My husband did his homework before buying tires for my vintage car. The tires that had been on the…read morevehicle were close to but not the same size as the original tires. This lead to my speedometer not reading accurately and the tires getting some rub. After determining the correct size my husband decided he really wanted Firestone tires. Our local tire shop doesn't carry Firestone so we opted to try Michel Tires Plus in Louisville. The process went quite smooth. My husband ordered the tires and set an appointment for the following week to have the tires installed and balanced. The business also does an inspection at the same time for brake wear and several other mechanical functions. On the day we dropped the car off the tire shop kept in touch with a slight delay in when the vehicle would be ready. (Only about an hour later than had been originally indicated). We are happy as can be with the new tires and how the car drives. We also were happy with the price and the savings we got by getting their charge card. I would have given the business five stars but they indicated we would be needing a new battery in the near future. Based on that information my husband ordered a battery from an auto shop and then did some checking. It turns out we didn't need a battery at all so my husband had to cancel the battery he had ordered. Although you only need so many tires I can imagine that we would give Michel Tires Plus repeat business.

I drove the vehicle around for an hours hoping the alternator would charge the battery. When I turned off the car it wouldn't start again. The young man inside explained they were not allowed to change the battery because of liability issues. The next morning one of the gentlemen came out and assisted me with changing the battery when I got stuck a few times. If you have any simple vehicle issues I would strongly recommend them as your first stop.

Another well-known place that I used to go generally seems too slow or busy to be helpful to customers, but that's not the case here. The service is such that you can engage with employees and know right away that they care about solving your problem or satisfying the need for your visit. If you're in a rush, there's a good chance that you can get in and out fairly quickly. This is something so basic, but seemingly rare. Keep up the good work!

While waiting in line, one of their employees was on the phone with a customer and once he got off the phone I clearly heard him drop a few "F" bombs in reference to the customer on the phone right in front of my daughter! i bought my car about a year and a half ago from Tommy Neutz when he was running the car dealership…read moreacross the street from this repair shop. recently he sold that and is exclusively running this business now. when that change happened, i got hold of him and asked him if he would still be doing my warranty work and would still look at my car before i have to drive it out of town like before, and he said yes, nothing had changed. now i've had a personal tragedy. my 25yo daughter took her own life, and i have to drive nearly 3 hours away to deal with things there in a week. so i got hold of Tommy today and told him this and asked him to look at my car first and he refused. he also said i'd have to go somewhere else for my warranty work. apparently all over a disagreement we had over some work i thought should be done just after i got the car which i thought was behind us, especially since he had only recently reiterated that he would be doing my work and all would be the same. he waited til i have no time to find another reputable place to do any work if a check finds it's needed and left me out in the cold. and this after he even invited me to church with him when i bought the car. i cannot believe he is leaving me in the lurch like this and not keeping his word. i know a lot of people think the world of Tommy, and i did too, but this shows me who he really is. i'm sorry to say it, but it's true. and now i will have to figure out what to do about this on top of what has happened to my baby.
