Update on Inter City Towing Experience ....so after being dispatched to our flat tire service call and making us wait 7 1/2 hours total ....the driver finally shows up and yawns as he gets out of truck then nonchalantly says hey I apologize....I fell asleep about 4 1/2 hours ago after we spoke and I told you I was five minutes away to fix your flat and I just woke up. Then he discloses that he does not have a tire jack ....and our car service request was a flat tire service request call !! So my wife asked the driver hey isn't that kind of irresponsible to show up 7 1/2 hours later to a flat tire service request with no tire jack and his shrugs and shoulders and says oh yeah I guess so . Ultimately, forcing us to have a car towed instead of just putting on the spare tire . Unbelievably unacceptable, pure trash, towing company !!! read more

You DO NOT want this company coming to your aid. We waited 3.5 hours of having endless ETA go from 120 minutes, 45, back to 120... and then down to 30 just to eventually jump back up to 109 minutes yet again. It was extremely evident that this company was accepting the request from AAA, and then getting it in their cue dock to decide they didn't want to come to the economy lot at LAX (which is no where near the downtown traffic at 3 am). AAA literally had to transfer our service request to a reliable company from Whittier over forty five minutes away. Extremely frustrating and beyond disappointing service for a company only 10 miles away. Classic car owners beware! These morons blew up my transmission and are trying to stonewall me on fixing it. I requested AAA service to take my truck from my house to the shop for radiator replacement. These guys picked it up with their stinger and threw it in gear after, totally shaved off and sheered pieces inside my transmission. It won't park in the exact spot they picked it up from. It won't event park in first or reverse. The car mechanic called me asking why it wouldn't park when it got there. I called to try and report it and the torta they got answering phones blocked my number. TLDR THESE GUYS BLEW MY CLASSIC CHEVY'S TRANSMISSION THAT WAS JUST REBUILT AND BLOCKED MY NUMBER. Honestly it physically pains me to give them 1 star, I would like to give them negative infinity for the appalling "service" I received from them. My car needed a tow and after waiting for 3 hours for this guy he suddenly laughs and blocks me without even telling me cancelled (see attachment) with my classic car (after reading another review on here it seems they're not good with classic cars). Not to mention this is his area of expertise and he didn't know how to get through one road closure. At the very least had he said he couldn't do it and he was sorry it would've been fine, but the fact that he blocked me and said nothing. Absolutely horrendous communication and no service provided. AAA contracts this company out and we were stranded in DTLA at midnight with this company NEVER coming. We got roadside assistance elsewhere and even though I called to cancel the request as it was unneeded at that point when we were able to go home at 2am, tell me why I got a call at 5:30am from this place, saying they're on the way? They claimed there was a glitch in the system, but I'm not sure why they didn't bother to call AAA first about the request? Not only did they keep us in the literal dark for hours with empty promises, but then they ruined my sleep after a stressful night. Saved the day! I was involved in a low speed fender bender, near downtown LA. I was on my way home to the SF Bay Area, with near 350 miles to go. Horrible visions of how, logistically, I'd get the car repaired filled my head. More importantly, how was I going to get home? ICT came up as a recommended provider, through AAA. Driver arrived quickly, beating the CHP, to the side of the highway. He was determined to get me home, that night. When the crowbar proved inadequate, I was hooked up and towed to their yard, where a couple other guys were waiting. Three guys, a chain, hydraulic jack, and some zip ties later had me road worthy. If there was an option for negative five stars, I'd do it in a heart beat. In short, AVOID AVOID AVOID! If you value your time after any car mishap... AVOID THIS COMPANY. This is by far THE WORST tow truck "company" I've EVER come into contact with. They are liars! They are Unprofessional! They kept giving us the run around and different arrival times. Each time I'd call for an update, they'd switch their arrival time. I later figured out why. The driver that's supposed to be "in route" to me would take another job all while claiming to be in route to my location. Had they been honest, we would've canceled...but we thought they were on their way. Waited for 4 hours. Rude, inconsiderate, UNPROFESSIONAL, should not own a business. If I could, I would give this company ZERO stars. To make a long story short, I waited a total of three hours for this company to tow my car. The ETA kept getting pushed back & the company never reached out to me to check on me or anything. They called once to get my location which should have been relayed by AAA but whatever . Please be aware before requesting services from this company. I'd look at other options before settling with Inter City Towing. Plus I was stuck on a bad side of town & people were coming up to my car so that just made the experience even WORSE. Last Sunday, after waiting over five hours for the first tow company AAA assigned me--who never showed up--Wong (Wang?) from Inter City Tow finally arrived. That midnight by the beach was freezing, my car wouldn't start, and after waiting so long with no show from the other company, my phone was also about to die. I was truly frustrated. AAA eventually sent Inter City Tow, and Wong even arrived earlier than the ETA AAA provided. Seeing that I was cold, he first let me sit in his truck to warm up while he carefully and professionally secured the car to the tow truck, checked everything multiple times. He then towed my car to the designated location smoothly, without any issues or drama. I am very grateful for his professionalism and empathy--his help was both skilled and humane in a stressful roadside situation. I sincerely appreciate Wong's help. read more

Inexperienced driver, without proper equipment, tried to move my motorcycle without my help, dropped it, damage engine guards, pannier box and helmet. So far about $2500-$2700 in damages. AAA said the company would contact me by 03/20. So far no contact. Driver only had two tie downs so I had to go buy two from O'Reilly auto parts. Driver was nice and apologetic. He was very inexperienced and poorly equipped. Driver claims company makes him buy his own equipment, such as tie downs and other stuff! Spoke with the tow company today. Mgr Wendy said one of her staff would call me and arrange a time to look at the damage. Dupree called me a short time later. He came out around 2:45, looked at the damage. He told me to go get the estimate, send them the bill and they'll take care of it, including helmet replacement. read more

Zero stars!! I never knew I could be so appalled and disappointed in a tow truck company but here we are. I called AAA to have my car towed about four blocks away to a muffler shop. After two days of them saying they were going to arrive and then not coming, they finally showed. Inter City Towing. Firstly, when the tow truck driver got into my car to roll it back he broke the front seat. The whole back of the seat went completely flat. He joked that he must need to lose some weight. He then proceeded to load the car up on a flat bed and drive it the short quick distance to the muffler shop. I was about five minutes behind him to follow him there. When I arrive, a woman comes out of her house across the street with another guy and yells that the tow truck driver messed up my car. She saw the whole thing happen and he doesn't know what he's doing. When he stopped, it hit the front of the flatbed hard twice because it wasn't tied down properly in the back. Sure enough my flip up lights on my super cool 1984 300 ZX are now crunched and popped up and will not close. The nose of the frame is bent, and there were little chips on the bumper and paint. The driver unloaded and took off. We immediately called AAA because surely this is something covered by them. They directed us to deal with the tow company directly, which is another really disappointing factor on AAA's part. After reaching out to inter-city towing several times and not getting a call back or email back. Basically being ignored. Then going on their yelp and seeing all the other people that are so frustrated with how they do business and straight up lie. We actually finally went down to the location and were able to get a managers contact. This actually seemed positive since the Manager did get back to us and asked for more information, but now he is telling us that there's nothing he can do and that it's just been denied by their GM that they had no wrongdoing and it is impossible that damage was done by them. I already paid the $400 to get my seat fixed and figured that was a wash because I need to drive the car. But the estimate of 4K in total for the front end damage is not something I can just walk away from since I was gearing up to sell my classic baby and the value tanked. I feel completely gaslit by these jerks. Are you telling me your driver doesn't even admit to breaking my seat??? This was so clearly their fault and with the addition of to two witnesses, I'm going to take them to small claims court. I've never done this before and really don't have the time to, but I'm not going to let them get away with this. They can't just get away with screwing people over. If only INTER CITY TOWING was a half way decent company to begin with. Please save yourself the drama and headache of this company and use someone else. The WORST! No show after 4+ hours and 4 separate delays. Original call placed before 2am. At 5:30 (10min before they were set to arrive and the 3rd delay), they updated the eta to 7:24am !? Then they ended up cancelling the service all together. I have record of these times and text messages. Note: I used AAA like many other ppl that have left a review. Should AAA use this company-- of course not (that's a separate issue). However, after over 4+ hours of waiting I was at back at square one due to this shady company. They should have never taken on the dispatch call or should have been upfront about the wait. HORRENDOUS! I searched every reasonable explanation why we received such poor service from this company who was referred to us by AAA. I want to say they are just incompetent in every aspect but they are also rude, and unhelpful. I called so many times and they hardly ever answered the phone and when they did they rudely hung up as I was politely trying to inquire and get information about my car. The insurance adjuster was also being given the run around. Reclaiming the car was an arduous process. They kept telling us they didn't have the car, and made it very difficult for the insurance adjuster to examine the car after the accident. Their service was extremely poor and slow. I waited 2+ hours for a dispatch to finally call & confirm it would take another 30 minutes to arrive -- I only needed a one mile tow! The status updates were unreliable from their part, constantly bouncing between dispatch drivers who hadn't even left their station until I called repeatedly to follow up.
