Tomato Soup Base and Winter Melon Pork Bone Soup Base
    Benny L.

Went on a Wednesday night for AYCE hot pot. Since it's getting late, there were only around 5 occupied tables. We ordered 2 rounds and each time the dishes came out promptly. We had the tomato soup base and the winter melon pork bone soup base and both were good. The wagyu beef was fresh and soft. There was also a great variety, from mushrooms, tofu, sweet potatoes and assorted vegetables to mussels, noodles, and pork, to choose from. They also had great already-cooked dishes and desserts. I especially like the fried buns and pumpkin parrake. I thought the price of under $38/person for the AYCE was decent and reasonable. The price covered all food except drinks. A shout out to the young waiter with brown curly hair. With a big smile, he was very friendly, attentive, and helpful.

We came here for my friends birthday. They charge you around 37 per person and it's all you can eat. Everything was good but the kitchen closed midway and they told us that the kitchen was closing and it stressed us out a bit which shifted the vibe. Other than that the staff are so nice and the food is yummy. The watermelon drink was so good and the boba was good

Watched superbowl here. Pretty good hotpot + grill ayce place in sunset district. This one does the grill right, like their grill which seems to be ceramic or titanium that doesn't stick and burn easily. Marinate and thickness are about right. For hotpot variety is pretty good, standout is the large selection of soup varieties (but doesn't seem to have strong flavor, rather mild). Meat is fine though not much standout. Desert there is mochi ice cream. They biang biang hand pulled noodles are fun and good texture, though it is very hard to find very good biang biang noodles. Korean short ribs wasn't enough done, still had some rare bits. A lot of things to try though not top notch, but who is.

Hotpot and KBBQ on one table

Great experience at this place! Upon getting seated, we scanned the QR code to look at what's available (it's the same price for whether you eat both KBBQ and hotpot or only one type) to order everything and within minutes the food started coming out. Servers were great at handling our large orders of meat and sides, changing out our grill once it got too burnt, and also refilling our water cups. Sauce bar also had side dishes like fruit and kimchi / seaweed salad. We asked them to do something special for our friend whose birthday we were celebrating, so they played the Happy birthday song and also gave a discount on our bill! If you plan on coming with a large party, you can also sign up for their free membership with a phone number and get 5% cash back and reward points for future visits

The dirty plate they served me

I don't understand how this place is ranked so highly. When we got started, I noticed that 2 of the 4 plates were dirty. The sauce bar looked very unclean, and some ingredients seemed to have gone bad. We ordered several items that we never received, even after politely reminding the servers. The food quality was mediocre--I ordered the steamed pork buns, and they came out cold in the middle. The broth was extremely diluted, so you're essentially cooking in plain water. That said, the servers were very kind, but the restaurant's system is clearly not working. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

We came here at night on Wednesday, and here's my experience: 1. Ambiance (4/5) The restaurant had a casual vibe and was quite busy when we arrived. It was clean and had plenty of seating. 2. Service (5/5) The service was excellent. We got a table for five quickly because we had already joined the waitlist on Yelp. All the staff were friendly and super attentive. Great service here! :) 3. Food (4/5) - Hot Pot (5/5):We ordered the Tom Yum and Miso hot pots. The broth was delicious and had an authentic, rich flavor. The meat was tender and fresh, and the vegetables were good too. I truly recommend the hot pot here! - BBQ (3/5): Personally, I didn't like the way the meat was seasoned. I prefer it unseasoned so you can taste the freshness of the meat. I also wish they had more variety in the meat options, lettuce, and vegetables. - Appetizer: It was okay, but our grilled ribs were super chewy :( - Drinks & Dessert (2/5): The drinks and desserts were way too sweet for us -- the boba tea, ice cream, and jelly.:( Overall: I definitely recommend the hot pot -- it was hella good! The servers were very nice and helpful. One downside was that the drinks and desserts were really sweet for us. Next time, I'd try a different broth!

Didn't even get to eat here due to the wait time for people with reservations We had a 7:00 pm reservation on Saturday (booked through Resy). The app showed plenty of availability, so we expected things to run on time. When we arrived, it was difficult to even check in, there didn't seem to be a dedicated host, and the person handling check-ins was also waiting tables. When we finally got to check in, we were told there would be a 15-20 minute wait. After 10 minutes, we checked again and got the same answer. We also noticed that tables seated at 7:00 were still waiting for their server 20 minutes later with no food. By 7:35, we were told our table was "almost ready," but we had other plans at 9:00 and decided to leave. Can't comment on the food or the ambiance, but the service and organization really need work. It seems like they're overbooking reservations, which is frustrating for guests who plan ahead. I can totally understand a 10-15 min hold up but 30+ min is a bit much.

I never leave reviews, this place was terrible in terms of service and food quality. We had a burnt grill for 30 minutes, no service in terms of communication between us or their own staff. No water at the refill station, and no service to be found. The male with the two earrings in one ear tried to tell us that the menu was "lagging" even when we were waiting for over 10+ minutes for any type of server to come assist us. My cripple granny move faster and she doesn't have any working legs!

Looking for an AYCE hot pot and KBBQ? iPot is the place. I haven't been here in a few years and noticed a few things changed on their menu&service. They have one person from the table sign an agreement form that you know the pot/stove is hot. I usually do the AYCE hot pot. They have a variety of meats, veggies and noodles. They have a self service sauce bar with other appetizers (oranges, kimchi and etc).

Food is great and generously served. The service is top notch. My server Audrey is beautiful and friendly. She made me feel like I was a kid in a candy store. She helped me and gave me the best experience. The place is big and spacious. I truly appreciate and recommend making this a part of your destination when you are in the mood for AYCE Barbecue and Hot Pot .

The food was amazing! We came in for Mother's Day and I was very impressed that they didn't have a limit on order like other Korean BBQ. The service was great they let us pick what table we wanted. The place also looks amazing for a small spot. Highly recommend this place!!!

All of the dishes were decent and were presented nicely, but nothing I tasted made me go "wow, I need more of this". Crab was fresh, but nothing amazing was done to it that a fresh crab from another restaurant could not emulate. But due to the door mishap, I did not want to walk over to take pictures of their food/order. Okonomiyaki Fries - Was too soggy for me, but everyone else on our table enjoyed it. Popcorn Salmon - I did not enjoy this, but everyone else on both tables loved it, so it was "a me problem." Boneless Fried Chicken - I enjoyed it, but no one else did?!?! I guess I have very different tastes from this group...? Tonkatsu Ramen - Good. But very basic. Beef Short Rib Plate - Three orders, both people enjoyed it. Well, the beef was of decent quantity, I actually brought a little back home for leftovers, with the boneless fried chicken. At home, it was a little too salty, too much soy sauce. Sizzling Bibimbap - My daughter's dish which was also good. I believe she had leftovers. Our other table got the regular bibimbap, they said next time they will try the sizzling as they felt that was better. Lastly, our guest on the other table ordered one of each dessert for both tables. Mango Panna Cotta & Chocolate Tartufo - I am not a chocolate person, but enjoyed the Tartufo better. Our guest wanted Soju! The first time, so we ended up ordering two hot larges. Smooth and went down too easily. I then finished my meal with a Ballast Point Sculpin IPA. Plenty of street parking. Service - Okay, the front door has issues... It stays open, then does NOT close. It is slanted, so you have to "force" it to close. When we ALL got here, I guess we left the front door open by accident. Well, the waitress did NOT appreciate that (I stayed outside taking my Yelp pictures while everyone else walked in). She gave me a LOOK... While I was still outside, more people came in and I tried to close the door for them and because the door is slanted, it did not close and had to be "forced" resulting in a slam, sorry. Got another look... After that, I went straight to my seat. Menus on the table. Price - Expensive, or did we order too much? I think our bill with tax and tip came out to almost $800. The quail came in a hot plate where they then proceed to flambee it with some lemon and pepper. The chicken lollipops were piping hot and worth a try. All were about a 4/5. We also ordered the Garlic Roasted crab and it was huge. It came on top of a plate of buttery and garlicky noodles. Cooked perfectly and plenty to go around. Green bean and spinach in an egg drop slurry round out our meal with some vegetables. The highlight of the night was the Lao Mei Rice. The pork tenderloin in there was 6/5. It was deliciously umami and so tender. One of the best I ever had. Service was also top notch. They were friendly, helpful and quick to offer suggestions and replaced water and plates with a smile.

Update: Iam so impressed with how this was handled. shortly after my first review, the management…read more(Judy) reached out to me personally. they were genuinely concerned about the mistake and the potential allergy risk, which I really appreciated. They quickly cleared up a mix up with the order number and issued a full refund immediately. The onigiri and sushi bake were already hits with my daughter, so we'll definitely be returning soon. My son is still looking forward to trying that taiwanese minced pork bowl

I came here at the recommendation of a friend in the neighborhood, and honestly, my thoughts about…read morethe place so far are that the food and experience were average. Everything about the ordering process and the quality of the food itself was good but not great. There was no wow factor or anything that left me feeling extra motivated to return, but I also wouldn't be opposed if I were nearby and craving onigiri. There's a single kiosk in-store to order at, but you can also place an order with the person working the counter if it's not too busy. I wasn't sure what I wanted immediately, so I waited for one of my friends to finish before ordering. I added 1 unagi eel, 1 unagi onigiri, and 1 crab onigiri to my basket and checked out. I have absolutely no idea what's the difference between "unagi eel" and "unagi onigiri", and when I went to pick up my order, the staff member told me my order was two unagi and one crab. However, I was charged $4.50 for the unagi eel and $4.30 for the unagi onigiri, so go figure. I could not detect a difference between the two, and the price of each averaged out to $4.40, so it's whatever. I unwrapped one of the unagi onigiris to eat in-store as we waited for a Zoox to arrive. It was actually pretty difficult to extricate the seaweed and rice ball filling in one piece to consume together, which I presume is because the onigiris are each made-to-order and due to the freshness, the separate ingredients haven't had a chance to marinate and congeal together. As I had not eaten all day, I quickly devoured the onigiris before and after our short ride back to a café where some of our other friends were waiting. The onigiris were, as I mentioned before, pretty standard minus the fact they kind of fell apart. I would say if you like onigiris, then these will get the job done, but they're nothing exceptional, so keep your standards at baseline.

We ordered the kumquat umeshu highball and the lemon oolong highball and really enjoyed, quite refreshing. We ended up getting the small squab, lamb skewer, Mapo spaghetti, and eggplant. I liked that they had a small squab option which was perfect for two people. The meal started with complimentary cucumbers and peanuts snacks perfect paired with a drink. Everything was delicious but if I pick a favorite, I think it would be the eggplant. The lamb was very tender and flavorful. It's a small restaurant so I would probably only come with 2-4 people. I think you can walk in but the wait seemed quite long so I'd try to get a res. I wish it was easier to get one or I'd be back more often :)

We ended up ordered 1/3 of the menu, probably. Everything from their speciality squab to the limited time menu items like Singaporean chile crab. Everything was really delicious (only complaint is the crab sauce drowning the bread, order the bread to be on the side to avoid this situation). The popular dessert item was the red bean shaved ice, which was very nice to balance out the meal.

I also like the outdoor patio section, which is nicely decorated as well. The service was fantastic! The servers checked up on us periodically and even gave me a free drink for my birthday :) The food was also amazing! I tried the whole menu, and everything was delicious. My favorites were definitely the perilla oil noodles, the crudo, and the beef tartare. It was my first time trying raw beef (yukhoe), and I enjoyed it! The makgeolli (I tried the white lotus and the traditional) was also very tasty! Not too sweet and not much alcoholic taste :) Overall, I loved the ambiance and the food here - definitely would not only come back, but also would recommend to others!

They recommend 2-3 dishes per person and they're quite pricey. We ended up ordering the perilla leaf oil noodles, pork jowl, yellowtail crudo, and Korean fried chicken. The service was very fast which was nice. I liked the perilla leaf oil because it was sweet and very flavorful. The pork jowl was tender and came with ssam and sauces. I thought it was good but the portion was pretty small. The yellowtail crudo was nice and I liked the spicy sauce that went with it. Lastly, the Korean fried chicken was alright. It definitely wasn't life changing but it was a good way to end the meal. Overall, I thought it was a nice restaurant and meal but would only come back again for a special occasion.
