They literally play EVERYTHING on this station from Classic Rock, Funk, Blues, Hip Hop, and Alternative all entirely commercial free. They rely solely on donations from listeners who have had enough of crappy commercial radio. It is such a Killer venue for incredible music that I find myself writing this Review for this one-of-a-kind Amazing Radio Station. Come And Get Your Tunes On!!

You can hear everything from reggae, to metal, to alternative, to stuff you have never been able to imagine on one radio station during any given time of the day. and it's daily programming varies during the week, so it's very safe to say that hearing the same thing twice throughout a week can be a very rare occurrence. These college students are also very informed on daily happening, and as John P. says they do have a listing of daily happenings that they read throughout the day. In short this station is the best in Philadelphia because it always has something different to check out and can go well beyond the norm.

I listened to WKDU yesterday for about five hours, and while what they played was all over the place, it was awesome across the board. Ok, there were a couple female singer/songwritery selections that I booed and hissed at, but I guess I have to remember it *is* a college station. No commercials, limited DJ interruptions. Add to that the fact that at 8AM they are serenading me with psych rock, and you have my new favorite discovery.

They discuss great topics in sports and bring out the spirit of Philadelphia every delightful afternoon in the Philadelphia Region. I am a loyal fan- However..... very excited as a first time caller, i got put on hold for an hour and 20 minutes waiting to talk about the stress of watching the Phillies this season. I had a great dialogue and multiple interesting topics on hand ready to discuss. And I just got left in the wind. Forgotten about. They stated talking about Doritos omelettes and fat people and got off topic and completely forgot about me. I am disappointed.

When I called to get information about when I should receive it, i discov that membership "services" is only open 9-2. I guess they think all their subscribers are independently wealthy or retired! Anyway, when I called back to the central switchboard, they sent me without a word ba k to member services--which they clearly knew, or should have known, was closed. When I called bac to ask who I could talk to, they let it ring for about min before hang up. Takeaways: don't expect you passport to go through until it's convenient for them, don't expect to be able to get member services unless you are free during work hours, don't expect service from member "services."

Running on donations and offering music and downloads for support, Ynot is an incredible source for music you wont find elsewhere. Singer/songwriter and alternative new contemporary music along with unique interviews and other entertaining shows offered. I love this station so much I cant listen to any other. I hope people learn what a great source it is and help keep it running.
