They also have a good range of confectionary. The shop could do with a revamp as it is a bit old. They also have a classified section in their window for second hand goods etc.

Colemans is one of the most recognised stationery stores. This store is a large shop just around…read morethe corner from the main pedestrianized area of Kettering and sells any item of stationery that you could possibly want. The store is well presented and it is not difficult to find what you are looking for, but I find that the staff are really helpful and are more than happy to show you where items are if you are stuck. For items such as envelopes and folders they are expensive, and you can find the same type of items in Wilkinsons which is just 30 seconds down the road, but for other items such as specific pen refills and specialised items, Colemans are the only places that sell them so this store is invaluable. The store is situated very close to the bus stops in Kettering, but there is also parking nearby in Montagu Street if you can get a space as it gets busy.

It really is a one -stop shop and they have a huge range of magazines, including specialist ones that are difficult to find elsewhere, as well as newspapers, sweets, stationary and cards. This is also where the main post office is too - so expect big queues around peak times. I usually go around 3 or 4pm if I can, and find that the queues have pretty much disappeared by then. A really handy shop, with friendly, helpful staff. A huge asset to the town and a shop many of us cannot do without!

They also offer a home delivery service which is reliable and well run. The staff in the shop are friendly and helpful, as are the counter staff in the ever-busy post office. Access to the shop is good, if a little tight in places, access to the post office part can be difficult in a buggy/wheelchair due to the queueing barriers they have in place, but they at least can be moved if necessary.

Although the outside of this post office looks very small, it's actually quite large inside. They stock a large amount of goods from cards to food items as well as the usual lottery cards and essentials. If you live in the village the staff are very welcoming ( I assume they are if you don't live in the village aswell!), they call you by name and are happy to have a good natter. Outside this post office they have a very active noticeboard which tells you everything that is going on in Oakley, from people offering to do small jobs to group meets etc. This is the quietest post office that I know of!

Colemans is different from most 'normal' stationary stores as it not only has a range of paper and pens etc it also has quite a large craft section comprising of fancy card, rubber stamps, punches etc. This particular Colemans is quite small at only around 4 metres wide, but it is quite a long shop. I also wouldn't deem it as accessible because there is a very small space between the wall and the middle section of shelving. Although the staff are very helpful so i'm sure they wouldn't mind helping anyone in difficulty out. I tend to find Colemans quite expensive but they do often have special offers and they do their own version of a student card.

Coleman's has retained several people for a long time and they certainly know their business. This shop stocks a number of items that just aren't available anywhere else in Bedford. I am partially disabled and do not find the small shop difficult to use. I have no personal interest other than wanting good service.

What a refreshing change to find a shop all about service and not just sales. Small store but I would travel to go here.
