I went to get a new pair of glasses a couple days ago. Linda was super helpful and took the time to explain to me how the eye exam works and made sure I understood the process before proceeding. She was also very patient and helped me try on many different frames before choosing the final one. Overall, a really pleasant experience meeting Linda and Gadi! I was in a rush, and getting the finished glasses only took four hours (including the eye exam). The glasses looked great and fitted really well!Initially, I wasn't planning on wearing them on a day to day basis, but after seeing the final product, I would probably wear them more frequently. If I could give 10 stars, I would! And I'm a hard person to impress..... I lost my only pair of glasses and because I wear progressives I was having an extremely difficult time trying to find a place that would promise me same or next day glasses. It was a Friday and my 2nd day without being able to see. I was getting a headache and I was unable to do important work that needed to be done. I was stressing out and all of the places I called, well, it almost felt to me like they were taking the opportunity to jack up the price due to my urgent situation. One place quoted me over $699 just for the lenses! (I'll deal with them later... ) Frustrated and stressing hard, I emailed IQ very late in the evening on Thursday and I got a reply the following morning. Moreover, they called me and followed up which I appreciated. Linda was honest and said if I could get there by 1pm that would be able to get my glasses the following day which was a Saturday and if I got there after 1pm that they'd try but it would probably be Monday due to the Lab and their hours. I jumped in my car and got to Sherman Oaks by 12:30. I was cutting it close and I still needed to try on frames. I didn't want to have to buy something I didn't absolutely love but given my situation, I had to keep in mind that I may have to settle for something in order to meet the 1pm order deadline. I tried on about 8 or 9 pairs and I found a really cute pair of oversized MK thick black framed cat eyes with a hint of gold trim that looked really good on me if I don't say so myself! Linda helped me decide as I was teetering on another pair but her taste was right on the money and I ordered my glasses! She's got a great eye! Thr next day around 11am I got the call that my glasses were ready! I was so happy..... 10 hour turn around for super cute, designer frames with progressive lenses! Now that's impressive! AND..... I can send my bill in to my insurance company for reimbursement so I'm looking at a final out of pocket expense of under $100 for designer progressives when it's all said and done. I'd also like to note that the day before I contacted IQ Optical, I ordered glasses on EyeBuyDirect who had promised me a 2-3 business day turnaround which means the glasses were to arrive on or by the Tuesday after I picked up my order from IQ optical. I figured I'd order them just to have a backup because at that time, I hadn't been in to IQ yet and also, I want to have a back up pair just in case and so this situation doesn't happen to me again. Anyway.... it's now Saturday, a week after I got my frames from IQ and a week and a half after ordering online from EBD for my supposed 2-3 day delivery and they have yet to not only finish my glasses let alone send them. If I hadn't found IQ I don't know what I would have done. Honestly. Their outstanding customer service, professionalism, honesty and inventory is in a league of its own and they an example for other optical services to follow. I was driving by, and saw a new optical store opening up. I'm just so happy that I decided to give them a try. Made an appointment online for the same day exam and frame. I walked in and was immediately greeted by one of the consultants. Filled out forms and was immediately taken to an exam room with all hi-tech equipment. An eye exam took no more than 30 minutes after which I had a virtual appointment with an optician to finish an exam and then an Optometrist. Both answered all my questions and gave me a few recommendations. Staff checked my previous prescription for variances. With their help, I spent about 20 mins just trying on different frames cause I just wanted the right shape for me. No pressure here. The store has a large selection of various brands frames to choose from. And the prices are great, lower than most stores. I had an option of bringing my own frame, but decided to buy brand new Prada frame. I ordered, paid, got an email receipt and was told my glasses will be ready within few days, WOW!!!! The next day I was notified that my prescription glasses are ready to be picked up. THAT is JUST SO FAST. I went to back to pick them up, tried them on and absolutely loved it! The technician also advised me that if I ever need adjustments, just come to the store anytime and they'll do it for free. Simply impressive!  Big box stores should pay attention to IQ Optical practices on how to give the best customer service! It definitely won me. read more

I brought my prescription in for bifocals and when my glasses came back from the lab I could not see out of them. They hurt my eyes so they sent them back TWO more times and I STILL couldn't see out of them clearly. I then took the prescription to my regular eye doctor. I picked up my glasses today and I can see fine without any issues. This place could not make a pair of glasses that work. I am out $200 and will not go back. read more

I was given several options to fit my schedule. When I arrived for my appointment, I was given the preliminary eye tests, including a full retina scan. The vision test was performed remotely, which I have never experienced before. I was able to review my eye tests with the physician via zoom. IQ helped me out in a pinch. My glasses finally broke and I needed something ASAP. I showed up on a Friday around noon and I have a weird prescription one near one far and I needed progressive lenses. They did some tests on my eyes then uploading to a remote doctor who did my vision test via their system. It was cool. Got a full update my prescription and then they made me a temporary pair of single vision working glasses (computer distance) by 6p that night and my new pair with my progressive lenses by Tuesday I love this place and am so grateful to the amazing ladies for their help. My glasses were ready exactly as promised, fit and work great! The staff took extra time to demo the "transition" feature using their UV light box. They included a cleaning kit and case - nice! The ladies who run the shop are absolutely amazing. So personable and clear in all their instructions and explanations. I've never visited with a remote ophthalmologist before but it was super easy and pleasant. Picking out glasses and receiving them once they were done was super quick, and even though they don't take insurance, I was able to get my glasses cheaper and faster and than I would have been able to anywhere else, even if I factored in sales and insurance. Plus they still gave me an itemized receipt I could use to try to get an insurance reimbursement after the fact. I really really recommend coming here! Oh and they do contacts too! Honestly my favorite optometrist in the 20 years I've needed glasses! Also, the ability to communicate via text and make online appointments is such an amazing plus! read more

We used IQ optical this week for the first time because of my husband's good experience. I was very pleased. The measurements were done professionally, the advice about options was good, and I chose to have both regular and sunglasses made, both progressives. They were done quickly, as promised (in two days). They offer a same-day service, but I didn't need that. I particularly liked the gradation in the sunglasses, which makes it easier than with previous sunglasses to read something like instrument panels in the car while I'm driving.
