From I was due my upgrade I had been getting lots of sales calls from different phone companies everyday, which became a real nuisance. They were quoting me prices for iphones and tariffs that had to be agreed to there and then, as whatever deal may not be available tomorrow etc. I felt that they were trying to rush and push me into signing up to something in haste. With Carphone Warehouse things were completely different. The staff member Aaron wasn't pushy in the slightest. He got me a decent deal and set my phone up ready to use within 15 minutes. They have lots of phones with good deals instore and online.

I immediately thought of the Repair Lounge down to the their catchy radio ads. First up, it's pretty easy to find, opposite the junction of Tates Avenue on the Lisburn Road. If you're driving park on one of the many side streets rather than trying to get a space on the Lisburn Road. The shop itself is minimal, you walk in and you are presented with platformed area, don't let this put you off, that's where the phone fixers sit. When I went in (about 3pm on a Monday) the two guys were noticeably busy, one on the phone and one in the middle of dissecting an iPhone but I waited patiently. Once they were free I asked how much and how long it would take to get my phone screen repaired. They then explained to me that it varied from £100 - £140 depending on the quality of the glass used for the screen. This didn't put me off as I expected it to be in that area. What did put me off was the wait - they explained that they had a huge back log of phones to repair and with Monday being delivery day I couldn't get it repaired straight away. This wait made me go somewhere else, but the experience wasn't bad at all. I understand that it's a skilled job to fix these devices and that Monday is their busiest day - especially after all the weekend smashes! Cool set up and really knowledgeable staff - I'll be back no doubt!

The screen he put on started to pop out away from the screen a couple of months after he fixed it. He blamed the phone and when it got so bad I had to call him back, he made excuse after excuse. Then I got an appointment and he didn't turn up. He then accused me of being rude so that he could say he wouldn't serve me. I was left waiting for an hour and a half and no sign. I've since heard other horror stories about him. AVOID.

I seen other websites but most didnt have a business address (some nothing more than a contact form with made-up testimonials) and i wasnt sending my phone off to some amateur! i thought i would try them myself after i broke the screen on my iPhone 4 and was very happy with the job they done on my phone. I waited on it being fixed with a complimentary cup of tea (full marks for this!) and highly recommend them to anyone in belfast with a broken iphone! I chanced my arm and tried to see if they could fix it before ringing up the insurance company and paying the excess. Not only did they fix my Blackberry screen, but they charged £20 less than my insurance company would have. As well as this they did it for me there and then. It was superb service.
