I myself am a Realtor for 10+ years and a Floridian 7th generation. We have been lied to since day one, pulled around like a puppy on a heavy chain. We were never suggested to do the normal things to help the process until the end and only after I asked. We were told repeatedly piece of cake and no problem to get you in this home. We had to extend our contract two different times (thank God for a nice Seller). Still, with no proof of expiditing the process as needed to fit into a timeframe. They had 3 weeks to achieve. We were assured over and over and over we would be good to close and this dream home was ours. With less than a week before it was suppose to close she came back and stated we were not clearing, then they asked the appraiser to do three different adjustments to the appraisal (appraiser shared his concern as he thought we are being jerked around). Then we were "approved", had to extend again another week (thank God for a nice Seller) then We and the Title company were told OVER and Over in email and verbally we had the clear to close. My husband and I jumped in the car went to drive to the house (final walk through) and were called on our way, just to be told we again were not cleared to close (on the last day of the allowed extention date). Lies and empty promises were supplied yet again. We are out $10,000+ (NO LIE) thanks to the Newrez/Calibur agents and their unethical practices. Now, We went with a new lender that I KNOW is solid and the appraisal was not transferred over to the new lender until today, one week and one day after requesting, and they had the graciousness(sarcasm) to send over an appraisal with a balance they did not pay for. I wrote the CEO/President of the company and plan to let EVERYONE I know (which is a helk of a lot of people to stay away from these thieves). None of my buyers will EVER use this company. I am being more than gracious in not using her name just FYI, Thomas!!

Their main branch is now 783 south orange ave, sarasota, Fl Only the 8000 block of Tamiami and the branch on university avenue still exist today and both have the First Horizon signage. NOW in February 2022, First Horizon bank announced they were acquired by TD Bank a MUCH larger bank. When the name again changes, I don't know. But the MAIN office is now at 783 Orange Ave in downtown Sarasota, Fl. THIS location on Orange has the best staff. 5 stars. I opened all my accounts here plus a large security box when they were still Iberia. Gracious and EXTREMELY accommodating. All staff have remained The other branch on the 8000 block on Tamiami receives a single star. I have given up and only use the ATM there.
