WE had a storage unit whereas several of our items had been smoked from a proximate fire. Intek took the job and was able to cure several of the items.. They were always fast in responding to working around moving items back to storage and any other questions we had in the process. It snowed 4 inches the night before so I was not looking forward to the potential mess of the techs. I thought the little booties would fall apart from all the wet snow and they would be tracking through the house. It DIDN'T happen. They were awesome. Showed up on time, wore the booties when they were in the house and they helped me clear away the areas in front of the vents. Cleaned everything really well. I vacuum my return vents but I was surprised by how much dog hair was in the main floor return. I was very impressed with how well they cleaned everything. It was my first duct cleaning also and the price was very reasonable. I am hoping it helps with allergies. I highly recommend Intek. read more

I just had Intek at my house for a small sewer back up caused by street construction that collapsed the sewer pipe in the street. Ray and his partner were very professional and had me taken care of in short time. Had Intek do our duct cleaning and the technician did a wonderful job -- easy to schedule around and did great work in reducing the dust and debris in our vents. The 3-star comes from the billing process. Though the bill hadn't been paid yet, they would NOT honor a clearly mass-produced coupon for a pretty minimal amount despite the fact that I hadn't settled my invoice yet. Seemed pretty goofy and arbitrary to not honor a coupon from a heavily circulated, free publication distributed citywide. They claimed that it needed to be physically presented prior to work being done, which is indicated nowhere on the coupon itself. Unfortunately for that reason, I won't be working with Intek again and don't particularly recommend them. Bummed it ended this way! read more

My daughter's house was structure by lighting in September of 2018. The fire department was excellent and quickly extinguished the fire using very little water. INTEK was called and contracted to do smoke and odor removal, cleaning and restoration. They needed to rebuild a couple of walls, replace siding, sheet rock, texture and paint. Two weeks went by before they were able to start on the job. They didn't bring out any fans or ozone machines to the house to remove the smokey smells during this time. The restoration was a nightmare. We never knew when they were going to show up or how many days a week. When they did show up, it was for about 5 hours, less an hour for lunch and breaks. Very poor communication between the project manager, the restoration crew and cleaning crew. No one knew what was going on or what the schedule was. When the project manager was called he said he wasn't sure what was going on as he had been to the house for weeks. Had to rebuild the wall once, as it was done wrong, but that was okay because "we get paid by the hour" (heard this more than once). The whole project, which took 3 MONTHS was very frustrating. When they were completely done, my daughter and husband had to paint around the door frames, which weren't painted "because the trim will cover that", paint scratches on the ceilings, fill in gouges in the woodwork and fill in around the ceiling can lights because the sheetrock holes were cut too big.
