I had my hair done with Mauricio - scalp treatment, deep conditioning, highlights and cut. He is very talented and I leave feeling like a million bucks. My hair looks smooth, voluminous, and shiny. He worked his magic on my dry, brittle, lifeless hair. It's been over a decade plus I get frustrated that my hair color turns brassy after color/highlight and I hated it. Well Mauricio mixed brown with ash and it looks natural vs brassy even after months. I was always told, that's the nature of Asian hair, you can't do anything about it. Well, now I know the truth. It's just bad hair colorist who don't understand what they're doing. I also had a pedicure and the rave reviews are correct! They do a thorough job and you feel so pampered. I've now had two manicures and a pedicure here, and I would highly recommend it. My nail tech, Tina does an amazing job and honestly probably one of the best manicures I've had. I can't say enough about how impressed I am with Pop Central salon!! Mylinh & her staff are amazing. They put the clients health first and are meticulous in the job they do. This is not a rush job and the end results show it. The salon is very clean, all tools are sterilized & everything is done keeping safety and health at the forefront. I really do not want to share my experience because I appreciate the mani's/no chips/etc. that I have received. Yet, this last visit was a bit much. I make appointments before every visit (you can't make an appointment with your technician, it has to be with the owner). Because the prices of a mani ($45)/no chip ($60) are comparatively higher than most of the neighborhood nail salons, I expected that I would receive spa-like service. Today, I arrived for my 1 pm appointment, was asked to wait 15 minutes, and only was taken at 1:26 pm. This isn't the first time overbooking, etc. has taken place. I was on my way out of town, I received a text to push back my appointment by an hour */-. I had to cancel with Ipop because a delay in my appointment would throw off leaving out of town. If you value your time and don't mind an overpriced nail service, then this is your place. They do a great job! Costly, not punctual. Grace periods for appointments are usually 10-15 minutes. read more
