My visit was in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, and as foreign traveling surfers most locals were uneasy around us to say the least, some places were completely forbidden to us, it was not the usual, hospitable Oaxaca we all know. However, when we got to the restaurant, we were greeted and warmly welcomed in and told to have a seat while we waited, he was finishing up our order. Turns out the owner was from Texas, very friendly and welcoming, kind person. Look forward to returning for more carnitas in April! Terrible. Menu is huge. I ordered the almond MAHI MAHI. Looked great when it came out but when I…read moretook a bite I could tell the fish was old. I couldn't even swallow. I told the waitress and she talked to the manager about it for a solid 5 minutes. Like what is there to discuss? It is inedible. I ordered a different entre with beef. The manager told me her would take my sides off my current plate and give me a portion of beef instead. I said that was fine. He brought out the steak which was tasty but the salad was old and rotten, the potatoes tasted strange to say the least. We were charged for my more expensive fish plate even though I didn't eat the fish nor the sides and ate half of the beef. Will never return here and you would be wise to not either.
