It has been a few weeks since moving to Lexington, and I had a hard time finding a place to get my facial treatment since I am particularly picky regarding skin care. Yesterday was my last day off for the week. My acne has worsened these past few weeks, so I invested time in looking at local establishments that offer facial treatments and those with plenty of positive reviews from their clients. My only way of knowing a place that's good is based on their reviews...really. This shop caught my attention, from its great reviews from their clients and its catchy name. I call myself a wanderlust(er). It was a sign from the universe (lol) that I needed to book an appointment for acne treatment at this place. And so I did! I chose acne boot camp treatment with Madi. Before this appointment, I had never had treatment specifically targeting acne. I had several sessions of microdermabrasion before, which were so great for my skin overall. I was ready to get my facial treatment done (I like to pamper myself once in a while) Madi was knowledgeable throughout the session and asked pertinent questions about my skincare, products and things that caused acne! I thoroughly enjoyed my almost-hour session with her, and she sent me a list of things to avoid to prevent further irritation to my sensitive skin. She also sent some samples of products that she thinks might work for my skin and helps with the breakouts. I am setting up another appointment with Madi for my acne peel treatment in 2-3 weeks, and I can not wait! I highly recommend this place for its services--top-notch! I would say. I moved from LA 1.5 months ago and was a bit bereft of having a great aesthetician to fall back on. Thank god I found her! I actually don't really want to write this, just to be able to keep her a secret for myself, but everyone should know how incredible her services are. I have rebooked twice in two months which speaks for itself. I'm also treating my Mum and sister to a facial there when they visit from the UK later in the year. Wednesday morning i was advised there was some flexibility for sunday. I almost immediately replied that i was available anytime Sunday. I didnt hear anything else Wednesday so Thursday morning i replied asking for the earliest available on Sunday. Still hadnt heard anything by early evening Thursday so i replied again asking if there was a better way to coordinate an appt. By 9pm Thursday night i was growing impatient because i had other things pending that i needed to schedule but was waiting to confirm a time that i could work around so i messaged again asking of we could please confirm a time for Sunday. I did not hear anything back until Friday night at 930pm when I received a message " Tomorrow 6:30 pm ? thank you for your patience". The whole week i was advised of Sunday availability and left sunday open trying to coordinate the appt. At 930pm on a friday i am told of 630pm Sat. I was beyond frustrated. I was so excited when i found this place on google and read the amazing reviews and to go through what i went through trying to set an appt the whole week to end up with nothing was extremely disappointing. My question about a better way to coordinate appts was ignored so my reply was that i no longer had availability for the weekend after trying to set something all week and that if there was a better way to communicate then i would reach out when my schedule was a little more open (im currently battling breast cancer and have a busy schedule with appts) and if there was no better way to communicate then i was unfortunately no longer interested. I received no reply. No apologies for the poor communication. No information on an easier way to schedule. I dont understand how a business is rated so well if that is how potential clients are treated.
