She encouraged me to parler francais as much as I could. She also spent time walking and talking and enjoying Paris with me. We shopped at at fresh produce market, ate some wonderful eastern foods and toured a small musee in Montmarte! I stayed in a great little hotel just blocks from her apartment. I planned my stay around her location and was not disappointed in the neighborhood, her tutoring or my entire experience! I know I returned home a little more comfortable with my pronunciations. I would recommend Caroline as she structured her lessons around my needs and comfort level.

I just finished…read morea two-week intensive (90 min sessions, M-F) and found it very helpful for advancing my conversational French. Caroline quickly adapts the coursework to areas that will help you improve the most, so it really feels like every minute is used wisely. We worked through advanced grammar points, brushed up on some basics, and also worked through vocabulary for everyday situations which I put to work immediately while on vacation. She is very responsive over email and very kind and helpful in person-- I sent her an email from the US a few weeks before my trip and was able to schedule all of the sessions in advance. She tailors each lesson…read moreto the area of focus you need or request and then gives you corresponding work between lessons. She's so patient and understanding when you aren't prepared or just aren't getting it. She did a fantastic job preparing me for a DELF exam. We had done many practice scenarios so I was well prepared for both the content and the format of the testing. I've recently moved to France and she's also answering my integration questions and has helped me role play new situations such as the dry cleaner, the cheese shop, the produce market and so on. She's helped me feel more comfortable speaking and interacting in french. I highly recommend Agnes as a teacher, I feel lucky to be working with her.

I studied with Agnes for ~2 months…read moreand she helped me basically go from zero to feeling comfortable with some originally daunting tasks (e.g. ordering from restaurants / cafes, asking questions in shops). I appreciate how  Agnes was open to tailoring our learning plan to my goals, but also had a very organized and thoughtful system for expanding my grammatical sense and vocabulary. She also had great balance between patiently allowing me to learn by experimenting but also interjecting with timely pronunciation / grammatical / cultural context. And she was very easy to schedule lessons with. She has a busy schedule, but she was very reliable and responsive in helping setting up a lesson schedule. Also, I did all my lessons on video and her approach there is wonderful as well. Agnes is a nice person and a great teacher, so highly recommend!
