Useless. Expensive. & u have to chase & harass them depending on the state. They only got 1 lawyer in Indiana & hes overworked, probably same for every state. Trucking is to get in & out of. Im just about done but if i wasnt i wouldnt use dlp. I think its the system too. Used them a couple times for over ten yrs but recently experiences arent good. So pointless. I do not recommend this company to anyone. They do not work. They are only interested in collecting your money. Then they ask for money to reschedule your appointment. They tell you that every two weeks they will send you the results of the Courts and after a while they do nothing. They sent me a letter saying that the case was closed. They did not even try to fight it. They did not even ask for a receipt for the damage to the trailer. I am very upset. I found out thoroughly before hiring them. These people literally do not work. They work very poorly and not for the convenience of their clients. They just want to collect. read more

They charged me hundreds of dollars up front and listed their past successes as an indicator of their success rate. Then they failed to get either of my two tickets dismissed, and they wanted to charge me more money. And the representatives on the phone gave me attitude and were disrespectful to top it off. End result, it would have been cheaper and less of a headache to just pay the tickets and the result would have pretty much been the same. Never use these guys. read more

Had to do a written declaration from a speeding ticket on I-40 in California.... then payed $700 to go to trial after I was found guilty... got screwed in court. Never using Interstate Trucker again. This place is the absolute worst. Do NOT hire them unless you want to lose your case on a trial by declaration for a $450 fee. $450 for them to write a letter to the court? Yep. I truly believe that Interstate Trucker-Driver's Legal is a sham. I currently work for a company that uses them and actually handle of my driver's claims. More than 70% of the claims that we have done has been a complete hot mess with nobody knowing what's going on. These drivers pay for their services monthly, and nobody keeps in contact with them regarding their cases. I've had drivers get failures to appear in the mail because Driver's Legal did not handle their business, and I've had drivers show up to court because it's mandatory and the counsel did not appear. What can I say about Interstate Trucker Legal Defense, except that this place is "HORRIBLE and BAD SERVICE". Truckers stay away from this place, they are full of LIES, and Deceit! I bought their insurance plan which say's that if you get a ticket if will cost $100 for a lawyer to show up to court for you, ok sounds good, but found out that when I got my first ticket the receptionist told me that the lawyer that they had in their system was 135-43 meaning that she won 135 cases and lost 43. They told me to write out a letter and fax it to them explaining my side or story of events which, I did then they said that the lawyer would give me a call before she would go in and fight my case, in which I never got a call from these people, but a couple of weeks later got a call from Interstate Trucker explaining that they settle my case with the D.A. of Jackson County, MI and that due to the fact I live in Komifornia, my ticket wouldn't report to the DMV, if I didn't get any tickets within 90 days. Next thing I know is that my ticket did report to California and when I called them to clarify this issue they said they will fix it, so next thing I know the ticket kept reporting and California kept putting a point on my record until, I had to get off the road and go home to clear this matter up myself. I called Interstate Trucker Legal Defense demanding a refund, and they assured me that this was a mess up between the court in Mi, and Ca DMV. A couple of months later received a ticket for allegedly speeding in which I wasn't, so once again repeat steps 1-3 write a letter, pay $100, speak to a lawyer, when I did the first two the receptionist said that the lawyer will call me in a couple of days never received a call from any lawyer just some paralegal saying that they lost the case and the ticket was reporting. I asked the lady over the phone was she a lawyer and she said no, and why I wasn't contacted by the lawyer as they advertised, she replied that is not in her field of work, and I asked for the supervisor to speak with, at this time i'm growing real suspicious of this place, so when a officer mgr. got on the phone I explained that I was really disappointed in the outcome of my case and why this lawyer who they said was handling my case never called me. The office mgr. tried giving some excuse that due to the amount of cases that the lawyer has sometimes their unable to speak with the clients, so I asked then who was the lawyer and what is their number, she responded that they don't give that information out and hung up the phone in my face. I was FURIOUS, so I called back and told them who I was and I wanted to cancel my subscription, they then said that I needed to send them a handwritten letter stating why I wanted to cancel my subscription, I told them NO! I'm telling you over the phone and if my bank account is charged any monthly fees it is considered fraud and I will sue them $20k under California law, So the receptionist put me on hold and came back and said they were canceling my subscription, and that they were sorry for any inconvience, and I told them that they were a Sorry, Worthless Company that is making money off of truckers in a ponzi scheme of having truckers pay $13.50 a month and $100 for moving violations and up to $2500 for representation that involves accidents. Long story short they are a gip rate ponzi scheme truckers keep in mind you pay $13.50 a month for subscription multiply that by 30k truckers a month that is $405,000 that they make multiply that by 12 months that's $4.86 million a year that they make off of their BS Subscription just to run some numbers. If i was you i would stay away from these rip offs i had them represent me on a speeding tickett, which i no i could have done a better job then this clown they sent, i mean she really looked like a clown but anyways i was tring to talk to her before we went into court she would just turn around and walk away from me, if i could get anything from her it was her defending the officer that have me the tickett, then during the hearing she only asked the officer two questions and me three, the DA tried to offer me a deal on the tickett and she said no, the officer wasnt even there when court started and she told them it was alright for them to call him a we would wait, which was about 20 min. Later, i told the clown that if that was me they would be issueing a warrent, so she sayes he has the right to be there . Have had Interstate Legal plan on retainer for well over a year. Though u "save" at $13.50 month then pay $100 for representation, as others exp, would of been better off doing myself, except I'm very busy usually out on the road in entire US for 2-3 weeks a month.Only advantage was not getting failure to appear, but trial by declaration should of sufficed, adding that I had a likely real possible equipment failure due to recent truck wash at Blue Beacon Barstow .CA, getting water on electrical components, so engine brake didn't work temporally(I've had on truck before due to engine washing ) also my truck even has warning light sensor for water that gets under fuel cap after truck wash. Any other lawyer in US would reduce a moving violation to an equipment violation, even if wasn't one! Then you pay court cost/fee. Non moving, no points, court gets $, everyone happy. They had my ph # but never contacted me as to update or result. I kept phoning and was told continuance. But then in the mail I got $489 bail amount from court which had to be posted. So called legal plan, they took credit over phone, my God, founder is former prosecutor, I think they are working for the courts in each state, than representing the driver. Quick and easy to take payments for themself, and the court. But is like pulling teeth trying to get update on case. So ended up with minor speeding, they said reduced from serious but thats not true, as if im not mistaken is over 15 mph, i was shown alleged 70 in 55 for 3 axle or more trucks(by tge way why does CA still have staggered speed limits for cars and trucks when federal statistics prove uniform speed for cars and trucks is safer! I thought CA was a leader, but OH and IL changed to uniform speed. Also TX is smart realized trucks andcars going over 70 use more fuel so could make more in fuel tax and other fuel related services than the odd ticket. Still court kept my $489, ? Is if was reduced to minor speeding wouldn't I be getting some $ back, as would be different bail amounts? I rest my case. Then they said would take to trial, wait, I thought that's what u were doing in first place? But no, is further money grab, they now want $675 more for appeal! Which is it? Take to trial as reps said? Or appeal? So the one handling case? Is going to email me court info/case info so I can appeal myself, but if have to appear, so I may just start appeal ball rolling, then pay a local Barstow attorney to appear. Who in appeal would represent my side of story, with my best interest, to get reduced as have proof of truck wash that same day with Blue Beacon, as my company has an account. I've done a better job myself fighting ticket in NM, and got dismissed as not sworn in trial by phone, so not under court oath of God deemed exparte communication. Was some legwork on my part, first to appellate court, then superior court, finally letter with my $150 MO returned, said reviewed and dismissed! And I'm just a driver right? I saw an ad at a truck stop for Interstate Truckers, and thought I'd try them out for a overweight ticket. I have split axles on the trailer and forgot to hit the switch for the axle after a turn, so it was overweight, thou I had CAT Scaled and was legal overall, and would have been on the axle if it was aired up; the fine was over $4,500. It took them 3 months to end, and when I spoke with the lawyer, Linnie out of OK city, she just made it seem like an impossible case to fight, and the result would send me to jail for life! So, I better just take whatever she had on the table! I took the reduced amount, which she bargained, because I really didn't have any other choice, according to her! As for this legal beagle: Linnie, she was arrogant and spoke down to me like I'm an idiot trucker, all the while acting like I should be glad to be paying her the amount that I was. Anyway, the fine, court cost and lawyer fees ended up saving me a couple hundred bucks from the original $4,500. I highly don't recommend these people or will use them in the future. I been with Interstate Trucker (drivers legal plan) over two years now. This Highway Patrol cited me for Disobey Regulation Sign because I was installing snow chains on a non-snow chain area. I have lost the case unfortunately. I'm very disappointed with Interstate Trucker for fighting my ticket and completely got nothing out of it. My argument is that I would understand if the citation was for running the stop sign or reckless driving. These guys can't even fight a minor moving violation. I'm new to Interstate Trucker and how can I rely on them with a heavier violation? When I first submitted my ticket to Interstate Trucker, they had told me on the phone about their reputation winning cases in the county that I was cited, it gave me great hope. I do not mind taking a survey or enter my testimony onto their website. I think customer feedback are important to businesses. I do not recommend Interstate Trucker. read more
