta seeing that on me after hearing I had been to Mexico. After that pleasant experience I decided he'd be the new yearly Dr for me. He was thorough, polite, informative and answered all my questions. My husband had a spot show up randomly and they were able to get him seen within three days. I'd certainly recommend this place for skin care needs. I still use the in house step two acne cream and my adult hormonal acne is at bay. read more

I only have positive things to say about this place! My family has been coming here for decades, we have each been to Drs. and PAs throughout the office. Everyone is very friendly and timely. I've never been to a medical office that actually gets you in on time and doesn't leave you waiting for an extended period of time in the room. I didn't get to see a real doctor so I still have no clue what this rash on my back is. I was rushed in and rushed out. Saw a PA named Christopher. He was nice but didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. Very disappointing. Even though I didn't get to see a real doctor the billing price was not less. I was billed for a real doctor's exam. If I pay for a doctor's service, I should receive a doctor's service. Don't you agree? I would not recommend you to go here. I will not go back. read more

This place does not do time management well. A waste of time. I took someone who is handicapped in for an appointment and was 4 minutes late, and they said they could not do the appointment because they did not have 30 minutes. If they are on this much of a time frame, I don't think they have the time to really spend with you and address your needs. Maybe you shouldn't schedule clients that close together. Great staff, great service, five stars highly recommend. I've been going here for about a year for my psorasis. I like everyone and everything about this location, I've had my psoriasis under control thanks to the guidance of the staff and the prescription Humera. I love their new medspa. Kelsey, Luanne, Dawn and Chris Thompson are the best. Luanne performed my Morpheus laser which is the best procedure I have had done in 5 years, Kelsey did the hydra facial and peel and Chris Thompson injected my lips. I took a disabled family member to see Dr. Chris Thompson for wart removal on his hands. He freeze-sprayed each wart and sent us on our way with no explanation of the procedure beforehand or what to expect during recovery, and no standard print-out of discharge instructions for home care until the follow up appointment. My family member was in absolutely excruciating pain for 2-3 days. He likened the sensation to 100 angry hornets continuously stinging his hands, and the pain started immediately in the car as we drove home. Dr. Thompson's staff told us to just use over-the-counter topical lidocaine products to alleviate the discomfort. None of those products worked, and my family member suffered tremendously for a couple of days. During our follow up appointment 2 weeks later, Dr. Thomas walked in, picked up the freeze-spray can and intended to redo the procedure when I stopped him and told him about the pain issue. His first reaction? "I'm not writing a prescription for opioids." Really?! Not once did we ask for pills. I repeated myself s-l-o-w-l-y, and told him we need a prescription strength topical product called into our pharmacy if we are going to do this again. He refused, and told me no such product exists that insurance would cover. We opted to leave with no further treatment. Chris Thompson appears to behave in a predatory manner, focusing on shuttling his customers in and out while spending as little time as possible with them to make as much insurance profit as possible without any information about the procedure, and no communication as to what to expect, and then when confronted about it, responds with a condescending attitude. This place is horrible. We'll NEVER be back. read more

Today i visited Dr Ecker for my skin cancer evaluation and some tips for keeping me young. Let me start by saying the office is brand new. New equipment everywhere and fish to keep you busy in the waiting room. The entire staff was professional and friendly. Dr Ecker is the best dermatologist I have visited in CT. He's also the tallest. I have never looked younger nor have I ever received so many compliments on my skin. My facial and peel were performed by Kelsey (who is outstanding) and for Restylane in my cheeks and tear troughs. Each time except for the facial I have seen Luanne Hespeler, who is absolutely fabulous. She is extremely knowledgeable in what she does. With that knowledge she is able to recommend and explain different options in order to get the results you're looking for. She's a fantastic listener, kind, considerate, generous, she genuinely cares about her patients and giving them the results they are hoping for. She even gave me her cell phone number after my first fractora treatment. Just to make sure I get a hold of her if something didn't feel right. Honestly who does that anymore? I was amazed! I went in for a yearly skin check. This place was referred to me by my doctor. I have auburn hair, green eyes and TONS of freckles and moles and I used to go tanning when I was a teenager so I am concerned now that I'm older. The doctor, I believe her name was Luanne, literally rubbed down my entire body for about 2 minutes. I showed her some of the spots I was concerned about and she barely looked at them. Two of them she looked at with a dusty, dirty microscope. I also had one on my face that I was concerned about and she said "oh it must be a brand new kera-something or other" and I said ".....I've had it for 7 years and it's slowly been getting bigger" she says "oh. Then it must be an old scar"....on a place on my face that has never been cut. I believe that they care more about Botox and fillers than they do about the health of their patients. I honestly believe that they are putting people's lives at risk here and I will be seeking a second opinion. I was suffering from painful blisters on my lips that I thought was from a prescription that was prescribed for a surgery. Luanne was my physician and not only looked at my condition but took samples and asked a lot of questions. The first diagnosis wasn't correct but treated as she continued to find the answer to why this was happening. She didn't dismiss my concerns. She is amazing! Our son has a cyst. Met with a lady nurse who said they could do the removal and they would schedule it. 3 weeks later no word we called. They had no record we had even been there so we had to start over. We went in for another appointment and they discovered that since our 3 year old is less than 10 years old so they cannot do it. Couldn't be happier! I went to have a skin cancer screening and received so much more. The staff were all so friendly and I was seen in a very timely manner. I barely sat down when they called my name. The PA that did my screening was very nice and helpful with all my questions and gave me information to take home about some of the lumps and bumps that had been appearing on my aging skin. When he asked if I had any other concerns I mentioned the dark spots on my face from sun damage. I have tried some pretty expensive creams in the past but he assured me if I used their cream, twice a day, I would see them lighten up. Well, within two weeks there was a noticible difference and after a month they are almost gone! I am so impressed I had to write this review. I thought it would require very expensive laser treatments to get these results. I had at least ten spots and now only 2 of the darkest remain and they are so pale my makeup completely hides them. My experience with Integrated Dermatology and Dr. Ecker has been one of the worst medical experiences of my life. I have been experiencing severe itching and blistering on my hands and feet. For four months, I have visited Dr. Ecker at least twice a month to become a human dartboard. He throws different creams, pills, blood work and biopsies at me and hopes something sticks. The office called me in early for an appointment. I left work early, made the commute and then proceeded to sit in their office for 50 minutes for my turn. The office staff lied about sending my blood work to a local lab. It was timestamped twenty minutes after I called the office to complain that I was at the lab and my paperwork was not. I asked for a call back the next day from Dr. Ecker and he never returned my call. When my lab results were in, the PA called and told me I was being referred to Yale Dermatology. A week has passed and I have not heard from them either. This practice is more concerned with collecting money and seeing how long they can string you along while they try to guess what may be ailing you. Don't waste your time or your money. read more
