ONE STAR I contacted…read morethis chiropractor to seek medical care for my back issues. I informed them that I would be self-pay, paying in full at every visit. That means that they would be paid in full after each visit, I would receive my services, and each party would have received their part. The receptionist was very persistent about whether or not I was in an auto accident and I explained that I did not understand why that was such an important issue if I am paying in full at each visit. I would understand if I was not paying in full at each visit and they needed to know if an insurance company was paying them but that was not the case. If I received a strained back because I was in the yard playing football with my child or if I was in an auto accident the care would be the same. I informed the receptionist that I was in an auto accident but was strictly seeking treatment and was not sure if I wanted to pursue a claim or not. I informed her that I was concerned that since I stated that I was in an auto accident that they would charge me alot more money and due to being self-pay that is a valid concern. The receptionist stated that if I paid them in full and decided to pursue a claim in the future then they would not give me my medical records. I'M PRETTY SURE THAT IT IS ILLEGAL TO HOLD SOMEONE'S MEDICAL RECORDS STRICTLY BECAUSE THEY WERE IN AN AUTO ACCIDENT AND CHOSE TO PAY IN FULL AT THE TIME OF THE VISIT. I have been in this same situation before where I was in an auto accident, paid a chiropractor in full at the time of service, and I had no problem obtaining my medical records. This chiropractor came off as very shady and appeared to strictly care about pursuing auto claims to inflate charges opposed to providing treatment for patients that need treatment.

It run's that way because she hires only the best. Kathy's office manager Mica, and her assistant Abby are always friendly and professional. They take our insurance for both adjustments, and massage therapy. Her and her staff seem to have the whole insurance thing down to a science. They have several rooms with different style adjustment tables. One table takes you from a vertical standing position, gently lowers you to a horizontal face down position, and then back again for patients with limited mobility. She currently has two massage therapists; Jennifer, and Kristin who are both highly qualified. They have two private and very relaxing massage rooms in the back. My wife and I have our personal preference, but try them both out and see who works best for you. Both Deana and I highly recommend Lighthouse Family Chiropractic. So if your Chiropractor isn't living up to your expectations, tired of feeling like you're going through an assembly line, or your billing's always messed up, give Dr. Kathy's office a call.
