well, when I left the salon my hair looked good. next day when I washed it and got all the product out, it was dry, brittle and breaking off. Today is the second day, and it's breaking off worse. I use professional shampoo and conditioner, so I know it's not me using bad products. I have a head full of straw. SO disappointed. Shannon was very nice and pleasant.. not complaints there, but I am just fried. You just never know what is going to happen to you when you try a new place. Today was supposed to be my daughter's 3rd visit to the salon. Last time the stylist cancelled last minute but they were able to get us in with another stylist at the same level/price. Today we were notified 90 mins before her appt that the stylist called out sick (again). When I asked if someone else could do the services they said only someone at the highest level. I asked if they would honor the lower price because it meant $270 instead of $127. They said no - that is not their protocol. I understand the higher level stylist should not be expected to charge less for us, but I think the salon should have eaten the loss since they cancelled on us. They have now lost us as clients. I think their policy is very nearsighted considering we would have spent thousands of dollars for years to come. read more

I had a great first appointment with Suzanne for a full foil. She was able to correct spots of banding all over my hair that caused my hair to look like it wasn't straight when it was. My blonde hair is now a beautiful color with all traces of banding gone. Had my hair cut at this location and had to immediately depart for Europe to see after my mother who had been hospitalized. When I returned to the US 12 weeks later, I was having my hair styled and the quality of the Intrigue Salon cut was brought to my attention, specifically the back of my head. My hair was straightened so that I could see what was meant. To my dismay my hair was so badly cut, it was glaring and obviously visible. I called the Intrigue Salon and spoke with the manager, sent over pics of the botched hair cut . They offered no remedy at all and merely stated that because it was past their one week reclamation policy, they could do nothing. Customer service is extremely poor. Avoid this salon at all cost!! I had my hair done by Kyle & Angela. I had known Kyle from previously doing my hair and she recently started working at Intrigue as Angela'a assistant so I thought I could trust her recommendation. Boy was I wrong. Obviously, blonde is a process, but I was told that I would reach a darker blonde tone (as circled in the picture). When I left, my hair was barely any different... after SIX hours and $350!!! Angela promised me my hair would fade and it did... to green. My hair was extremely damaged and an ugly color. I asked to come in and have it fixed. She applied a toner and a deep conditioner for free. The toner just made my hair darker. I then asked both Kyle and Angela for a partial refund in which I waited days to hear back. So I called the salon. A month later they finally found time for me to come in, in which they told me my hair looked just like the picture?!?!Angela told me she never promised me a blonde shade and that my hair turned out lighter than expected. Funny because the day I got it done when she tried to take pictures she kept saying you just can't see the color because the lighting is bad. It will lighten up. Salons have very bright lights; there was no reason I shouldn't have been able to see the blonde. The owner eventually offered me a $45 credit but I will NOT be going back. I've been a customer for 5 years and have been displeased the past few times I've visited with multiple stylist. Also, Kyle unfollowed me on social media and never responded to my refund inquiry. First time visit... Olivia did a great job!! I think I may have found my new salon!!!

I was an intrigue client years ago, and when my stylist left, I followed her to the new salon. During quarantine, I was lured back by the safety protocols Intrigue advertised. I have been coloring my hair every 4-6 weeks for 30 years. (I was prematurely gray in my late teens.) So, I kinda know a few things about my hair and how it does or doesn't respond to color. Colee was my stylist. I thought it strange that even after seeing her monthly for 6 months, she never engaged me in much conversation, or asked me the basic first appointment questions, like what do you do for a living, do you have kids, etc. In fact, it took several appointments for Colee to even say more than a few words except to complain about my resistant hair. The first time, she argued with me that I didn't need to be under the heat, even though the color didn't take properly without it. The second time, she complained after turning my roots pink bc she was in a hurry to pick up her dog, and told me I would be charged extra for the extra color and time it took to correct her mistake. The next appointment, she told me if she couldn't figure out how to make my roots not turn pink, she was going to refuse to do my hair again. Although, if she had the correct formula, the color would have taken in the allotted time. Again, not my first rodeo. The final straw was when she said she'd finally figured out the correct formula for my hair, and then my hair turned out purple. When I stated the obvious and mentioned it was too purple, she shrugged and said it would eventually fade. When it was time for my next appointment, I had finally learned my lesson. So, I scheduled with another stylist, Lee. Lee was friendly at first, but after she consulted with Colee about my formula, she came back to the chair and was totally silent for the remainder of the appointment, which was incredibly awkward. The absolute last straw was when Colee walked up to the wash bowls, saw me sitting there, and said to Lee "I'm sorry, I mean not really, but sorry!" Wtf?! Bottom line-Life is too short to deal with Mean Girl behavior, and especially to spend hundreds of dollars each month at a place that actively tries to make you feel like shit. read more

She had a positive attitude, works hard, cares about her clients, is professional and personable. Unfortunately for me, she is no longer there. I had a truly awful experience here. Do not get Olivia. The whole time she barely spoke and seemed like she was rushing to finish my cut. I asked to get hair length to the bottom of my neck grazing my shoulders. She cut it asked me if I liked the length which was a little too short but it was still cute. so then I had my head down and she was trimming it which i didnt think much of because I asked for some layers but by the time i looked up my hair was the length of my chin. And she asked if it was too short and i was like yea and that was that. Such a bad experience. for reference im attaching a picture of what i wanted vs what i got. She is definitely not worth the money. I've had generally ok experience with other stylists at intrigue but none as bad as this. Right before i move in for my freshman year of college too. I went here after recommendations from three different people. I had high hopes for this place because I am UBER picky about my thick, wavy blonde hair. It's my signature and I like it to be well taken care of. So much that I'll pay an arm and a leg for the best cut and color. The first appointment I made I only got a partial highlight so I could feel the place out. I was put under the dryer for about 45 minutes (this is so bad for your hair btw), my hair was washed, dried and straightened (wavy + thick = frizzes). I didn't notice the tiger stripes at my ears until I got in the car but they were BAD. You could see about a quarter inch of my natural light brown hair, then a stripe of orange, then the blonde.... totally disgusting and absolutely unacceptable. I called the salon to complain but did not want to have my hair over processed on the same day again. Instead, I asked that they please make a note so that my next appointment would not have this problem. My second appointment: WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I saw the same girl, suzie (or Susanne or whatever). We talked about the tiger striping and I asked her to please try and get closer to my scalp so it wouldn't happen again. I was really nice about it bc hey, I was about to let her near my hair again. Here's what I got: 1) Was left under the dryer for over an hour, it even stopped and I sat there for 10 minutes waiting. She didn't have any other clients. 2) She cut my bangs while they were wet. WHAT STYLIST DOES THAT??! They ended up being way way way too short (I wear them long, I even showed her a picture). 3) She gave me a blunt end hair cut which is completely wrong for my hair type, it needs to be textured on the ends. Also, I asked her to layer it and my layers were all uneven and wacky. 4) Looking through my hair color there are LINES where you can see the color difference. These lines are about 5 inches from my scalp. 5) She put some product in my hair when she was washing it and said "this will help with the tiger striping". You know what it was? I don't. But I can tell you that the rest of my hair is now faintly orange. Perhaps a strong "Sun In"?? DO NOT go to this woman, she doesn't have the slightest clue of what she is doing and if you HAVE been to her and you're satisfied with your hair, you don't have a clue as to what was actually messed up. I'll never go back to this salon. Obviously. And I hope that this review saves you your time and money because we all deserve to get what we pay for. **EDIT** Ok, I had my hair highlighted at the prestigious and beautiful Challise & Co. Salon in Canton. I can now tell, thanks to this awesome color job, that my cut (which has grown out for 8 weeks) is actually really good. Therefore, if you're willing to wait for your cut to grow out and get a color somewhere else, this salon is good at hair cuts. read more

It may seem strange having a guy review a salon, but my review is based on my wife's experience and my observations. My wife has never been dissatisfied with the haircuts she has gotten here. She drives all the way from Kennesaw just to come here. She says they cut and style her hair EXACTLY as she requests after discussion with the stylist. The colorist (I hope that's what she's called) always hits the right shade with just the right highlights. My observation? The woman who leaves that studio is even more beautiful than when she went in. She has a confidence and a smile that would illuminate a city. read more

I had an amazing experience at this salon. I made my first appointment with the salon yesterday, for today. When I showed up, the stylist who I was expecting to work with was sick, so I was offered to have my hair done by Kathy. She was a higher pay level than I requested, but they gave it to me for what I was expecting to pay, so I was very happy. Kathy and her assistant did a great job with highlighting, styling, and cutting my hair. I even trusted her enough to cut 3 inches off!! I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but I haven't cut my hair for than 2 inches in years. I'll definitely be going here for now on. Note- tips are mainly in cash only, but the lady who rang me up told me I could put the tip on my card if absolutely necessary. Great service! read more

I left the salon with a headache which was because of how harsh the stylist was, she kept pulling my hair so badly throughout the session and used high heat that was almost going to burn my scalp and face. It was definitely not a pleasant experience. About the hair cut, I went in for layers, came back with a straight cut and wasted $70. read more

I saw Amber for the first time and was VERY specific about not wanting it cut too short because I have curly hair and it gets shorter when its dry. When I washed it it was about 4 inches shorter than where I had asked after she assured me it wasn't that short. The appointment felt rushed and like she was just trying to get me out of the chair. WOW! I don't write reviews for anything. I came here today looking for simple highlights and a base touchup. I saw Olivia based off of a friends recommendation, and I was not disappointed. We talked about what I wanted and she didn't even have to see a picture and completely nailed what I was looking for. I'm not a huge talker when I get my hair done and always feel bad but she just vibed with it and let me read my book and I have to say it was the most relaxing hair appointment I've had in a long time. Made an appointment at 9am for a haircut with Olivia. After about 25 minutes of waiting, the manager told me she was stuck in traffic and would be there soon. 35 minutes and she was only "5 minutes away." After 45 minutes of waiting, I left. I would not recommend this stylist as she does not show up for appointments. However, the manager called me and offered a credit to my account if I chose to return for a haircut. So good customer service on management's end. I would consider returning for a different hair stylist. read more

Not bad, but certainly expected more from an Aveda salon. Expert stylist used clippers on my haircut. I can get a clipper cut from Great Clips. No destress massage, like all the other Aveda salons I've been to. Can't put tip on credit card charges. Strange and very inconvenient. Although they have an ATM on site, but you'll get charged a usage fee as it's a generic machine. Overall, decent cut, no personal attention, probably won't be going back. read more

Rose was so great! She listened to me and asked a lot of questions to see what I really wanted, and did a new (to me) technique that worked really well on my hair. This salon is amazing. I've been going to intrigue for years and I've seen many different stylists for an array of different services, and I've never been disappointed. I've been a blonde for a long time and people always ask me where I get my hair done. Intrigue! Every stylist at every level knows their stuff. Other salons will bring their staff to Intrigue for continued education, so clearly Intrigue knows what they're doing. They're so accommodating and are great with customer service, too. You always know exactly how much you are going to pay before the appointment starts, which is something I really appreciate. By far the worst service I have received, hair stylist would not let me do what I wanted to my hair and turned my hair color to a color I did not want at all.
